Lyon vs The Ruler of the East: Fii's Battle Prowess! (2/3)

Lyon POV:

A chain of bursts ran along my Ki Channels, reaching the exit point in a blink of an eye. The Bursting Phase activated, and the final burst of Ki shot out of my body. It spread into seismic waves; a thick yellow line encircling each one. The air snapped apart as they rippled across the entire area.

I stood alone in its epicenter, watching the hooded members of the Organization fall hundreds at a time, unable to resist the sheer force of the waves crashing against them. My gaze rested on Angus, who had stretched out his hands forming a barrier of Ki that was strengthened by the Royal Guards.

"!"

His face contorted at the slight crack that appeared in front of him. The number of bursts I had used in the Ignition Phase was 4, and the number of motionless bodies sprawled out around me was 1,000.

"Let's see how long you can keep that arrogant expression on your face."

Angus lowered his hands while smirking. He took a step down the stairs when my lips spread into a thin smile. His eyebrows furrowed at the sudden change in my expression, and he immediately flicked his hand forward.

"Everyone, go all out and bring him to the brink of death. I will make him beg for his life."

"Yes, my King!!!"

The Organization members roared as they released all of their Ki. The wind changed direction, and the sea of black rushed toward me. I observed the corners of their mouths rise; their pupils dilating with desperation to acquire the results Angus demanded.

His lips curved into a smirk, pleased by the fear he had instilled in them. The sky rumbled while rain continued to pour down without rest as I stood still, not moving an inch from my current position despite their charge toward me.

The Organization: now seconds away from entering my range, failed to notice the change; the air split apart. Powerful flames descended from the sky, scorching the earth with the intensity of their heat. A loud boom shook the entirety of District 1E and forced everyone back.

Thick dust clouds covered the area, but they dispersed just as quickly as they formed. Their arrival had generated gusts of wind that encouraged the rain to fall even harder.

"..."

Angus gazed at the sky before peering down at the new enemy, who had seemingly arrived out of thin air. I glanced at her purple bang swaying over her forehead as she slowly got to her feet.

Lissandra glared at Angus while the battlefield entered a temporary standstill. His eyes swept over her body, narrowing as he assessed how much of a threat she was to him.

Two seconds.

That was all he needed before his lips parted in a flash.

"Kill her."

The swarm of members flickered forward, and Lissandra's back hit against mine. Our Ki erupted while our lips moved in unison.

"Omniscient Jeondo."

A golden brown light radiated out around us. It formed a dome that covered a larger area than what I could achieve on my own. My eyes took on the same colour as the light while information on everyone's location, breathing, movements and even feelings flooded my brain.

The golden hue extended over to Lissandra, adding more colour to her dark grey eyes. Our synchronization was perfect; the technique simultaneously sharing the constant information that I received with her.

Her side of the technique made my body become extremely light. It increased my speed by a drastic amount, forcing the muscles to relax; it allowed them to work together with a much higher efficiency. Her lips curved upwards as the synergy... The synchronization between us reached a much higher realm.

And then, our counterattack began.

Thousands of different coloured afterimages shot forward within the golden brown sphere. The unparalleled precision of our strikes shook the very brains of the Organization members, disconnecting them from reality.

The barrier that Angus had raised once more threatened to shatter at any moment as deep indented lines formed a spiralling web of cracks across it.

The golden brown light flashed brightly before imploding. Our afterimages faded with the flickering light while the level of the sea of darkness fell. Ten thousand bodies flopped to the ground helplessly, unable to process what had just happened.

My gaze rested on Angus; his barrier now shattered into tiny pieces. Unexpectedly, his lips spread into a wide smile as his eyes bulged. He pointed his finger behind me when the ground suddenly began to shake.

"Now, let's have some real fun."

I narrowed my eyes as I sensed hundreds of powerful Ki practitioners bolting towards our location. They were most likely the guards Angus had planned on ambushing me with.

Even if he had baited me into using large-scale attacks to send a signal to them on his behalf, it didn't matter.

"Pantheon Style: Omniscient Grace."

