"I was training last night in the forest." She looked to the old looking man in front of him. She plans to act sincerely but she just ignore the idea for fear of being found out. "But you've been weak for 2 years now, How did--"

"I drank some medicine I concocted. It makes me look pale and sick" Meitian said honestly as she played with her fingers. She wanted to tell him a lie but he might be suspicious. It's because of her lies that she had to act sick in front of all the imperial doctors. She had been laying in the bed almost all day so she could have energy to wander at night.

" So all this time you've been lying to all of us?" Baizhou's face is displeased of what he heard. 'This girl could have told me, and yet she kept this a secret!' "Your father was worried about you being sick, why did you lie?"

Meitian immediately rejected the idea of her father being worried. "I don't want anyone to know. I'll tell you when it's the right time, just keep it a secret to everyone."

"And the emperor?" Baizhou asked. "Yes, including the emperor."

"So you're training secretly" Baizhou smiled sinisterly. When Meitian looked at the geezer's smiling face she felt worried about her future. "I'll give you a proposition, how about you train in my place? It's safer and you wouldn't have to worry about the rain."

"Im fine training in the forest"

"No! I don't want this to happen ever again. Did you forget that you almost died this morning? " He exclaimed.

"And what do you want me to do in return?"

He smiled before answering. "You'll have to learn medicine again. You will be my disciple!"

Actually, Meitian doesn't like medicine. She was only force by her mother when she was only 6 years old. She had been learning the basics ever since she learn how to read. It was too boring for a kid to learn at such a young age. You can consider that she had a phobia of books about medicine.

"No. It's not gonna happen." She rejected him but changed her mind when Baizhou threatened her.

"I'll tell the emperor" Baizhou proudly said with a mischievous smile.

"Fine. But you will not tell the emperor or anyone about this!"

"Deal"

Tian Baizhou had never accepted any disciple except Meitian. She was a genius, at such very young age she could learn a lot in a short amount of time. But the true reason why he wanted to teach her is because he promised the empress himself.

Before the empress died, she'd taught him more complex idea in medicine and it was the empress help too that he became what he is right now.

Meanwhile, in the eastern part of the palace. The emperor heard about the princess being found unconscious beside the lake. He immediately ordered for her presence to check on her.

On the other side of the palace, a certain little girl's ear twitched after hearing this. 'I had to be careful next time' she thought.
