Contingency

The next morning, the 7 do their usual duty except for Baroh as he was tasked to catch a deer that they will have to wound later.

Zagi is continuing his healing duties but he is obviously not in the right mind because he stayed up all night to making his designed trap. He doesn't really like wasting time and is very dedicated in his passion to be able to heal all those who needs it.

"You know you can take a break Zagi, I appreciate that you take your path as a healer seriously but exhausting yourself wouldn't really be a good idea as you are risking your own health and also of the others. " Yilessa tells Zagi with raising brows and crossed arms and Zagi just shrugs her off.

"Anyways, I think you forgot that stress is detrimental to health just like lack of sleep, how will you ever heal more people if you yourself needs to be healed because you don't take care of yourself." Yilessa said and rolled her eyes and left Zagi in his ward.

"Hey, I'm worried, you should really take a rest Zagi, all people need you, especially us for later with your trap, your fatigue may hinder us and even though we have no idea if this plan will work,it's still an opportunity, a chance that we really shouldn't just take for granted. " Desta also advised Zagi and then he stood up.

"I'll take care of them for you" Desta offers.

"Morning fellows but yeah I'll hand over you all to Desta, don't worry she's a good one, we're all good here" Zagi tells to his patients and walked past Desta who was leaning by the door, Desta gives him oats on his shoulder.

"Don't make stress out of resting, please, you deserve it, enough with self sabotage." Desta glaringly whispers to Zagi as he leaves the ward and she now walks forward Zagi's ward and turn to the people.

"Hi fellows, I'm Desta sorry Zagi cannot attend you right now, but don't worry I'm here" and Desta takes over Zagi's ward.

As Zagi left his ward Yilessa was just nearby with a shocking face.

"Such a picky man" Yilessa exclaims as Zagi walks past her.

Zagi went to the stockroom to take a rest.

Later that, it's afternoon and Baroh arrived to the clinic with a live deer tied up.

"I hope we really meet a spiritual healer, I kind of went harsh catching this one and I think we've already made a bond I need him to live more" Baroh says while teary-eyed in the backdoor of the clinic.

"That's a very good job Baroh, although we cannot assure you that there will be a spiritual healer to heal your very beloved deer friend, Zagi will be glad to wake up with a tongue on his face, what do you think?" Yilessa suggests with a smile on her face.

"I, too, Baroh the Healer, thinks that's a very good idea." Baroh says while wiggling his brows and grinning.

The two of them giggled and proceeded to sneakily go into the stockroom with the tied up deer.

Inca saw the two and just shook her head out of dismay.

"I think it's a good thing that Zagi later is well rested, but I don't think an upset Zagi is good." Inca tells Uerir.

"Uhh, what do you mean?" Ueris confusingly asked.

Inca then points to Baroh and Yilessa with a deer.

Ueris holds onto his forehead.

"No…No…No…"Uerir murmurs as he walks briskly towards the two.

"Stop that right now!" He shouted

"Uh-oh" Baroh and Yilessa said while looking at each other with the Deer already prancing its way to the slightly open stockroom.

Soon after, Uerir is now in front of the two.

"What do you think you two are doing?" Uerir angrily asks while the two are shifting away their gaze trying to look away from his glare.

Suddenly, the door of the stockroom fully opened with Zagi carrying the Deer like a baby.

"The night bloom is glowing, I think it's time now to do the set up in the forest." Zagi tells everyone ignoring the three near him.

"You're right, we must start" Uerir says and distances himself from the two.

"Mission: Deer Lure Spiritual Healer on the go!" Yilessa excitedly says while lowering her voice.

The 7 started closing the clinic and preparing for their spiritual healer hunt.

While venturing their way to the forest. Avisse have noticed how silent Yilessa is.

"Hey Yilessa, you okay? Don't worry about my brother I'm sure he'll just let pass by what happened earlier, plus Zagi isn't in a bad mood, nothing really happened that bad." Avisse tells Yilessa

"Y-yeah, I-I guess so" Yilessa replies nervously.

Avisse notices how Yilessa is sweating a lot, fidgeting her fingers, a very unusual sight to see in Yilessa.

"Hey just chill right there, I don't think we'll get in trouble with our failed prank, stop worrying, aren't you excited of what's gonna happen later with the trap Zagi made?" Baroh tells Yilessa

"Yeah, we'll finally get a chance to encounter one even though we have zero to none of probability it'll be successful" Inca encourages sarcastically.

"That's just straight up unnecessary , can't you at least pretend this is something good? What's bad about being nice even just for a sec? SNITCH." Baroh replies, with emphasis on the snitch.

"Sorry not sorry, I thrive off negativity." Inca says while looking at Baroh with bored eyes.

"Okay we arrived now in the bait spot, Baroh get me the deer" Zagi tells Baroh

Baroh was about to hand over the deer to Zagi bu Zagi stops him.

