Akio poked his head out of the hedges. It was nighttime now, and just about all of the students and staff had gone home or to their dorms. "Psst! Sora, wake up!"

The leaves rustled around until Sora slowly peered out of the hedge. She yawned as she squinted at the building. "Is it time...?"

Akio jumped out. "Yeah, let's go."

fwoosh!

The two dashed across the lawn towards the academy.

"Do we smash through the door?" Sora asked.

"No... we can phase through with my spatial magic." Akio held his hand out towards the door. A magic circle spun into view and opened up a hole to the other side. It closed behind them.

"Neat."

Akio looked around. "It's huge. How're we supposed to know where the portal is?"

"Let's check the basement. It's the furthest away from the students."

"Good idea."

A figure appeared in the shadows of the room. "And just where do you think you're going?"
