a new begining

Hours later Arthur comes out with eleven devil corpse and sees a couple of wagons at the entrance and a scientist. "hi I'm Amy and I'm head of research at the capital we are here to collect the devils "here " Arthur said throwing them in the wagon "These are in pristine condition how did you get it like this" " with this" handing her a broken sword "it broke after the fifth one" .

" then how did you kill the rest " "with these" Arthur said lifting up his right hand showing the spiked knuckles " this is great information is it alright if I come back" "sure bring more wagons and anyone else but the limit is three" " alright you got a deal " Amy got on the wagon and rode back to the capital "so many people recently" Arthur went back home to make another sword and to fix his armor. The next day ria Amy and soldier showed up at Arthurs door .

" oh hello come on in " Arthur served some tea " how can I help you " Arthur asked " can you make me some more rings " ria asked impatiently " I'm just here for the devils and to see how you make your gear " Amy asked bluntly " and you are " " I'm scarlet one of the captains and I want a weapon I saw the one Amy had and It looked interesting " "alright seems easy enough follow me " Arthur went to the forge and pointed to 22 devil corpses there's one of your request done ".

" 22 and in perfect condition when did you get these" Amy asked excitedly " this morning I told captain winters yesterday they respawn fast" Athur said causally while starting the forge " here pick from one of these blueprints" handing scarlet a stack of paper saying weapons " sword, spear, axe, mace , claws. " what's the claw " scarlet asked " in the house on the right hand of my armor is the claw go though the door and turn left and my armor will be there its not hard not to miss". Athur yelled scarlet went inside and looked to the left and had a mini heart attack when seeing the armor she exhaled heavily and looked at its hand.

She saw the claw and she was entranced by its beauty she went to take the hand off and look at, when she took it off it fell and dragged her with it. Arthur went in to look and saw her on the ground pinned by the piece of armor he picked the hand up and put it back on the stand "why is your armor so heavy shouldn't be lighter to move easily around in it" Amy asked while casting a healing spell on scarlets wounded hand " while yes you would so you can cast while moving but I don't have magic so I don't need light armor I need heavy to protect myself".

Arthur said walking back to the forge " don't have magic" they yelled in unison " then how do you kill the devils" scarlet asked " well my running theory is that the devils are weak to physical attacks sense I heard that it took three captains to kill one" Arthur explained " yes! that make sense can you make some thin metal tools so I can do some experiments" Amy's eyes sparkled at this new discovery

"in the top cabinet there is a toolkit with some". Arthur pointed Amy quickly looked for it asking " is there something in them you need " " their blood is some kind of poison that dispels magic power I bring some in the dungeon to deal with some monsters" Arthur said getting the tools for her " how do you know this if you don't have magic" Amy said while running to the pile of corpses " I got some on my armor when I turned and got hit with some ice magic the impact still knocked me back but it reduced some of the damage so I started to coat my armor in devils blood that's why its pitch black".

Arthur said picking a devil and put it outside on a table near the forge Amy quickly went to work Arthur went inside to get some paper " here is some paper to take notes and here is mine I took " Arthur said giving them to her. She looked though excitedly and stopped on a page " it says here that all of the monsters blood is black why" she asked " I think it has to do with the atmosphere in the dungeon it's a murky darkness and I think it has a effect on the creatures inside its real heavy and thick there should be page on it " she gave back to Arthur and he started to flip though it.

" ah here it is I called it oppressive darkness and some stuff I could feel about it later after I clear it again I can take you to do some experiments" Arthur said handing the book back to Amy " really!" Amy hugged Arthur and squealed acting like a kid in a candy shop Arthur went back to the forge where he saw scarlet looking at his armor she noticed him " can you make me armor like yours minus the heavy part " scarlet asked " I can but it will take awhile " Arthur said looking at the clock " but it will be a couple of hours before I start the dungeon needs to be cleared again".

Arthur said putting on his armor " how often does it need to be cleared " Amy asked running in after hearing dungeon "every 10 hours " Arthur said getting some lanterns and a spare sword " every ten hours " they yelled in unison " it takes a week for the dungeons in the capital " scarlet yelled " well the dungeons in this area resurrect monsters really fast" Arthur said walking out Amy and scarlet walked with him " if your coming with me there are some things you need to know first it is much darker than any other dungeon second the devils move extremely quickly and silently so always stay on guard and take these " Arthur explained and gave them short swords" to use these push with force in the stomach , chest and throat it will guarantee a devil kill" Arthur showed them on a corpse .

" alright take these as well in case something happens and you can't use magic" he gave them lanterns and with that they entered the dungeon. When they walked in Amy had cast a light spell and scarlet was ready with a lighting spell but when they entered the darkness their spells vanished losing the ability to cast magic " shit we lost are magic".

they said in unison as soon as they said that a devil appeared behind them "you two come with me" Arthur yelled while tackling the devil and pushing it out of the dungeon " scarlet when we get out there restrain the devil and Amy lock it up". Arthur yelled they exited the dungeon and followed the plans Arthur yelled " you two stay out here and guard it and call for reinforcements or something I'll be in here for awhile " Arthur said walking back in to the dungeon Amy sent a message to the capital for a restriction team and a person with high combat level scarlet sat down and took a breather.
