Chapter 238, Departure to the Ancient Ship

"So, this makes all five Called Walkers gathered." Van says with a grin.

"And the Asterion is ready, so we can now enter the Sidus Pontem at any moment!" Mao cheered.

"So when do we depart?" As Alicia asked this my head began to throb...

"Ugh..." I hold my head and try to focus.

"Arata, you okay?" Danny asked and just then my vision turns black and I'm brought to a place I'm not familiar with.

"Where am I...?" I looked around to find nothing but a night sky, a crescent moon and something... Something in the sky.

As I try to perceive what it was I'm brought back to the real world.

"Arata, are you okay?" Mayumi asked.

"What... What just happened?" I asked as I tried to focus.

"You suddenly went into a trance and wrote this..." Ruby says and hands me a piece of paper. "We can't read it and not even Lady Felicia could decipher what you wrote."

Nodding, I take the piece of paper that Ruby hands me and I try to understand what I wrote.

"Can you understand it?" Charlotte asked.

"Give me..." I try to understand what I wrote and I begin to understand. "It's a song!"

"A song?" Theo asked and I nodded. "I think... It's a song to purify the Ancients and... A song to restore order to the worlds..."

"What else? Or is that all there is to it?" Sapphire asked.

"It's... An incantation. To release the Ancients from the Curse of Eternity." I stated and saw the last. "And... To choose."

"Choose what?" Alexis asked.

"It's nothing." I answered. "There's nothing there... It just says, 'choose'."

"Hmmm... Arata, the words used in this text are words I'm not familiar with, how can you read them?" Felicia asked.

"These are probably from the Memories of Fate." I answered as I was scanning the words I had written, the last stanza catches my attention almost immediately. "In the place where Fate sleeps, is proof, of an unfulfilled promise and a choice to be made."

"Arata, what is the Memories of Fate that you speak of?" Seiji-san asked.

"The Memories of Fate were memories, an inheritance of our mother for us. Arata, how did you access these memories?" Velti asked.

I don't answer at first because even I am unsure why and how I was able to access something that was meant only for Felicia and the Ancients. As I'm wondering these, I hear a voice calling out to me.

'Come my child, to the Flux du destin and stand at the origin.'

I immediately turn to the Sidus Pontem and at think I'm imagining it but then I hear it again. A voice calling me to that place.

"Something... No. Someone, someone is calling me to the Sidus Pontem." I answered. "It's not Lemianile... It's someone else."

"Arata, what are you doing?" Theo asks and I find myself floating off the ground.

"I was... about to teleport there..." I immediately lowered myself to the ground. "Whoever it is that is calling me, they're not an enemy."

"Alright. Let's decide, who is going to the Sidus Pontem and who'll stay behind." President Mayumi says trying to refocus us. "We can't all go there, we don't know what could happen so we need people to stay behind and guard the school and the surrounding cities."

As President Mayumi takes charge, my head begins to ache again. I can feel something... Something calling me. It's urging me to go to the Sidus Pontem, and to hurry.

"Arata, are you sure you're okay?" Theo asked worried as I clutched the edge of the table.

"Saint... When can we head to the Sidus Pontem?" I asked as I clutched the edge tightly.

"Is something wrong?" He asked.

"The voices... They keep calling me there. To that place." I answered.

"Arata, it might not be safe, it could be Karin who is trying to trick you." Monica warned.

"No... I might have an idea of who is calling me." I answered.

"Oh? Who is it?" Siel asked.

"It's-" Before I can answer, A loud quake shakes the ground and some of us are immediately knocked off balance.

"What was that?" May asked.

"Outside... I can sense a large mass of Vi... No... Shadows." Sebastian answered.

"Karin has made her move at last." I answered.

We all head outside and that's when we see it, a dark cloud beginning to form over the Sidus Pontem and spreading across the skies covering the azure blue.

"Looks like we don't have any time left. We'll have to go. Now!" Felicia says with urgency and just then the Chronicle appears before me. "What does it say?"

I read the contents and that's when I become worried. What it says... it's far too risky but, if the Chronicle says so then it must be for the best.

"Arata? What does it say?" Theo asked.

"Theo, I need you all to listen very carefully. I have a big favor to ask all of you." I told him.

"Go on." He smiled.

"Leon... I need you to go with Astrologia and Allen and return to the Galactic Gates." I stated.

"Why? Arata, can you explain first?" He asked.

"The Rivers of Fluer are starting to break apart and dry up completely, I need you to go with Astrologia and enter the Celestial Globe and until I can restore the Rivers, please keep the Gates open. Otherwise, the Vi will disappear from the worlds completely." I told him.

"Alright. You can count on me." He smiled.

"Theo... I need you and everyone else to return to the other worlds and head to the Temples we visited." I told them. "I need you to act as conduits so my power can connect with the other worlds."

"Leave it to us." Theo smiled and patted my head. "In exchange stay safe."

"I will." I answered and he along with Astrologia and the others open Gates back to their individual worlds.

"Autumn, I need you to return to the Sanctuaries and also act as my conduits." I told them and they nodded.

"Arata, please don't do anything reckless." Autumn says.

"Lastly, Seiji, I need you to spread out in teams of three and defend the Four Continents. Mayumi and the other Braves need to spread out as well and defend all corners of our world." I told them.

"Leave it to us." Seiji smiles and pats my head.

They mount the Divine Beasts and head off to the other three continents. As the Azure Dragon, the last of the Divine Beasts disappears, I turn to the last Braves who were by my side.

"I leave defending the school to you." I smiled.

"Leave it to us." Hiro smiled and with that I turned to Saint.

"Well then, let's be off." I smiled and he nodded.

We all jump unto the Asterion and head for the Sidus Pontem. As we do, I pray in my heart that everyone stays safe.