"Woah, woah, woah, I mean wounded deer Baroh, hand it to me with wound" Zagi says to Baroh

"Uhm okay, where should we injure my deer friend?"Baroh asks

"Just give it a scratch on it's leg, enough scratch to make it wounded" Uerir tells Baroh.

"Understood" Baroh affirms and scratches the deer's leg with a small knife.

"Sorry deer friend." Baroh whispers to the deer that yelped a little with the knife.

"Your deer now" Baroh hands over the wounded deer to Zagi.

"Hey fellow deer, let's just hope that a fellow spiritual healer will really find you, pretty sure they want you to walk and live just like we do." Zagi says to the deer.

"I made a small cottage there that just blends in with the forest, that's where we are going to watch over the deer" Zagi says as he points out to the well built cottage.

"I don't see it" Baroh says

"I don't know if you're just stupid or maybe Zagi just did a very well job on making the cottage camouflage that you can't even see it, it's just right there beside the Yellow Bells" Inca tells Baroh

"Definitely the second one, good job Zagi, I can't even see it, it's just like the forest" Baroh commends Zagi.

The 7 proceeded to go to the cottage and wait there for movements and look around for signs of spiritual healers.

Time passed and there were no much signs of spiritual healers.

The seven was alerted when they heard movements in a bush near the deer.

"Oh my god" Yilessa exclaims

The 7 watched intently at what is going on in the deer and the bush.

"It could be anything, I mean Spiritual healers can change forms right?" Baroh asked.

"Yeah, but from what I've read they can be like, just a normal tree, maybe they camouflage? I don't really know" Zagi says.

Later on what appeared to be making sounds in the bushes is a squirrel carrying a nut.

"You know what, I think by the time that we were waiting for anything to happen? That deer's leg is already healing, what if maybe we add another one? Something that will really alarm spiritual healers that they just wanna instant tend to the deer?" Inca suggests.

"Maybe let's just call it a day, I don't want the deer friend to suffer more okay?" Baroh says.

Inca ignores Baroh and snatches the small knife from his pocket.

"Inca this is not part of the plan" Uerir tells Inca.

"Haven't you heard of contingency plans? Because you're about to witness one" Inca says.

She marches towards the deer's direction with the small knife high up in the air getting ready to stab the deer.

As she was near the deer the squirrel run away.

"Spiritual healers maybe if you can, how about you resurrect this one up!" Inca shouts on the trees.

As she was to stab the deer

A plant vine stopped her hand.

"This is it" Inca murmurs

The 7 was shocked at the sight they saw

They see a man like their age with a glowing blooded palm right across the deer.

"Stop stop!" Yilessa ran out of the cottage yelling stop.

"She's a friend, she's a friend!" Yilessa shouts as she run.

The other members of 7 are flabbergasted from what they are seeing.

This explains more of why Yilessa, the one who's usually excited about spiritual healers acts very unusual since earlier when they were preparing out the trap.

"What?" Baron whispers to himself while holding his head with both of his hands.

"Nerus stop! She's a friend, please let her go!" Yilessa begs to Nerus

"You are friends with this?" Nerus furiously asks Yilessa

"Yes, yes, she's just like me, we heal people" Yilessa explains

"And yet why are you trying to hurt the deer?" Nerus asks

"Please let her go first? We'll talk, I'll explain" Yilessa tells Nerus

Nerus approaches to Yilessa while slowly loosening the plant's grip on Inca's wrist.

As he walks forward he tripped onto something.

A tranquilizer shoots in the air and hits Nerus.

"No!" Yilessa shouts

Nerus falls down on a net and the net rises up with him inside unconsciously.

"Nice catch Zagi, nice catch" Baroh tells Zagi

Zagi went out of the cottage silently and approaches the caught Nerus and Baroh follows him.

Avisse runs towards Yilessa

"Are you okay? You know him?" Avisse asks Yilessa but she's speechless staring at the unconscious Nerus up inside a net.

Desta follows up to Avisse and also tends to Yilessa.

"You've definitely got a lot of explaining to do Yilessa" Uerir tells her.

"The tranquilizer will make him unconscious just right up til tomorrow morning, we're gonna need to bring him in the basement, we should let no one know about him, we don't want him to be in danger " Zagi tells the 7.

"Honestly, Yilessa I'm confused about you right now" Baroh tells Yilessa.

Yilessa continues to be in Avisse's arms while looking at Nerus.

The 7 headed home together this night, along with them is the unconscious Nerus.

Avisse is shocked with what happened tonight.

Especially finding out that Yilessa knows a spiritual healer. And the spiritual healer has a name, Nerus.

She's having mixed emotions with everything.

She observes how Uerir is constantly stealing glances at Yilessa while Desta tries to calm Uerir and trying to convince him to give her first a break.

This is a fruitful night she thought to herself.
