Akward Declarations
Amara stared at her phone, her heart still pounding from the near-confession she was about to make. She took a deep breath before answering the unknown number.
"Hello?" she said, trying to sound as normal as possible, which wasn't easy when her brain was still spiraling from Elara's proximity.
"Good evening, Amara Lyselle," a professional voice said on the other end. "We're pleased to inform you that you've been cast as the lead role in the upcoming film. You'll be playing the hero. Congratulations."
Amara blinked, momentarily stunned. "Wait… what?"
"Yes, you've been chosen for the role. We'll be sending over the script for your review, and we expect you to join the cast in two days for a script read-through."
Amara's mouth opened and closed like a fish out of water. "I… I got the part?"
"Yes, congratulations again. We'll be in touch with further details. Have a good night."
