Vows and arrival

Falling from the sky, tears of the forgotten rained on the ground. Watching the rain cascade off the green leaves Liam was enthralled.

==============

Vow's were the foundation of life in the nation of Rasgha. Vow's were the wishes and promises of the people. Gods reigned over the powers of Vow's. Any person can Vow to themselves an objective or desire.

However what mattered was if your desire was meaningful enough. To devote yourself is to leave yourself to be imprinted. A God needs to relinquish divine power to a Vow. Bestowing such power comes with a curse. For the divine is not meant for mortals. By bestowing powers they also bestow their intent. A Vow is often the most extreme version of the intent of the votary. If one Vows to rule, they will rule absolutely. If one Vow's to love they will love all and anything. If one Vow's for revenge their revenge will be exacted without discrimination.

Liam's Vow for revenge was bestowed with divine power. Given power for blood, and strengthened by Violence. A Vow created in death, Will end in death. For one's rise will be one's fall.

When repentance won't save you, what will? Acceptance? Or will you die valiantly against the inevitable?

Liam stares at the outpost in front of him. Pleasantly surprised to see it standing. Even if hope seems to be lost, there will alway be a sliver still remaining. As fat wet drops hit against his shirt and the cold moist air licked at his hands, he stepped forward.

Liam observed the two archers pacing on the outside wall of the fortress.

"Surely the nation of Rasgha's finest" Liam sarcastically quipped.

With Liam's blade on his side and bag on his back, he called out to the guards, to gain their attention.
