Last Future's Chat Group

Yamato was not your average high schooler, not in the slightest. To put it simply, he had already died once, and had been reborn into this new modern world that closely resembled the world that he once called home. When he was given this second chance, the fact of being reborn wasn't the only gift he received. He was given a power that vastly boosted his physical capabilities and more, a power that he had recognised to be known as Code Unknown. Otherwise known as [Last Future of Embryo] But, what was the reason for having this power in the first place? What was the point of such strength in a modern world where the supernatural were but simply myth? Perhaps, just perhaps this new Chat Group he had been invited to was his new calling.

Multiverse Chat Group

Before this begins, as you have probably figured out from reading the story synopsis, the main character has the power of Code Unknown, otherwise known as [Last Future of Embryo]. As some of you may know, it is the power belonging to Izayoi Sakamaki of the Mondaiji verse, a very powerful ability indeed.

I just wanted to mention that the power itself can be rather confusing to understand at times, and I definitely don't have a full grasp as to its absolute full capabilities and functions. So, if I make a mistake, please do forgive me and I'll try to correct it for the rest of the story.

----------------------------------------------------

First, he met God himself.

Second, he was reborn, with supernatural powers no less.

He had honestly thought there wasn't much else that could ever really surprise him, especially in this world that he very much knew had no supernatural influences. The gods didn't exist here, demons and angels didn't exist here, nothing. It was just a normal world that he had been born into.

After having been reborn into this normal world, and as the literal [Last Future of Embryo], there wasn't anything left that he thought could surprise him. It seems that he was indeed correct, nothing could surprise him. Not even a floating blue screen that was literally placed right in front of his face.

Yep, you heard that right.

Yamato was currently in the middle of class right now, a bored expression on his face as he had been previously staring out the window. Why would he need to pay attention? He was currently in his first year of high school, and it was only the start of the first damn semester. He had already learnt this stuff when he was alive in his old world, so it was nothing new.

Even back in his old world, he was regarded as a genius. The fact that he had photographic memory really helped in that regard. His intelligence outclassed many of his peers both in this life and his past life, and the stuff in front of him could be compared to single digit addition to him.

Back to the main point though, Yamato had not expected to have this blue hologram appear in front of his face all of a sudden. Though, his reaction to it was rather dull as he just blinked at it a few times before returning to his usual calm demeanour.

Could you blame him? The fact that he met God himself and had been born with overpowered abilities in a world where it was completely unnecessary was much more surprising than whatever this screen was. Though, from what he could see on it...

'A chat group?'

Yamato just blinked his eyes in a bored fashion as he looked at the information that was being displayed to him. From the looks of it, it was some kind of offer that was asking him whether or not he wanted to join this chat group. Maybe he was going insane and it was just a hallucination, but whatevs.

He'd take hallucinations to cure his boredom if he had to. This world literally had nothing supernatural at all to it, so he wasn't even sure what the point of him having his powers was. All in all, this world was just a pile of boredom. Maybe this chat group could relieve him from his boredom, even if for a small amount of time.

『You have been invited to the Multiverse Chat Group』

● A place where members can communicate with one another from across worlds, a place that bridges the gap between realities, connecting individuals from across all of creation! Join us, and prepare for an adventure of excitement and thrill! Would you like to join?

『Yes』『No』

...

'An adventure of excitement and thrill, huh? I'll be the judge of that.' Yamato gave a small inward scoff as he read the description. He wasn't surprised about how it mentioned different realities, he literally was living in another one right now after all.

He would be lying if he said that he wasn't interested in this chat group. Perhaps this was another gift from God, who knows? He had been incredibly bored in both of his lives, so why not see what this chat group had to offer? Couldn't hurt to have a look.

The only reason he really assumed that it must have been the doing of God was because the nature of the powers he had been given. His powers had a passive ability to negate gifts and supernatural powers, that included those of the mind affecting variety. So, for this chat group to bypass that so easily, they must be a being of immense power.

With that, Yamato tried to focus his gaze onto the『Yes』option as he didn't want to look like a lunatic by tapping the air. After all, he noticed that no-one else seemed to be able to see the interface. He frowned though when nothing happened.

