Chapter 3

Luke's POV

I woke up in the morning, got up and went to the bathroom to take a shower. I went to the living room after I put on a black shirt and black pants and rang the bell on the table soon after someone arrived.

Knock* knock* (someone knock on the door)

"Come in", after I said someone came in with a maid outfit white short hair, thin body, and those black cold eyes, her height is 165cm and based on this she's still young maybe around 17 years old.

"Sir I'm Nicole, I was assigned to assist you today, please have your breakfast first". She in monotone.

Even though I didn't say anything, the maid immediately acted and served the food, fried rice, eggs, salad, bread and chicken soup on the table, she also brewed tea for me. I was speachless this maid is very capable.

"Thank you". I started eating while I was observing myself unlike yesterday I think I was able to adjust, while I'm observing myself and eating, the maid went to the right side and just stood there.

"I'm done". When I said that, she immediately cleaned the table.

"Sir, if you need anything just press the button", the maid said, I just nod my head then she walk out.

I stand up and look at the window then while I'm staring outside someone knocked at the door.

"come in".

"Good morning have you eaten breakfast yet?", Eve said while having an emotionless face, it's really a good morning if someone like Eve would greet you but that emotionless face is really something.

"Good morning Miss Eve, I just finished breakfast". I replied

"That's good, if you're okay we can go to the Director's office, if you're interested to learn about where you are right now, what are we, or who are you-".

"Sure, let's go I'm okay now". I cut whatever she's talking about the moment I heard about myself, I really don't care where I am right now or what are they.

"Okay, follow me". I follow her out of my room, and the size of this building, on this floor you can see the wide hallway, white walls with branch and sakura flowers design, I can't see anyone around aside me and Eve. We went to the elevator he pressed the 300th floor botton. It takes a while before the elevator stop then we walk directly to Director's office, we were just quiet the whole time until we came. Knock* knock* (Eve knock the door)

"Come in", said the other side, then the door open there's a maid I saw this morning she's Nicole, the Director gesture to us to sit down, Nicole give us tea after that she walk and stand at Director's left side.

"Alright, let me introduce myself first, my name is Maya Rusvel Director of New World's Order", she began. But New World's Order? Is that a company ?.

"And you already knew Eve, right? She's one of my people, and later you can ask her whatever you want to know about yourself. But first let me give you an introduction about what happened within 5 years. 5 years ago after the meteor shower almost all the countries was ruined, also alot of people died, then following years spatial rifts appear one after another in the world where the monsters and demons come from, which caused the decrease of the population of people, there were riots going on everywhere then but it didn't take so long for us to adapt then later humanities discover that we have extra ordinary abilities that can help us to survive and 3 years after * that * different Organizations established, with different different interest came, of course we are one of those the New World's Order we help the people who are powerless just like you, train them and ask them if they will stay or not. So now question you stay or not? ", She said while I listen carefully. How can I decide if I don't even know myself so I decided.

"Thank you Director for explaining to me the changes happened, right now I want to know about myself first before I decide, is that okay Director?". I said, she look at me for a while before she speak.

"Okay then, you can go now, just notify Nicole if you have decided later", She said briefly.

"Director I have a question, if I decided to stay what should I need to do?", I ask after considering what she said earlier.

"The Order is gonna train you with others from the most basic until you became one of us. This is gonna be your starting point and whatever you are in the past you have to move on, so think about it carefully. For now we will provide you what you need first you will receive it later when you went back to your room.

Eve the rest is up to you, you two may go now ". Director said.

"Okay, let me tell you about what I knew about you first", Eve started to break the silence while we're walking.

"I'm listening", I said

"Alright, your name is Luke Grant, birthday April 1,2068, how do I know? You might ask here", then she gave me an ID before I could speak, it's my ID to be precise I look at it, then she continued.

"5 years ago we met on our way to Maynila Hospital, you said your going to your sister who worked there because you were worried about the meteor shower that happend that day, and it just so happen that it's the same to me, so went together, you keep talking about her and when we getthere it's already late, no one expected that Manila would be the first to be hit by the meteors, no one survive including my father who also worked as a Doctor of Maynila Hospital. We went to the ruined Hospital to look for them but no result until another another meteors falls near us that cause an accident to us, I woke up after 6 months of coma I thought you're goint to wake up soon too so when someone ask me to join their group I said yes because a lot of changes happenI'm alone the moment my father pass away, and decided to bring you with me since we became friends back then all they know is that your my brother I just didn't expect you would take 5 years to wake up and have had an amnesia. That's all I know, about your family I tried to look for them but they were already dead because of monsters attack. "I didn't expect we were friends back then, but after I learned about what happend to me and my family, I already have an answer to Director.

