~~A Little While Latter~~

Lei Jin was sitting across a table from his parents. Qing Ning and the other official wives sat on the same side as Lei Jin. Seating 5 of them on either side of Lei Jin. Such an arrangement was more than enough to show exactly who they were to Lei Jin, no words needed to be said to explain that matter. Furthermore, the order in which they sat was indicative of the order in which they had been married.

"Son, it seems you have found yourself quite the number of women to be by your side." Lei Jin's father said with a chuckle.

"Don't be so overly accepting of a situation like that, Lei Wei! Our son has married 10 women and also taken hundreds of concubines." Liang Yu said, pulling on Lei Jin's father's ear.

"Ah, ah, ah, alright alright. Though we can hardly blame him. We did teach him the importance of having a family. But we never quite got to explain much of the details behind that. Though..." Lei Wei said, pausing to look at all of the women who were looking on without any concerned looks. "It seems that Jin'er has reached the point where managing to have such a large family is not impossible. And the women he has laid with don't seem to be suffering any issues." He added, rubbing his ear.

"I know, I must admit it is rather perplexing, but it seems that the 3000 Worlds has blessed us with enough of the information of the happenings around here that I think I have an idea how it is possible. Jin'er, is it due to that cultivation method?" Liang Yu asked, with a look showing she was keenly aware of some of the past events.

"Indeed, that is a part of it. However, the other is that all of my women are the mothers of all of my children. Each of my wives and concubines see all of my children as if they were their own. And to that end, my children see them all as their mothers. It makes things much easier to manage. That said, mother, I am curious, how have the two of you come back?" Lei Jin explained and then changed the topic.

"Well, to be frank, it is in large part due to you, Jin'er. Without the total destruction of Ink, there wouldn't be a spot for a Supreme Being. That is the main reason we could even have a chance to come back. The second reason is because all of the others who had fallen in the past, went to serve the king of hell, assisting in the duties that would undoubtedly be needed there. In doing so they gave us the chance to train under one of the 9 seats of the 9 heavens in the afterlife. It was there that we trained until we were deemed worthy." Liang Yu started explaining and then glanced at Lei Wei to continue the explanation.

"A Supreme Being can be selected from among the denizens of the World or from elsewhere. The only requirement is whether they are worthy or not. This means it should have gone to you, my son, for destroying Ink. However, you are already an Innately Supreme Being. Naturally the merit would go to the ones you have a close tie with first. But those also must be worthy. You're women, while worthy, wouldn't fit the bill since they will acquire their Supreme Being status on their own." Lei Wei continued the explanation.

"As for our unseen grandchildren, they are not nearly strong enough to get that recognition and they will also follow a similar path of cultivation to that of their father. Which only left 2 possibilities. Personally I feel like the 3000 Worlds was simply trying to find a way to reward you. Even if it meant drawing a Supreme Being from beyond the grave. And thus here we are, ready to be a family again." Liang Yu finished explaining.

"So it really was how I thought it might turn out. When I killed Ink, I felt a vague sense that a Supreme Being didn't necessarily need to be chosen from among the living. Such a thing would breed animosity and enmity back, which would result in only a repeat of the process. I doubt the 300 Worlds would do such a thing. I wouldn't allow it to go that way. It wouldn't be who it was that was chosen. If it wasn't someone with extensive popularity at the very least, I would have hijacked the selection in some way. Even if I had to actually use some of my strength in the process." Lei Jin sighed.

"Well it's a good thing you didn't have to do that. But Jin'er, as your mother I am surprised you have so many women. It seems I'm going to be spending some time getting to know them. Seriously I just came back from the dead and there is already so much work for me to do. And then there are all of my grandbabies that I have to cuddle and smother with hugs and kisses. What were you thinking exactly?" Liang Yu said with a half pout.

Lei Jin sighed, and dived deep into an explanation of his overall plan. His parents, as newly minted Supreme Beings, would be instrumental in helping the plan to go off without a hitch. However, like with everything, even his parents, rather his mother specifically had a demand.

"That's going to be quite a lot of work. So I won't be willing to help you unless... You bathe with your mother one last time. Like we used to do whenever we returned from battle. Haven't we just returned? Or has my darling boy grown too much for such things while his mother was gone?" Liang Yu exclaimed in dramatic fashion.

"Oh? Husband, you should do that. I'm sure your mother would love it." Qing Ning smiled.

"Mother, I won't do it. Not without my wives with me. Those baths were to grow a skinship between mother and child. My wives have married into my family. Therefore they are equally your daughters now as well." Lei Jin said, knowing that this would have one of two outcomes, both were better than neither.
