Red Eye

It’s been a year since Alfred died, the pain was still fresh, their eyes are still crying. How can they get up again? Losing a father and husband is one of the most difficult events in a human’s life.

Rosa is still paying her advance salary to her boss, they are in debt after Alfred was buried. Adele wants to study but her mother can’t give what she wants. She explains their situation for Adele to understand why she can’t go to school. At the young age of Adele she already experienced the tragedy and the wrath of the world, it makes her strong mentally and emotionally.

“Stay here, okay? Rosa said.

"Don't leave, you might be harmed if you leave the house, it's too dangerous." He added. Adele nodded and played inside the house.

When Rosa left, Adele was still playing in their house. Then someone peeked out of their window but it disappeared immediately. Adele wondered who it was so she went out of the house to look at it.

She walked slowly to the door, something was bothering her not to open it. A few minutes later she was still standing and stunned looking at the door knob.

She heard a few footsteps from outside their house, Adele felt very scared at those times.

He ran into their room and hid under the bed. She heard the men talking, Adele's whole body was shaking when the door suddenly opened, four men entered their house.

Adele covered her mouth so that the men could not hear her crying. "Looks like no one is here, we can't do what our boss is asking us to do." A man said.

"Jordan, put what you have to put in the kitchen, we will wait until the mother and daughter arrive." The other guy replied. The other guy nodded and did what he needed to do.

After 30 minutes the men came out, Adele waited a few more minutes to go out to close the doors and windows so that the men could not enter again.

Adele could do nothing but cry and wait for her mother to arrive. She was unaware that the men entered their house is the ones who planted the bomb to kill them tonight

Now that Marco has seen Rosa, he will not let them live happily ever after, Marco has planned almost everything to make Rosa's life miserable. First, the hospital's refusal to treat Alfred, Marco Echo paid a large sum of money to the hospital for not accepting Alfred. Second, his plan to kill the mother and daughter. For Marco, this was one of the most victorious revenge they could achieve for the death of his brother.

Rosa has no idea that Marco's kindness is only a bait to bring him closer to her and to ruin her life easily. While Rosa was working, Marco called her to her office. "What is it boss?" Rosa asked. “Sit down first, it takes too long.”Marco replied. Marco turned to Rosa while holding a gun, Rosa was surprised because Marco looked sharply at her,

"W-what is that? Why are you holding a gun?" Rosa asked, she stood up in shock and walked backwards. "Don't be afraid, this is just a toy." Marco answered and laughed. "Are you sure? It might explode." Rosa asked again. "What are you thinking, I'm not a bad person" Marco chuckled. "Just trust me, I won't hurt you."

Rosa was restless with Marco's gun, she felt it would explode at any moment. "Here it is, take it." Marco handed over a box of food and an envelope containing money. "Go home, take some time with your daughter." Rosa was surprised by Marco's kindness, she had never seen Marco before during the times when Rosa's family and the Echo family tried to convince Rosa to marry Benedict, so Rosa was unaware of his revenge. "Many regrets boss Marco, Adele will definitely like it." She just smiled and said goodbye.

Rosa was very happy because of the food she brought, she quickly went home to give food to Adel, it was one of the dream foods Adele wants to eat but unfortunately it was too expensive and they only had a small amount of money. While Rosa was walking, she felt that many people were looking at her, she stopped to look around but she did not see anything strange so she just continued walking.

Around 4 o'clock when she got home, she wondered why all the windows and doors were closed, she knocked loudly for Adele to open the door immediately, she did it several times but no one opened the door. She thought of forcing the door open so she broke it, she looked for Adele all over the house but she did not find her, Rosa cried when she found Adele.

Rosa didn't know that Adele was just sleeping in tears inside their cabinet, she hid there so that if the men came back she would not be caught.

"Adele where are you?" Rosa kept crying while looking for her daughter, Adele woke up with swollen eyes and quickly went to her mother to hug her tight. "Mother, some men came here earlier, they were scary." Adele said. Rosa was surprised by what she heard from her daughter, she thanked Marco in her mind because she was sent home early, Rosa gave food to Adele to reduce her fear.

A few minutes later, the armed men returned to detonate the bomb they had planted in the kitchen of Adele's house, just a touch of a phone that would explode.

Rosa heated water for Adele to make coffee and suddenly she heard a strange sound in the trash when she looked at it. "10..9..8" she whispered, her eyes widened when she removed the cloth that covered half the body of that thing. "AHHHHHHH!" Rosa shouts, "Run Adele!" Adele is confused why her mother is shouting with fear . "Hurry up! Get out of here!" Adele could do nothing but follow her mother, as she walked out the door the bomb suddenly exploded in their house.

Adele realized that there was something bright around her, she held her head because it hurt, she noticed that her right eye was bleeding so she immediately closed it, when she closed it she also lost her sight on what she saw earlier. She slowly got up and looked for his mother. He was walking slowly when the fire suddenly spread out, she could do nothing but shout while crying. Adele kept calling her mother but no one answered her. Adele saw a boy outside the house so she asked him for help, "Hey! Help me, my mother is still in the kitchen." she begs.

The man was surprised because Adele saw him. "Hey!" Adele shouted, the fire in the house was spreading even more but there was no way out.

Angel Raphael immediately took Adele outside their house. He still could not believe that the child he was protecting saw him. "How did he see me?" The angel whispered.

Adele woke up under a big Narra tree, she immediately looked for her mother but she did not find anything. It looks like the only thing left to see in their house is ash. Adele cried during those times. Angel Raphael was standing next to her all the time, Adele asked him where her mother was but the angel still did not speak.

Just a few hours later, rumors were circulating throughout the town. They looked for Adele but they could not find her. Adele continues to talk to Raphael but he does not speak, he only looks at Adele as if he does not hear anything. Adele thinks Raphael is dumb so he can't speak, "You know, you look like the boy who saved me in the river. Gabriel is his name I thought? Oh forgot it." Adele said. Adele even told Raphael about her life, she doesn't know Raphael knows everything about her.

They walked to the river to drink water. Adele was surprised because she saw her right eye become color red, she thought it was because of the explosion and it might heal immediately.

Angel Raphael concludes that the child sees him because of her red eye, he still stares at Adele as he drinks water. "You'll be fine, Adele. I'm always here for you." He whispered.
