Knowing Prince Zhang Wei

Zhang Wei's chin was not keen enough for General Julius to notice that he had moved. He peeked out the window while a wind entered and messed his hair a little; his lips were, to some extent, bent up on the sides like a baby's happy smile, hydrated and pinkish. At the moment, however, they looked like they could kill a living being, almost fading the jokes out on his face. As if General Julius said something that made the Crown Prince pause to recover a stern working look.

"Do not worry about that, General Julius. I am in no hurry to get married to Princess Zina Foster. However, I wanted to know more about her to ensure your judgment is undeniably accurate." Crown Prince Zhang Wei self-confessed. "I still cannot have that clear image of what will the Crown Princess become when she marries me."

"Crown Prince, I will stop you if this goes out of hand." General Julius said dutifully. "That is my job as a General and as your friend. Even if I get on your nerves, I will still do it. I have no doubts that my own simple ways would not be even enough for the other dependents to copy me."

"General, you are never behind in anything." Zhang Wei praised General Julius as he met his gaze on the flower vase settled on the window's lower side. "To tell you the truth, of all the generals I have met, you, General Julius, are always active, quick, and responsible."

"Crown Prince, you are not supposed to give me all the credits. You are fully aware that my victory comes from my determined team. If something happened, that is for sure they got my back, or else I would already fail myself if I stayed as a General without cooperating with them."

General Julius' phrase remained respectable in front of the adored Crown Prince; he was anxious about what he would say, even if it was only a few minutes ago. His words left nothing to make Crown Prince Zhang Wei speechless regarding what he just told about his team as the general. The only topic lacking from their private meeting was the progress of Sultan Jaar's visit. It was not the exact nature of the Sultan to stay quiet during each official visit.

An impatient knock from the Crown Prince's door bothered their attention. General Julius sighed and started moving towards the door.

"Sultan Jaar's messenger just left. He said it is urgent." General Julius listened to the person who was talking outside the door. Then, a few seconds later, as the Crown Prince was about to stand up from his chair, the person added, "May I come in and ask the Crown Prince something private?"

General Julius opened the door and greeted the female worker for the Crown Prince's well-being. He was on point in checking everything in the available pockets from the worker, just in case she was hiding a weapon that could kill them. The worker even assumed that General Julius was indeed following the safety procedures.

"What news do you have for me that you dare want to ask me about something private?" Crown Prince Zhang Wei gripped his right hand on the head of his chair while standing. His intense look, which no one was allowed to look at, made the female worker raise her head. The worker was either looking for death or brave enough to meet the Crown Prince's eyes.

"Sultan Jaar is dead. He poisoned himself."

Zhang Wei's impression resembles a sword in his standing position. No, not a sword, but a mighty lion secretly hiding on the long grass, waiting for its prey to finally get trapped by a silent death and public humiliation, a fast move.

General Julius accomplished to compose himself, standing harmlessly like he did not even do anything connected to Sultan Jaar's demise. There was no time to be spared in living a heartless man like Sultan Jaar. That was one of the reasons why General Julius could cover up his real emotions in front of the Crown Prince and the worker. Both were clueless about what happened in Sultan Jaar's room. The worker suddenly raised a hand and trembled her index finger while pointing at General Julius' face. "Crown Prince, can you let General Julius help investigate? Sultan Jaar's real killer must be found. Fairness must be assisted well, Crown Prince."

"Well, General, do you want to do it?" Zhang Wei asked while looking an angle lightly at Julius.

"If you allow me and the examining team would agree on my company, then I supposed it would be alright."

Crown Prince Zhang Wei gripped his fingers hard on the head of his chair, "There, you got an answer. Is there anything else that you want to discuss privately?" Zhang Wei asked the female worker.

The worker said nothing in response, an obvious sign that she was self-conscious. She then steadily nodded, looking as if she was being considerate in the eyes of the Crown Prince and the General.

While General Julius could say something else to avert the situation aside, the female worker's look was a little bit down. Her eyes were swollen from crying, and her hands were shaking.

"You can go now. General Julius will inform you soon about what happened," Zhang Wei said, rotating his face to look at General Julius thus far again.

Unrelated to General Julius, the female worker tapped his shoulders, making him have an awkward moment in his breath at typical interludes to stay calm at the worker.

"Sultan Jaar and General Julius were good friends and seen mostly in gatherings. They sometimes leave the area together with the other aides. So, I know General Julius will do good work in finding out why Sultan Jaar died."
