Chapter 7 - The Blue Devil's Wrath...

** Chiba Eichi's point of view **

"Hah! You see, guys. This is a piece of cake. Soon, we will win the war and eradicate a race."

"General, your right! At first, we were losing, but with our numbers, we can win."

Oh, man. In the end, I couldn't prevent this war from happening. Currently, we are at war with Elvania. At the beginning of the war, we were losing due to the elve's powers; however, we had more numbers, allowing us to overpower them.

I can't say for sure, but we number 50,000 to 1,000. We have only lost 1,000 thus far. We also have 25,000 in reserve, but the General didn't want to bring them with us. He wants to use them immediately after we 'win' this battle.

Then a group of men comes up to us. "General, the back is clear. We also have more information about the enemy..."

After listening to the group, the General replies to them. "Good! Hah, this plan is going smoothly. You guys can go rest up. We'll handle the rest."

"Understood!"

The group takes its leave as the General turns to face the battlefield. He smiles as he watches. Then, a bluish blur flies out of nowhere and crashes into the middle of the battlefield. The crash was so intense that it creates massive shockwaves, causing units near it to decimate, or so we thought.

"General, look! It's pushing the elves back but killing our units!"

"I can see that! Shit! This must be a strong spell from those cheeky elves. They shouldn't have enough mana to attack for long. Once that spell is finished, we will charge into their base!"

Is it a spell from the elves? It does look like that, but the elves look like we do. I don't think they planned this. So what is it?

As the smoke from the area clears, a lone figure stands there. The creature has a human-like appearance with blue hair. He also has one brown color and light blue color eyes; however, its blue eye has a magic circle instead of a retina. The right side of its face is covered in a glowing blue etching. I can't see magic, but I can tell that its emitting lots of magic.

"Wait, Is that..."

After staring at the creature, I finally realize who it was. It's the Blue Devil, a being who can destroy the world in an instant. Unbelievable...

"No way! Is that the Blue Devil!? He exists?"

"General, what now? If that is the devil, then we're screwed!"

"Everyone quiet! It's just an illusion! We should know by now that such a creature doesn't exist. We even created this legend. Now, get ready to charge the enemy!"

Hmm... I have a bad feeling about this. I'm just going to slip away...

I cast [Shadow Form] and ran further back until I could barely see the devil. I turn to look at the General when the Blue Devil shouts something.

"You humans! Destroying my home for your amusement? If that how you want to play, then I'll destroy your entire country for mine amusement!"

Then, a magic circle forms on the hands of the devil. He aims it at the General and flicks his fingers. Lightning shoots out of the circle, striking the General and those near him. The General screams as he turns into ash. With one spell, the devil killed 20 of our high-ranked men...

Then, the devil raises both of his hands above his head—an enormous magic circle forms above him. The circle creates a massive blue fireball about the size of a building. The devil then sends the fireball into the army. Flames engulf my entire vision. There was nothing but fire...

Flames also came in my direction but were stopped as if it hits a wall. It seems as though the devil put up a barrier, so it only kills the army. After a bit of time, the flames cleared out, leaving a burnt land and a group of men.

The group was the same group from before. The devil looks and shouts at them.

"You three! You were the ones who destroyed my house in the first place. I'll make sure your death is slow and painful!"

The group bows down and apologizing to the devil; however, the devil ignores their cries and raises his hand—a magical circle forms from the tip of his hand and an enormous circle forms above the group. Then, purple lighting falls from the circle, striking all of the people in the group. You could see their bones as they get shocked to died.

Slowly, their skin begins to melt off from the heat, and bones start cracking. The screams they're making are so loud that you could hear it out of the forest. After a bit of time, the spell stops, leaving the bodies as a cloud of dust. Then, the devil faces me...

Uh, oh... Can he see me from here? He's about to cast a spell. I need to hurry and leave before he kills me. Huh?! No... He cast barrier magic on me too. No! I'm going to die...

However, his spell never came at me. When I peeked at the devil, I saw that two elves stopped his attack. Thank you, and to the God of Creation!

...

** Endo Ken's Point of View **

We couldn't do anything but stare in amazement and fear. We watched as the devil eliminates all of the enemy's side. In total, with only using a single spell, he wiped out a total of 49,000 soldiers. His lightning spell could probably kill 100,000 or more...

After he killed what looks to be everyone, he turns into a random direction and starts to cast a spell. What's he looking at? Maybe there are some more soldiers over there, watching the battlefield. Wait! What if that is the king? This could be bad.

We need to stop him. If that is the king, then other nations will look at us as a threat. I look over at the General and notion to him. He nods back, and we run-up to the devil.

"Sir! Please, you have most of the humans' lives. I think you can stop now!"

He turns to me, anger in his eyes. "Hah! I won't be satisfied until all of the humans are extinct! I'll destroy this Empire and leave nothing but chaos! Now, Ken, do you plan to get in my way?"

"Uh... No, Sir! But please, listen to me a bit..."

I only have one chance. If I mess this up, Elvania could be next in his list of destruction.

"Why kill them when you could use them? Oh, I know! How's about you get them under your pact?"

"Under my... What use would that do? As I see it, they're a bunch of lying buffoons with no intelligence. Who would have the guts to have subordinates who would lie and can't be trusted?"

Man, this is going to be hard. I mean, he's not wrong, but still... There has to be something. Oh, I know!

"Well, this Empire has the best guilds in town. If you destroy the entire Empire, then you will never get to experience the true guild life."

"Hmm... I guess your right. I do wish to partake in a guild at some point, but... Fine, I'll stop my rampage for now; however, another move and this Empire is history."

Thank you, God of Creation! I have stopped the devil from eliminating a vast human empire. I turn to the General and nod to him. He nods back and looks in the direction where the devil was looking.

"Those who have survived this battle, listen well! The Blue Devil has given you his word that he'll stop his carnage. Surrender now, or face his wrath again!"

"Y-yes! I am the strategist of the Empire. We surrender from the war! I'll come with you to make negotiations. Plus, we will offer the devil an audience with the king at his leisure."

The General responds with an okay and turns to his army. He raises his hand and makes a fist. "We have won this battle and war!"

Everyone starts cheering on this. I face the devil as I ask him something.

"If you would like it, I could escort you home?"

"Sure, that'll be fine..."

The devil glow has lessened, and his eye returned into a retina. I yell at the General.

"Hey, General! I'm going to escort the devil home. See you tomorrow at the council."

He nods at my words and waves. I walk with the devil as I lead him to his cave, or what remains of it. Oh, no! If he sees his cave, will he go on another rampage... I need to stop him before...

This chapter has been revised. This one changed a bit but should have most of the same stuff. Hope you enjoy the change!
