Immediately after receiving this knowledge Lee collapsed onto his bed, passed out. When he awoke the next morning he had a slight headache. He took his mind off the headache and then brung his attention to the knowledge he received and marveled. He knew about cell theory, viruses, tectonic plates, how weather functions, electricity, and more. How muscles and bones work to how to manufacture gunpowder or how to code with computers. He knew about cartoons, Manga, comics, music, and movies.
His understanding of the world took a massive leap in scope compared to before. He spent several minutes just organizing all this info and looking through it.
"This is simply amazing! But how and where did all this come from? There is no such thing as free lunch in a world such as this, this is simply too miraculous," Lee said as he mindlessly went through with his morning routine. "It seems the universe I exist it would be classified as a cultivation world if someone from earth were here. It seems to follow all the common tropes depicted such as the arrogant young masters and ancient Chinese culture."
This gave Lee some ideas. The people of Primal Chaos never really heard of the concept of physical exercise and training as there is no need to. Just the first stage of the elementary profound realm would put someone in the superhuman range easily, able to run at speeds surpassing a cheetah and leap over ten meters into the air or lifting a ton. So, what would happen if he were to start training physically? From his newly acquired knowledge, even the regular people in a cultivation world should be superior to normal earth people in terms of strength, speed, endurance, and potential.
From Lee's daily life he knows this to be the case at least for him since in earth terms he would be slightly above peak human in stats even though he is practically skin and bones. From that day on he begins an intense training routine.
In the first month, Lee sees drastic increases in his physical ability and physique. Where before he was bordering on anorexic he now was just plain skinny. His training would consist of calisthenic exercises for warmup and then lifting fairly heavy rocks and then running around New Moon city. The training was surprisingly fruitful as he now had the stats of someone in the 1st stage of elementary profound. He had also attracted some minor attention from the citizens for doing seemingly useless stuff for no reason. During the first two weeks, he had some trouble adapting to the training and had various levels of soreness all month, this was expected however since he had never trained ever and so intensely at that.
Another thing he worked on was his diet and combat skills. Before he had almost no skill in cooking anything so his food wasn't as nutritious as it could have been but he fixed this after noticing how terrible his food tasted relative to earth cuisine. In terms of combat, the cultivators of Primal Chaos would usually just spam a few moves over and over until their enemies keeled over and died. The only time the cultivators would use nuance and technique would be with different weapons such as the spear or sword but even then there was a lot of spamming being done.
Lee had no profound energy, profound arts, or special profound weapons so he focused on unarmed combat. When meditating on what combat style he would use he almost immediately thought of the [Street Fighting] style. It was sort of like [MMA] where it focused on pure practicality and effectiveness, there was no room for things that look cool and mystical but are useless in a real fight like Tai Chi or Wing Chun. Where the two styles differed was that [Street Fighting] incorporated different dirty tactics and moves that would get you banned from an [MMA] tournament like Mike Tyson ear-biting and kicks to the crotch or flinging dirt in the eyes.
In the second month, Lee upped the training difficulty little by little. By the end, he was running around the entire city 20 times on his hands as a warm-up. Over the course of the month, Lee also started training his body's toughness. You could be the strongest in the world but if your punch not only hurts the enemy but you as well then what's the point? He would strike really hard stones or trees to get used to the feeling of pain when striking something hard and strengthening the skin and bones in his arms and legs. When he would strike something micro-fractures would form on his bones and after healing they would become tougher. His skin would start to blister and be covered in scrapes and cuts but when they healed they would come back tougher and tougher until it was like leather.
Lee would also enter deeper into the Forest than usual to hunt Profound beasts as they were more nutritious, tasted better, and gain some combat experience.
Toward the end of the month, Lee entered the forest for the seventh time. When Lee entered the Forest he made no effort into stealth nor did he bring his weapons other than a hunting knife as they wouldn't be useful to his mission here. Lee knew he was sure to find a profound beast as he was the perfect bait. A human with no cultivation coming into a forest by himself? A free meal if they ever saw one.
