What's A Dungeon Master?

Spirit: As a Dungeon Master, you have 3 responsibilities:

1. Protect The Core

2. Protect The Dungeon

3. Protect Yourself

In that order. As long as you do these three things, you can do whatever you want. I won't stop you and I'll support any of your dreams. In fact, you'll be revived as long as you die in the dungeon. It's only outside the dungeon that when you die, you stay dead. Of course, the recovery of your body costs a lot of MP so it's best you avoid doing so until level 20.

Achuta listened carefully as the spirit explained everything a dungeon master should know.

Spirit: The dungeon, well it really doesn't need protection in and of itself as it can recover simply by using the mana in the air. However if the enemy knows the direction of the core, as long as the enemy breaks through the walls, they can destroy it so it's best to make sure they can't do so in the first place. As for the core, it's what keeps everything together. It is essentially the brain and without it, we are all dead.

Spirit: To defend ourselves, the akashik record allows us to trade mana for anything it has complete details on. Of course that include traps, weapons and even monsters. The more complex the mind of the creature the greater the cost and prices can rise exponentially so don't expect to be able to buy an assistant anytime soon.

Spirit: If you want to leave the dungeon, than remember that only at level 30 can you revive anywhere in the world. Any other questions?

Achuta: How are the prices for each floor?

Spirit: Each floor is a separate dimension which is linked to the core as the anchor. To ensure the connection, it costs more energy to create a secure channel. As such, the price increases each time. In terms of MP, the price of each floor increases by multiples of 10. The first floor costs 100,000 MP. The expansion of each floor will always cost 100,000 for each expansion as well.

Achuta: What is the minimum defensive requirement for this world.

Spirit: To be honest, I don't know. We're on a completely new world all together. Otherwise, I wouldn't have used the summoning ticket mother left for me so soon. It cost all the mana I collected until now just to activate it. If it weren't for the bonus mana from the summoning circle, I wouldn't have had any mana to use after summoning you. This is why I'm in a rush.

Achuta: So we either have to scout or set up defenses and hope for the best?

Spirit: I thing it's best to defend first.

Achuta: The most important thing is to determine whether there is any sentient life near by. Depending on the answer, we may be able to go without defenses for now.

Spirit: That would be true if we don't consider the attraction my mana has to animals. My mana acts as a natural tonic to living beings allowing for accelerated evolution of cognitive capabilities and the physical body in order to attract more 'food'.

Achuta: So basically we are like flames to a moth as long as we're strong enough.

Spirit: And if we're too weak, we are more like golden nuggets on the ground. Fortunately, you can use the mana from the core to improve your physical capabilities. However without learning how to fight, you wont be able to use your power to the best of your abilities.
