The fight against loyalty
Peter's lungs burned as he sprinted through the dense forest, his mind racing as fast as his feet.
The sound of destruction followed close behind, a constant reminder of the relentless pursuit.
"Aether!" Peter gasped, feeling the familiar rush of elemental magic courses through his àveins.
He spun around, hands outstretched, and a gust of wind erupted from his palms.
Trees bent and leaves swirled in a chaotic dance, but Kim merely raised a hand, dissipating the windstorm as if it were nothing more than a gentle breeze.
Peter's eyes widened in disbelief. He turned and continued running, his breath coming in ragged gasps.
"Ignis!" he shouted, his voice cracking with desperation. A wall of flames sprung up behind him, momentarily obscuring Kim from view.
For a fleeting second, Peter allowed himself to hope.
But then he heard it - the sizzle of water extinguishing fire.
Kim emerged from the steam, unscathed and undeterred.