Lee's thinking was proven correct when he spotted a familiar sight, the first profound beast he fought after being crippled, Profound firefox! The fox spotted him as well and growled. They both slowly circled each other, poised to strike at any time. Lee observed that the fox seemed to have increased its cultivation to the 8th stage of the elementary profound realm and grown bigger. The fox summoned its profound strength and charged at Lee, intending to finish this quickly and get its revenge.
Lee sidestepped, intending to dodge. The fox abruptly changed its trajectory mid-sprint to counter Lee. The fox opened its mouth to bite at Lee's shin and ankle but was denied with a swift kick to the face. The surprising strength from a non-cultivator caught the fox off-guard. Lee capitalized this with another kick to its ribs, breaking it from its stupor. The fox coated its claws with fire and slashed at Lee's legs. Lee nimbly flipped over the fox to land behind it and stomped on the fox's back left foot. The fox cried out in pain and in its anger launched a massive ball of fire
Lee ducked over the large fireball and then rolled away, getting back up onto his feet when sufficiently far. The disparity in strength and skill between the two opponents was clear as day. The fox wasn't strong enough and couldn't win. The firefox itself realized this and turned to run away again but Lee denied this action by kicking it in the ribs again as hard as he could. The fox's ribs shattered and pierced its internal organs.
It collapsed and a few moments later it was dead. After taking a few moments of rest Lee dragged the body back to his house to eat and sell whatever's left.
In the third month, Lee used his saved up money and acquired adjustable body weights. The weights affected anyone in the Earth profound realm or lower. The weights were used as punishment for unruly sect disciples but for Lee, they were a godsend. With these weights, Lee's training speed and efficiency increased substantially.
In the fourth month of training, Lee had begun challenging cultivators to fights to test his strength. At first, no one took him seriously at all and labeled him a delirious cripple, however, his relentless insistence and goading insults had grated the nerves of many and someone finally accepted his challenge. It happened when Lee was insulting a disciple of New Moon Profound Palace.
Lee already had made his rounds around the city, trying to provoke people into fighting him. When he was walking back from another failed attempt he spotted someone he was sort of familiar with, Murong Yi. He had been especially pestering this disciple in particular as he was known for putting up a front of being virtuous and kind but was actually a colossal asshole with a short fuse. Somehow, he had been enduring the never-ending insults by outright ignoring Lee as though he never existed, this was going to change, however.
Lee once again pestered him, this time his words were going through to Murong Yi. He tried ignoring him but Lee's last words finally made him snap.
"Running away, eh. You yellow bastard come here and take what's coming to ya! What's wrong mate, you scared of a cripple? About to run away crying to your whore of a mother!?" Lee said, to the disciple's back as he was walking away. Murong Yi's face first turned red then purple out of rage. He swung around and lunged at Lee, determined to truly cripple him.
"You insolent good-for-nothing whelp, I'm going to rip out your eyes and make you eat them!" Murong Yi cried out in anger as he dashed forward at a ridiculous speed. Murong Yi summoned his profound strength of the peak stage of the Nascent profound realm and threw a sloppy punch at Lee's dome. Lee caught his fist and used his forward momentum to slam him into the ground, forming a crater. Bystanders going throughout their day stopped to watch the spectacle.
Murong Yi sent out a wave of profound energy that swept Lee off his feet and allowed him time to get up and summon his spear from his storage ring. Lee rolled out of the way of a spear strike and got up in a stance. Murong Yi threw an overextended spear strike at Lee which he capitalized on. Lee dodged to the side and grabbed hold of the spear. Murong Yi's legs were spread a bit too wide so he sent a kick to his family jewels. Yi's hands left the spear and went straight to his groin.
While he was hissing in pain Lee positioned his foot behind Yi's and grappled him to the ground. Murong Yi tried to escape but was instead subjected to a rear-naked choke. It took a few minutes but Murong Yi was eventually knocked out.
Word had spread about Lee's prowess in battle as well as his ability to beat cultivators with no cultivation himself. Lee's fame grew and grew with cultivators lining up to try and defeat him but with no success as of yet. His training speed and efficiency had also taken a sharp increase because of this as he accumulated more battle experience and strength. Things seemed to be going well.
