"My heart felt heavy as I opened my eyes upon hearing Sheriah's voice. The surroundings brightened, and I found myself in the middle of the dance floor. There were still people around, but I felt lost, like a fool squinting in the dark.
I scanned the area, hoping she might still be here, but it was different faces I saw. Disappointment crept in.
"There you are!" Sheriah exclaimed the moment she saw me. I furrowed my brows, was I dreaming while awake? I touched my lips and still felt the lingering touch of hers. I knew it was her.
"W-What's happening?" I uttered, disoriented.
"Well, someone turned off the breaker earlier! We don't know who, but it seemed intentional!" She explained with a slightly annoyed tone.
"Intentional? But why?" I asked, trying to focus, to ground myself in the present, but my mind kept wandering back to that kiss.