"Thank you Eve, or should I call you Sister ~?", I said while teasing her.

"So have the guts now huh?", She said while glaring at me.

"Just call me Sis, in your new identity we are family, like I said everyone knows your my brother", she added.

"Yes, thank you very much for all these years, I'll make-up for it." I said while thinking about what to say about my family.

"Don't you have any questions? And aren't you trusting my words so easily?". She asked

"Maybe because I can feel that your a good person that I blindly trusted every words you said earlier, and you take care of me and protected me all these years, no one will thought of bringing me with them or take care of me when I 'm like a deadman instead people would think I'm abaggage and a waste of time. To be your brother is really my honor. Thank you! ". I sincerely said it to her, this gratitude I won't let down.

"So Sis rest assured, I won't let you down! Trust me." I added then I went back to my room.

I found my new ID on the table when I came in, together with some paper that explain my background there's also a note that I will be living together with Eve as her brother. Well I don't mind after all no one knows me aside from her, but what's up with this new ID? 5 years already passed but my age still 17? Are they kidding me ?.

1 month already passed since I moved to Sister Eve's house, we live in two-story house. She explained to me why I have to start my new life as a 17 years old boy, and it was because even though 5 years already passed my mind still like those kid of 17 years old so instead of saying 22 years old without knowledge yet looks young they just decided of 17 years old so I won't have anytrouble explaining at the same time can go to school again.

Despite what happened I still couldn't really get away with studying. There are also young awakeners in the School that I will attend. It is a good start so that I can understand things as they are in the present and at the same time I will be trained in the NWO (New World's Order) if I want to become part of them.

I only have a month before I start going to School again. I have decided to review in advance the studies at School maybe because my brain is 22 years old man's brain I can easily learn it, so in the following days I wake up early to exercise for 1 hour then cook for breakfast because I found out that Sister Eve is badand cooking at the same time she needs to go to work at 6 in the morning and as a good sister I am the one who prepares.

"Luke did you just improve your cooking again?". Sister Ever asked while eating.

"Improved? Then that's good, I'm watching cooking show lately on the internet and trying to learn more". Because if we don't eat pure take away whick not appetizing I just say to myself.

"That's good, can you add my bag of sweet n 'sour pork and rice okay?". Sabi nia.

"Heh, you will definitely get fat at this rate Sis and besides I just added alot of food to your lunch box the other day". I retorted

"Come on, I'm an adult and I won't get fat, I'm a beauty for them no matter what I do". Yes that's right this is the real her, you can only really get to know someone when you've been together on a roof.

"Shameless". I said straight to her face then she approached me hit my head.

"Alright, I'm going now. You better lock the door and call me if something happen okay?", She said while putting her sandals.

"Okay, take care sis", I sent her out and went back inside the house when I can't see her car anymore.

I washed the dishes, cleaned the house, and watered the plants. I went back to my room and started studying again after 3 hours I stood up and watched in the living room about plants and monsters. I also try to search on the internet how to talk to strangers because I'm not good at talking, I found out that no matter how many I can think of that I want to say in the end I can only say a few. I hope I can communicate well with others at School, it makes me nervous.

My days have been like this until there's only a day bafore School. And Sister Eve prepared everything I be needing at School especially School uniform. Everything is ready for tomorrow and because I was too nervous my face shows colder than ever.

"Hey! Luke do you know that when you are tense or nervous you look scary? I mean when your normal you look unapproachable, but now you look like a predator". She said straight to my face, what can I do like that maybe I really can.

"Who is predator? Your my sister atleast comfort me, I'm nervous here you know. I can just study here why need to go to School anyway". I said

" * chuckle * stop whinning, how will you learn to interact if you're not going to School. You need to learn how to communicate and approach every people you will encounter at School even teachers, not everyone at School are friends. And knowledge is power remember that. I know you will do good, you go to your room now and rest early. Good night ". She comforted me in the end in round-about way.

"Alright, thank you sis. Good night". After we talked I went back to my room just hoping I wouldn't be misled on my first day at school tomorrow.
