The First Day

The girl in the mirror had fiery autumn hair that fell down to her waist. Her eyes were amber colored. She looked at all of the knots in her hair and reached for the brush on the counter near the sink and began to yank the knots out. "Lily! Hurry up in there.I don't have all day you know." Albus said loudly pounding on the bathroom door. "Wait Albus. Mum says whoever gets to the bathroom first gets to finish in there without being rushed!" I said. "Lily! Come down here and eat your breakfast!" Mum called. "Lily!" Albus said pounding even louder. As I yanked all of the knots out of my hair, I brushed my teeth and put on my deep blue floral dress. "Here Albus." I said opening up the door. "Finally. Now get down stairs or Mum's going to kill you!" Albus said laughing.

"Good Morning darling. How are you feeling?" Mum said, placing down my plate at my spot on the table. "Thanks Mum. I'm feeling good. And I can't wait to see Lysander!" I smiled excitedly. "Lysander sent this to you yesterday." Mum said, handing me a note.

Dear Lily,

I can't wait to see you tomorrow. We need to catch up.

"Aww. He's so sweet." I said happily. "Yes. Well eat your breakfast or you'll starve on the train." Mum said pushing my plate closer to me. "Oh Good Morning honey." Mum said looking at Dad. "Hello Darling. Good Morning Lily. Are you ready for today?" Dad said. "Yes. I'm fine." I said. Mum pushed my plate closer to me giving me a look that meant "Eat your food!" I ate the rest of the pancakes and put my plate in the sink and washed it.

"Time to go." Albus said, grabbing his bag and his owl Hedwige. That was handed to him from Dad and gesturing his hand to make me follow him. "Ok. Bye Mum, bye Dad. See you soon." I said. "Bye James. See you at school!" I screamed up the stairs.

When we got to 9 ¾ I went through the platform first, Albus right behind me. Albus saw some of his friends from Slythrien and went over to talk to them. "Albus! Hurry Up! The train is leaving!" I screamed from across the station. He just waved his hand at me and walked onto the train with his friends. I can't believe he was like this and on the first day of his 6th year! He was so much like James. Dad and Mum always wondered why he wasn't in Slytherin.

Then I felt a cold hand touch my shoulder.

"James! Finally. What took you so long."

"Dad drove me in his flying car and wanted to walk me in on my first day. It took me 30 bloody minutes to talk him out of it!"

"You really do sound like Uncle Ron. You know that don't you?"

"Yes. Well let's get going."

As we walked down the train I said goodbye to Albus even though we were both in Gryffindor, he wanted to go sit next to his friends. I walked into an empty booth and sat down. I hear people talking about what they did over the summer and what they were planning to do at Hogwarts.

"Lily!" Roxanne screamed from outside my booth.

"Rox!" I said running over to her as the train started up.

"Woah!" I said falling backward from the jolt of the train but I felt a pair of strong arms catch me.

"You really should be more careful little red."

"I thought you agreed to stop calling me that. It makes me feel like a child."

"Hello Scorpius. Always around Lily, aren't you?" Rox said sarcastically.

" And I see you are still stalking Drake?" Scorpius said, smirking slyly.

"I have to go but I will see you soon Lily." Scorpius said taking my hand and kissing it gently.

As I saw him walk down the Roxanne began to say

"I thought you said you were only friends with Malfoy."

"I did, and I am! I am with Lysander."

"Speak of the merlin… Look who it is. Hi Lysander!"

"So you are friendly with Lysander but not Scorpius?" I whispered, laughing a little.

"Hi Roxanne. Lily, it's so great to see you! I missed you." He said kissing me on the check.

��Sorry to put my little head in but me and Lily need to catch up! We didn't have much time over the summer!" Rox said grabbing my wrist.

" I saw you for two weeks over the summer Rox! I didn't even get to see Lysander!" I said smiling.

"Well you could have seen other people over the time that I would like to know about!" She demanded.

"Well I did see Teddy-"

"Teddy! He's so funny and well very cute!"-

"Rox! He's our cousin!"

"Well still I think he is!" She said laughing.

"I hate to interrupt but, Merlin! Are we going to be late if we don't change into our robes and sit down!" Lysander said.

"Bye! See you later!" I said smiling awkwardly.

"Bye!" Rox said, waving at him.

"Ok now that he is gone let's go change because MERLIN this sweater is itchy!"

"Ok! Then let's go!" I said, grabbing her and hand running down the hallway.
