Lady billionaire's husband

"Linda, as the only child of your mother's, my first child and heir of the family, it is your duty to make sure that our family name continues. I am giving you 30 days to find a suitor or you will lose your inheritance and your mother's gallery will be sold off", said Lilly King, Linda's grandmother. "The mission was clear: "Find a man or die", okay die, is a bit dramatic but for me finding a husband was like a game of death, should I join a dating site? go on a dating show?" This story follows Linda King as she fights to keep what is hers and time is not on her side. Will she succeed?

The right thing to do -3

Why didn't she do it? Jin Ae kept asking herself that question, in fact, she's been asking herself that same old question since the crash decades ago. She wondered if she had tried a little harder, would things be different? If she had not trusted Lilly and Joseph King to handle it.

She sighed heavily knowing that no amount of explanation or sophisticated excuses would make Sello understand, hell she didn't even get it herself.

She stood up from her seat, "I think is time I leave. Please say goodbye to my nephew for me"

Sello grabbed her hand with frustration and annoyance, she needed answers, her brother died unfairly, he had been taken from her way too young, and he didn't even get the chance to raise his daughter. Forget her, Linda grew up an orphan over something that could have been avoided, but the person who could give her answers and put her chaotic mind at ease was just dismissing her like she was a nuisance, she hated it, she hated the way she felt, helpless. She knows Linda has been digging around for answers and it kills her that she doesn't have the power to even help her out. At first, she just wanted to have a peaceful conversation with Jin Ae, and give her the chance to explain herself, but her behavior was crushing her hopes of a calm discussion.

She glared at her with piercing dark eyes, "You are not going without telling me what I need to know. I lost my brother. My niece lost her parents. I think it's only right that we at least get some of our questions answered, don't you think? It doesn't make sense, how the plane crashed, including the events leading to the crash...."

Jin Ae gently released herself from her grip, "I am really sorry for your loss, but I really have no clue what you are talking about...", as much she wanted to tell her, she still had to be careful herself, her own nephew could be in danger, she had no luxury to be reckless with such information. She had to put him first, besides, if there's one person she feels she owes, it's Linda, and only Linda can get the information out of her.

She swiftly waltzed out to the door leaving Sello irritated and her hands trembling in anger. A short while after Jin Ae left, Sharon joined Sello downstairs, "Oh, she's gone?", she asked seeing the empty seat in front of her, "I guess we took longer than anticipated-"

She paused upon seeing the troubled look on Sello's face, "Are you okay? Did something happen?",

Sello cleared her throat, and curved her lips to a smile, "No no honey, I just read something disturbing on my phone. People are crazy out there. So what took you so long, I was beginning to get bored..."

Sharon could sense that she wasn't being completely honest, she remembered the early encounter between her and Jin Ae, "Are you sure you are okay? Jeremy's aunt-"

"I am fine sweety, trust me.", she said in a more cheerful tone, enough to convince Sharon to let it go for the time being.

Sharon eyed her one more time before jumping to a new topic, "I was helping Jeremy put your niece to bed, I have never seen her act like this before, it was like dealing with a toddler, she kept waking up to dance, shout or just grab Jeremy. I left them in bed because she physically attached herself to him, not letting him go-", Sello burst out laughing at the described scene. That was the cheerful Linda she knew, as a child, she was always a handful, she couldn't help but be both envious and proud of Jeremy for bringing out that side of her, the innocent child-like side. Her brother's side.

"I think we should leave, we can come back tomorrow for the pancakes-"

"I was about to say that. I already told Jeremy that we were leaving. You should have seen the way she locked him down, in fact, I have pictures-"

Sello was suddenly in a better mood, she was glad she could be physically there to bear witness to such a sight, she knew her niece wasn't as icy as described.

"Let's go back to Linda's, we will spend the night there..."

Sharon's eyes widened, "What?? Really? Are you sure?"

"Yeah, I mean if Linda could break character, why shouldn't I? Besides, we will need to bring her fresh clothes tomorrow..", Sharon smiled widely in excitement and nodded at Sello, happy to have her finally step foot at Linda's place. She couldn't wait for her friend to hear about this, she knows that it's been one of her longest-standing wishes. She leaned back to her seat to enjoy the ride and her mind wandered off to Linda.

Not knowing how her behavior may have made her aunt break her oath, Linda was sleeping peacefully at Jeremy's. Driven by the need to use the bathroom, she slowly opened her eyes to the unfamiliar scent that instantly captured her nostrils, but that was not what startled her, she woke up on top of Jeremy and he still had his clothes on. She first wondered how it was physically possible for a person to sleep in that posture, but soon, she began having flashbacks of her escapades, she instantly yelled, "Oh my God!", and flew out of bed startling Jeremy causing him to open his eyes in panic, "What? what? Are you okay?",

She frantically searched around the room for her shoes avoiding eye contact, "Oh my God...oh my God, I am so sorry-", she never felt so embarrassed and ashamed of her behavior, she wished so hard to find a hole to bury herself, but that was not realistic, so she was left with going home.

Jeremy watched her in amusement, her face was completely red, and he loved it. He loved that he was the person she thought of when she got drunk, he thought he lost her, but there she was in front of him and he missed her so much it hurt. The past few days felt like punishment, he never wanted to feel like that again, he let his legs lead him to where she was, he grabbed her arm, and his lips aimed directly at hers. Linda's eyes popped for a second but the moment she registered what was happening, she let go and gave in to her emotions, she threw her arms around his neck and allowed his hands to tightly grab on her waist. Their lips danced so perfectly together, and their hearts fluttered in contentment, they belonged together, they belonged like this, nothing felt as right as when they were together. His heart was limping with joy, her body fit so well in his hands, at that moment, he realized that he wanted her, all of her, he could no longer control how his heart fluttered around her, he no longer had control of his emotions, he is happy when she's around and he falls into despair when she's gone. He pulled back to gaze deep into her eyes, and softly whispered,

"I love you..."
