Supreme Elder Mei

"That is one of the few things… I myself can not accept." Lei Jin sighed lightly.

"I see, then… forget I…" The woman started saying after a little while.

"However, I will allow you to bring this disciple of yours here. My wives are the ones who will be making the decision on all matters regarding concubines. That being said, it isn't so easy as saying yes or no. There are several requirements that the Disciple MUST be able to meet. I trust that the Senior understands." Lei Jin finished speaking his piece, cutting the woman off for the simple sake of avoiding any awkward claims of not being able to meet the rewards he said he would grant.

"I see, I understand. Young Pillar already has 9 stunning wives with young ones of his own on the way. It's natural that he is particular about who is brought into the family." The woman responded with a hopeful smile. "It will be my disciples good fortune if she can become a concubine to this young man. He is so full of vigor and life. His head is big and body powerful. Not only that but he was able to impregnate all 9 of his Wives. He might be able to give my disciple a child as well." The woman thought as she continued to admire Lei Jin as he began to put away the incomplete Artifact Worlds and carry on light conversation with others.

"You really are bold daring to take more women after finalizing your marriages. Though I can't really blame you. Being in the position you are in, it would be weird if you didn't." Elder Mei said, eyeing Lei Jin with a half spiteful and half worried look.

"Ahahaha, I had a long discussion about this matter with Ling Shi and my other Wives. We came to finally realize that this was the only way to continue advancing our plan. Though I am still mildly against it. I can't deny that it does feel good that my wives want to spend as much time with me as possible, that they are even willing to invite little Sisters into the family to make this more feasible. I'm flattered, and the thought that it brings a smile to many more faces makes it worth it." Lei Jin explained, half trying to convince himself.

"I see, so you are still trying to convince yourself then. Maybe you should just listen to what you feel is best and accept it wholeheartedly." Elder Mei said, then taking a bite of the snacks that had been prepared. And making a truly happy face. Until a look of realization came across her face.

Elder Mei was about to break through to the 8th rank Open Heaven realm. It honestly wasn't a surprise since she had been living within the Rainbow Residence for some time now and performing the Dual Cultivation methods with Elder Kong. So it was truly only a matter of time.

The other refiners around were all 7th ranks as well. So it would prove to be incredibly beneficial to them to watch this matter unfold. Lei Jin even sent out a notice to all 6th and 7th Rank Open Heavens to come and gain insight. He wasn't going to lend his assistance lest it was needed. He was, after all, doing his best to retain his strength and build it up just incase of an emergency. That said, he wouldn't let his Mother-in-Law fail this tribulation.

It didn't take much time after that for the whole of the area to be flooded with Open Heaven Realms all of which were eagerly watching as Elder Mei underwent the tribulation.

"I don't think I will need any help from Jin'er. This promotion seems easier than the time I broke through to the 7th rank." Elder Mei thought to herself.

A short while later where Elder Mei had been. There was now longer a 7th Rank Elder. But there was an 8th rank Supreme Elder.

"Congratulations to Azure Void's newest Supreme Elder on her successful promotion." The crowd honored her achievement.

Several people left quickly after realizing they thought they might have some clue to their next promotion. The Now Supreme Elder Mei landed back down and looked at Lei Jin with an inquisitive look. Though she didn't ask anything. Lei Jin had a natural guess as to what it was that she was thinking about. So he simply nodded and smiled as if to say; "We can figure that out another time.".

~~In Lei Jin's Main Hall~~

All 9 wives had been gathered along with the several Concubines who were studying the method that they were handed before. Some asking questions and others answering questions. It was like they were all fixated on making it work. And the easier they made it on the other sisters there, the easier it would be on them as well. In short they were already acting like a well functioning family.

Lei Jin appeared in the room after the situation with now Supreme Elder Mei had been resolved. He was here not to check in on the progress his concubines were making, since he already knew about it in great detail as Qing Ning had been actively explaining the situation here. He was here for another reason.

"It has come time for the ones born and raised here that have come of age to be matched. I have already taken the liberty of summoning them here. After this is completed I have to complete the several requests that seemingly many have brought forward. In regards to the performance of the Pillar method, that is." Lei Jin sighed, annoyed at the lack of time and numerous problems constantly around.

"Husband should try to break through soon. Surely he can handle refining the resources quickly." Xin Xia said, sitting down on Lei Jin's lap facing him.

"I can, however, the connection we have might cause you to feel some discomfort. And I will refrain from any of that unless it is an emergency. You are my treasures. And are even in the process of growing more treasured members of my family." Lei Jin smiled and kissed Xin Xia gently. A feeling that all of the other wives felt and were reminded of what he said just now. Agreeing that it would be for the best to avoid such a drastic change while they were carrying their children.
