Chapter 11

“God, I would kill for some blackberries now.” The pregnant girl said, rubbing her bloated belly.

I rolled my eyes behind their closed lids and kept on faking sleep.

The girl didn’t stop talking, even though no one has replied to her.

Alice kept signing as if the girl would magically understand her somehow.

And I kept faking sleep, so whatever floats their boats, but keep me out of it, please.

“My brother used to pick some for me when he was hunting or on a night watch. I miss him too.”

She said and sniffed. I groaned and sat straight on the small bed.

“If I got you some, would you just stop all of this?” I said not so politely and Alice growled at me.

“Yeah fuck you too, Alice. Do you have any other wishes, princess?”

The girl smiled through her tears, and her snot shone in the faint light.

I huffed and stood, then put on my clothes to go out and away from here.

I might spend the night on top of a tree or something anywhere but here.
