Humanities Heart (9) : 8th Ranks Receive Migrants

There was a pause as Lei Jin looked around at the peak 8th ranks. Becoming more and more pleased with each breath that passed. He was testing each and every one of their resolve.  "Good!" He said, with a pleasant and respectable tone. "Then let us begin. I believe the number was going to be 60 thousand." He said, then turned to Xiao Ling. "Xiao Ling, is it good?" He inquired simply for the others to hear the answer. 

Xiao Ling with bright eyes and a big smile, looked up at her father, and ran over hugging him. "Xiao Ling has many people who are ready. It is good." She said, quite happily.

"Good, alright, you heard the adorable little girl. Everyone get yourselves prepared to receive the migrants." Lei Jin so ordered. 

In an almost seamless action there were 7 groups forming a circle around Xiao Ling. To which Xiao Ling opened up 7 doors, 1 for each group. And the Migrants started pouring out. The living conditions in Xiao Ling's worlds were fantastic but even still it could begin to feel crowded. Especially with how fast the people began procreating and having about 250 years of population growth in a year. So people like the idea of Migrating to a new world. There are many times where the people will go from one world to another just for the sake of it. And thus the idea of Migrating and spreading one's seed is firmly rooted in their core. Though not without the proper restraints like basic decency. 

"While they are focused on that we should bring out the Emperor Realms that wish to achieve the next great realm. But… resources are a bit…" Han Qiu said, hinting that the resources were relatively scarce. 

"Hmm… It seems like we are consuming resources faster than I had originally thought. Interesting. So this is the situation. After slightly more than a year the Army has already made what I provided be rationed. I can make a temporary fix for this right now but as far as a complete fix I'm afraid it will have to wait for a few days or so. And the temporary fix won't do anything but discourage them. Given what it means. So please be patient and continue as is for now. Save the 9th rank resources if at all possible. Since they can also generate the next lowest and so on. I had to use way more than I had thought before. But it won't take long to recover." Lei Jin said. 

"Understood, but, what if someone is able to promote to a middle rank directly?" Liang Changming asked, basically stating that he had one. 

"Bring them out and I will give them a set of rank 6 to use in their breakthrough. And 2 rank 5 sets to help stabilize themselves. But I must verify that they are indeed capable. And that you aren't just asking for a small fix." Lei Jin replied. 

"Good! Between the three of us there are 7 Emperors who can. And 2 others that, given a little luck, would also pull it off." Liang Changming said. As he, Han Qiu and Azure Heart showed the images of the emperors they were talking about. 

"Hmm… not bad I'll give you the resources but I want you to wait another couple of days. That 7 will soon become 9." Lei Jin said, tossing the resources over slightly annoyed that they were right. "Now then let me go and see how my two disciples are doing." He said, stepping to appear in front of the twins. 

"Papa! We did everything you asked us to do! Look, we can control more of our power now!" Sister Lan, aka Moon's Nether Glimmer, said quite pleased with herself. 

"Oh yeah! Well I can control more of my power better than you." Brother Huang, aka, Sun's Burning Shine, said, starting a needless argument. 

"Hmph! Papa will tell which one of us has improved more." Sister Lan said, crossing her arms, and pouting. Which is already a huge improvement from before. 

"Fine! Then let Father decide which of us is better. I know my father will be fair. After all, we can control our strength more now. So he must know what he's doing." Brother Huang said, also crossing his arms but with a smirk. 

"You two shouldn't be giving your master such troubles. So listen to your mother. I love you both equally. And you have improved quite a bit. But, I want to talk to you about something, so you'll have to come with us for a moment." Rou Xi said coddling the twins. 

"It doesn't seem fair to keep their valid question unanswered. So as your master I shall answer it. You have both improved a lot. In fact it is equal and opposite. Each of you represent different opposing forces. But what I can see from this is that you require something more stable and serious. So that will come next. But only after your mother has a chance to speak to you." Lei Jin said, with a look that conveyed his answer had hidden meaning in the underlying words. 

~~Several Hours Later~~

Xiao Ling finished giving away the 60 thousand Migrants to each and every Supreme Elder. "Papa! Did I do well! I did good right!" She said running over immediately after finishing. 

Lei Jin pat Xiao Ling on the head and then picked her up. "You did a great job. Now that this task is done I have some important things to work out." Lei Jin said.

"Oh! Mommy Gu Pan! You broke through to the 7th rank! Oh I get it mommies all need some migrants too. Oh! Are we going back to see other mommies too! I'm going to get hugs and kisses from all my mommies!" Xiao Ling said, as her eyes beamed with excitement. 

"Indeed, now let's return and get you all of those hugs and kisses. Here's your first from me." Lei Jin said, kissing Xiao Ling's forehead fatherly. Then in a single step again, Lei Jin and company vanished. 

"Did… did he just do his teleport thing on Sun's Burning Shine and Moon's Nether Glimmer?" Han Qiu asked, making sure she wasn't the only one who saw that. 

"Yeah… I saw it too. And he didn't even break a sweat." Azure Heart commented. 

"Even Sister Azure Heart is surprised…" Liang Changming said, pausing as he tried finding the right words.