'No one's looking...' Yamato quickly took the chance and tapped onto the option while everyone's attention was directed to the teacher. Thankfully, it seemed to work as it honestly felt like he had tapped onto glass. The screen disappeared before another took its place.

『We welcome you to the Multiverse Chat Group!』

『You have been selected to be the Admin of the group, thus granting you a number of privileges that the other members won't have. Please refer to the administrators and also general information pages below while we invite the other members』

『Sending invites now...』

'Other members, huh? Wonder who they'll be...' Yamato was indeed curious to find out what kind of people were out there in other worlds? Would the invited members have powers like him? Would they be normal citizens? Maybe something else. 'Let's see here...'

Yamato tapped onto the information icons that were below the given messages, having clicked on both of them as one was simply labelled 'g' and the other 'a'. It was easy to assume that 'g' was general information and 'a' was administrators.

『General Information』

● The chat group connects and builds a bridge between different realities, allowing for individuals from across different worlds to communicate and interact with one another

● The chat group will be automatically updated with new features as the number of members within the group increases. At the current time, the only features are the simple Chat Box, Send Photos, and Missions

● Missions that are commissioned by the chat group may some times require all members to participate, others may have a select few. The decision for who goes is to be decided between the group members

● When members of the chat group are on missions, they will be teleported to another world to complete it. While they are there, time in their worlds will temporarily freeze. In some cases, the world where a mission is located may be a world where one of the members reside

● Missions that take place within a world that one of the chat group members reside in don't count that person into the participants count as they already reside within that world

● Only the members that participated in the mission will be rewarded upon its completion

...

『Administrator Information』

● The administrator has full control of who is invited to the chat group beyond the initial members, being able to send an invite to any one individual from a different world. However, only one individual from each respective universe can be a member of the chat group

● The administrator is required to participate in any and all the missions that will be commissioned to the members of the chat group. The administrator is not counted into the number of participants required for missions

● The administrator will receive double the reward upon the completion of the mission

...

Yamato scanned his eyes over the information he was given as he gave a small inward nod, it wasn't all that hard to understand. Basically, with the chat group's current functions, they could send photos to each other, talk with each other, and also complete these missions.

The rules of the missions also were simple as there seemed to be a particular number of participants for each mission, with some requiring all members to participate. From the looks of it, since he was the admin now, he had no choice but to participate in them all.

But, he didn't mind. He joined this thing for an adventure after all.

Speaking of the missions, from what he understood, it seems that time would freeze in this world whenever he went on a mission. That meant that he needed to keep in mind to act natural whenever he returned, though he would probably only leave for the mission if he was in a private place where no-one else was around him to avoid weird looks.

On the positive side as well, it seemed that whatever rewards they would receive for completing the mission would be double for him. Pretty neat privilege if he said so himself. He wasn't sure what rewards they would be, but he was curious to find out. Though, he was more interested in finding out what worlds he would end up visiting.

Yamato just blinked as he saw the line of dots that were appearing as the chat group seemed to be awaiting for the decisions on the other side, he just ignored it for now as he opened up the chat before making his way over to the Chat Box section.

As expected, he didn't see any messages, it was just blank. He also took notice of the pinned prompts on the sides of the chat box, there were two, with one of them displaying the current members of the chat group, and the other displayed the current mission, which obviously didn't have anything.

'Wow, creative name...' Yamato deadpanned slightly as he looked at the nickname that he was given by the chat group. From the looks of it, he could change it, which he would do in a bit. The name he was given though literally just took the first two words of the superpower that he was given.

『Multiverse Group Chat Members』

● Last Future [Admin] [🟢]

...

The name that he was given was legit just the first two words of the name of his power, which was [Last Future of Embryo]. I mean, it sounded kind of cool, but still. It was two simple words put together that sounded kind of badass and mysterious, but it was still kind of dull and weird if he was honest...

Though, perhaps the other people that would eventually join would end up having stranger names than the one that he had. After all, there are all kinds of people out there in the vast Omniverse. True to that, it seems that a few others have some interesting names as well...
