Job hunting

Quickly enough, the emotions Chunhee felt seconds ago became manageable and controllable. He took in a deep breath as he got up from his bed and tried to shake away all the unnecessary emotions that he got from that nightmare.

"Do you promise that, big brother?" The five-year-old girl looked up and asked, her lips still forming a big pout as if she was on the verge of crying herself but trying her best not to in front of her brother.

Chunhee, now standing up straight and with a lighter mood, smiled at his little sister. From what he remembered, Hanna wasn't on the wedding ceremony because it happened while she was away. Suddenly knowing her big brother was gone – it must've been painful for her too, wasn't it? For the people who had received that news, in that world and time…

Before his thoughts could go farther, Chunhee opened his mouth. "Do you want to go to the zoo with me?"

Actually, going to the zoo wasn't entirely a bad idea. Chunhee was bound to find a job sooner or later after all and he had planned to start today. Sneakily moving out of the house and trying not to let his parents know about it was one thing he had already planned ahead before he went to sleep. Their arrival had come but it didn't stop Chunhee with his plans. Before the engagement day, he needed to find a proper source of income. And if today's job hunting didn't go well, he would try going to that zoo later on. Thinking about it, Chunhee felt relaxed.

"I-Is big brother serious…?" Hanna asked while looking at Chunhee with a shocked expression.

Chunhee blinked and stared back. "Why? Do you want to go somewhere else?" Did he say something wrong? Did Hanna hate going to the zoo?

Hanna looked stunned, then briefly recovered as she shook her head. "No, anywhere with big brother is a nice place." Smiling widely as she looked at her big brother with eyes full of stars, she excitedly said, "Let's go to the zoo, big brother…!" Then she didn't wait for Chunhee's response any longer as she turned around and began to shout while half-walking and half-running on the hallway, "Mom! Dad! Big brother and I are going to the zoo today! I will choose my dress, okay?"

"N-No, wait, Hanna—I meant… tomorrow…." Chunhee tried to call but to no avail. He released a sigh as he mumbled to himself, "I was supposed to look for a job today…"

Shaking his head, he headed to his closet, trying to pick up a proper attire that could be used both a job interview and a zoo date with his sister without being too suspicious. Then Chunhee stood in front of the mirror, eyes particularly falling to the sight of his arms and legs as commented, "This body looks skinner in this life. Chunhee-ah, aren't you too skinny for your age? Will somebody even hire me at this point?"

Full of doubts and worries, Chunhee stared at himself for a good minute and sighed. He had decided now – he might as well hit the gym before applying to those part time job offers that required physical strength.

Grabbing a towel, he then walked to the bathroom but before he entered, a knock on the door was heard.

Chunhee immediately halted on his steps. Curious, he asked, "What is it?"

"Young Master, Madam and Master requested for your presence in the living room," the maid informed, then rightfully added, "It seems the young master has a visitor."
