"He is in the library."
"I need to drink some water."
"Chloe," Gabriel reached for her before she could escape to the kitchen. "Don't make excuses."
"But my throat is dry. See," she made smacking noises and turned her head a bit his way. "Very dry. I need tons of water."
"Why are you acting like you are about to bomb a place?"
"Bombers drink water before bombing a place?" her brows knitted as she asked.
"Chloe," Gabriel groaned.
"I have never done this before Gabriel, I can't help but feel nervous." During the ride back home, Chloe reasoned everything out. With the way the Agency was acting, she might be under contract with them till she drops dead.
So, since she always wanted to cross being in a relationship off her bucket list, she decided to take Gabriel's advice and take the risk of being with Nathaniel.
Her presence in the house was a risk anyway. The extra risk wouldn't hurt.
And whatever the nearest future would bring, it will be known then.