The golden brown light covered the area once more. His true army wasted no time in their charge; they ignored my technique, continuing to close the gap between us when thick yellow lines covered their bodies. It extended past Omniscience, directly up towards the dark sky.

It was Ghost.

Their eyes slowly swivelled toward the dark clouds that parted at hundreds of different locations along the sky. Surges of Ki left my body and descended down the trajectories from above. I watched their time compress as hundreds of bright lights lit up the sky.

I shifted my gaze back to Angus while explosions detonated all around me less than a second later. The parted clouds slowly closed once more, and the rain fell even heavier than before. I dispelled Omniscience as his reinforcements were no longer a threat.

"What the..."

"Are you serious...?"

"...Is this the power of the South?"

Angus scrunched up his face with rage. He released the full extent of his Ki and stepped forward, only to abruptly stop again.

"..."

Several people dropped down from the sky, crashing against the ground. Jasmine, Marina and Len stood behind me to my left while Skorr had his arm around Rose's waist to my right.

"You little..."

My lips curved upwards as I glanced at Gia and X, who flickered into view. His two raised fingers fell, and he slipped his hands into his cloak pockets, confident that no unexpected variables would arise.

I took a step forward, glaring at Angus. He carefully examined the situation, knowing that he simply couldn't just charge in; we weren't weak.

"What the hell is that?!!"

"...They even have an... Elementalist??"

"A... Dragon...?"

An eastern dragon roared as it swam through the cloudy sky. Its detail was stunningly lifelike, and beams of compressed water Elemental Ki shot out of its mouth, wiping out any additional reinforcements that came by.

Cold sweat dripped down Angus's neck as he watched the scene unfold before him. The anger in his eyes began to subside while reality crept in: 'I should have left him alone.'

That's probably what he was thinking.

"KEDs now!"

All of the Royal Guards injected their necks with different coloured KEDs, causing their Ki to blow past Monzen. The mansion behind them exploded as a result of everyone releasing their Ki.

"I'll be taking your throne now."

Angus smirked while kicking off the ground. His fist shot forward, reaching inches away from my face when it abruptly came to a stop.

"How DARE you try to touch my King!!"

His eyes slowly looked up at Fii, who had dropped to the ground like a bomb. She caught his fist; her seething rage, so dense it could be visibly seen.

Fii applied pressure to her grip, crushing his enhanced Ki Armour with ease before shattering the bones in his hand.

"Keuk!"

Angus winced in pain and was forced to retreat. Blaze dashed forward, flames wrapping around her as she screamed at Fii.

"Angu—"

"Silence!"

The back of Fii's fist smashed against her cheek. The ground beneath their feet fragmented into cubes, forced to rise upward as a shockwave dispelled the heavy rain in the entire area.

Blaze's skin rippled multiple times before the sheer force of the blow blasted her away. Rings of air highlighted her trajectory, splitting the earth into small fissures. Her blood splattered everywhere until the sea of darkness eventually consumed her motionless body in the far distance.

The mouths of the Royal Guards watching the scene dropped to the ground in disbelief as Fii stood in front of me. Her lilac eyes glowed with such ferocity; they all instinctively took a step back until Angus roared.

"BLAZE!!!"

His Ki erupted, and his pupils shrank to tiny dots. The Royal Guards snapped out of their daze, leaving behind blasts of wind as they encircled Fii seconds later.

Fii stood still. She took no stance while the opponents lunged forward. I shifted my gaze to the side, right where one of the Royal Guards was embedded in the earth; the whites of his eyes visible to everyone.

They stiffened, unsure of when Fii had moved, but against an opponent like her, that reaction was a mistake. Fii's hands blurred; her strikes shattering their Ki Armour every time they landed.

Elemental Ki and various abilities hurled toward Fii as she stood in front of me. Her fist shot forward, disregarding everything in her path, fracturing it into nothing. Constant shockwaves prevented the rain from falling as their assault intensified.

Her efficiency broke them down. Her raw strength demoralized them, and her ferocity made them fear her. The look of confidence in their eyes faded; sweat poured down their faces, but it wasn't exhaustion that caused it.

It was Fii.
