Saving Kendra!!!

Chapter 27: Saving Kendra!!!

After the win against Lennon and the domination of the beast nation, Lancelot and his team set out for the forest nation.

The forest nation citizens are a gentle nation that would mostly keep to themselves. They don't like trouble and neither did they look for trouble.

It was hard to find them unless one gains approval from the forest nation.

The only person to have managed to do so was Kendra. This was because of her heroics against the Air nation in the past.

The last time she went there, they gave her a special amulet that would help her reach out to them if ever she was close to the general location of the forest nation.

Unknown to any member of the team, Kendra carried the amulet everywhere she goes and presently it hung on her neck as they rode to the forest nation.

Normally elemental masters had no need for transport except for normal people, most times they made use of their elements as means of transport, like the wind element, the fire element, the water element, and the earth element.

It should be noted that elemental transport consumed a great deal of energy. However, beast nation rode beast as a means of transport.

Blood nation would require a carriage or two, except the higher-ranked blood masters who could blend with or in the blood of any nearby being, to move through them.

This was excruciatingly painful so they prefer to ride carriages attached to horses, this also

goes for the steel nation and the forest nation.

Although the forest nation could blend in with nature like grasses and trees, overall it would consume more energy and they would move more slowly, so using a carriage would simply be better for them.

Lancelot had a map which he followed to trace the location of the forest nation. He had never seen a single member of the forest nation all his life. This made the trip even more important to him.

He wanted to know them and earn their favor, although he had no way of knowing if they would accept him.

He still chose to have faith and besides, Kendra was the most important thing to him right now, so he needed to find them one way or another in order to save her. They moved at a breakneck speed, riding to the general location of the forest nation.

Kendra was by the side of Lancelot in a carriage

Lancelot has ensured that everyone rode a carriage to keep them close to one another and also ensure they moved with the same momentum.

Everyone rode a carriage, except for the beast-men that accompanied them, who rode different kinds of the beast, some of which were summoned beasts.

Lancelot would glance at the sleeping Kendra beside him. She seemed to be struggling in her sleep.

She would furrow her brow time and time again but for some reason, she couldn't recover

'What was responsible for this phenomenon?'

Lancelot would think to himself, but he couldn't make out any reason why she was still in that state.

They progressed till they got to a major zone in the heart of a jungle in the continent of Chimitra.

Chimitra was another continent on its own.

It was very far from the continent that domiciled the water nation as north is to south.

Chimitra was a continent that hou sed two nations, Earth and Forest. The continent Khumalö which was named after the fire legend Khumal, housed five nations, including; Fire, Water, Air, Blood, and Beast nation.

While metal nation existed on its own in the third continent of the world, known as the continent of ores, 'Oreghuma',

Apart from the three elemental continents, there still existed other continents around the world.

It took them three months to travel by both carriages and to load their carriages on a large ship heading straight for the continent of Chimitra.

The sea was peaceful and the water nation felt at home near the sea.

Their condition was at its peak, even Kendra gru nted twice while they crossed the sea, showing that she felt the impact of an increase in elemental conditions.

They later crossed the sea and continued trodding with their carriages till they got to the very heart of the jungle of Chimitra.

The Jungle of Chimitra was a large expanse of forest that had all kinds Of dangers within it, not much knowledge existed about it because no one who visited ever wrote down their experience for some reason.

As they got to the heart of the jungle, the amulet on Kendra started to glow, violently, the space started to change and from a dense forest filled with extremely tall trees of various proportions, an aura of life started to appear.

The first to appear was a group of dwarves having clothing made out of huge green leaves to cover their privates and foot, there was also another that was designed as a covering for their head.

They stood stunned at the sight in front of them, a total of thirty different combinations of carriages and beast-men on the different kinds of beasts.

Never had they seen such a sight visiting their nation.

A large tree elf with pointed ears came out, he had a mark on his chest Which signified leader, the aura he exuded was that of a powerful being as he stood before them.

"Where is Kendra?" He asked dismissively, not caring who stood before him.

Lancelot brought along Kendra in his arms not also minding the rudeness of the tree elf before him.

The elf looked at her sorry state and shook his head,

"She is in a coma" he said and paused shortly before continuing "Fortunately, we can save her".

Then he commanded some of the dwarves to carry Kendra in, but he prevented anyone else from entering the nation apart from Kendra.

He didn't know any of them nor did he trust them.

One of the downsides of living in seclusion and being hard to reach was that one would generally be lacking in information.

They had not communicated with the outside world and did not know that the Air nation had already been conquered so their skeptical and frugal nature in dealing with visitors has always been their first state of introduction.

Lancelot didn't mind at all, he was comfortable with the fact that as long as Kendra could wake

up, she would allow them to get in.

He took the remaining members of the group and set up a camp just outside the forest nation, but something odd happened.

Immediately Kendra stepped her foot onto the grounds of the forest nation, the entrance and everything they saw disappeared, leaving only the dense forest again, and when they moved forward to see if they could fight the illusion, they discovered that they just moved to another part of the dense forest,

Lancelot sighed and said:

"let's wait till Kendra wakes up, till then let's improve ourselves, this war is far from over".
