Chapter 1 : I'm Kuroko?

While I never thought that my old world was very exciting because I was a normal guy, it didn't mean that I wanted to end up in another world as someone else.

But life suck and there's always moments in our life where even if we didn't wish for it, it will still happen.

And I certainly never wished to be...transmigrated? as Kuroko Tetsuya, one of two main characters of the popular Manga Kuroko's Basket. But unfortunately, that is what happened to me.

Honestly if I were to go to this world, I would have preferred if I ended as one of the GM (Generation Miracle), Kagami, or an uncrowned king.

And that for a single reason : they were talented! While Kuroko has a talent in being almost a transparent guy and also possess a quasi-emperor eye, but his talent in Basket wasn't enough. At least against real talented people, this alone wasn't enough. Every time Kuroko fought against one of the GM members it had never been an equal fight, but one where he was constantly the challenger. If Kagami, who's talent was on pare with the GM wasn't there, Kuroko would have never won. If it was in my old world, I wouldn't have cared about it. But in this world, basketball players had almost supernatural powers, and most importantly, basketball was even more popular than Football because of that.

So if could, I didn't want to give up on basketball, especially so when I was also a huge fan of basketball myself in my old earth. But I knew that even though Kuroko was the protagonist in the Manga, realistically, he could never become a pro player in the future due to his talent. And I myself like Kuroko, wasn't talented in that sport.

But fortunately, whoever transmigrated me here, was kind enough to give me the chance to change my talent and realize my dream to become a pro player in future.

Because like many transmigrators, I was given a system. It didn't have a name and had only one function : evolving my skills.

All I had to do was to use my current skills up to 100% proficiency for them to evolve.

All skills where ranked by color. They were : white, yellow, blue, purple, black, red and gold. White being the weakest and gold the strongest skill.

And because of my untalented self, I had no skills above black rank. Even then, I possessed only two skills at the black rank level : the Quasi-emperor Eye and invisible pass. That eye was the foundation of Kuroko's other skills. Be it misdirection, vanishing drive or phantom pass, they all relies on the Quasi-emperor eye predictive, analytical capabilities and broad vision.

But because of that, I was also able to understand the gap between me and true genius. Probably every members of the GM had at least 2 Red skills or a Golden skill.

"So, I'm actually in the same situation as Himuro Tatsuya, huh? 'Talented' enough to play decently, but not enough to continue in higher level..."

I didn't lamented too much on this unfairness because I now possess a system, instead I start to planned for my future.

The junior high school basketball tournament finished a long time ago and I now had a month and half left in Teiko before going to Serin high school.

"If we count the holidays, then I still have roughly 2 months... I hop that it will be enough for me to improve enough so that I could be called a Generation Miracle without feeling like a fraud..." I said half jokingly.

Having finishing my casual complaint, I look at the transparent screen in the air displaying my skills.

Looking at all the '+' signs on the skills, I knew that it meant that their proficiency where already all max out. Something that didn't surprised me with how much the old Kuroko worked hard to be able to stand side by side with his friends.

Mentally clicking on the [Quasi-Emperor Eye] Skill, I immediately received a prompt.

'Yes!' I commend mentally.

Furthermore, as the host plays, it will record everything that happens on the court and start to predict the course of events based on the datas obtained through the game. And the more the game progress, the more precise will be the predictions. Furthermore, you can always see your opponents blind spot and instable points. (Active) {Future Act} Based on the datas collected, you can see the future 1,5 second that will happen on its entirety as if you were replaying a video. (Cool down 5 seconds).]

I didn't need the prompt to know that my eyes change, because the moment they evolved, I immediately felt the change. It was like I suddenly possessed the byakugan, as I could see the bed behind me with clarity, even though I was sitting with my computer in front of me. Furthermore, as time passed, I start to noticed that my memory got better. Almost to the level of photographic memory. But I understood that it was needed for the predictive ability of my eyes.

But having tasted the sweetness, I didn't want to stop here, so with a thought of mine, I upgraded all of my current skills.

[Ignite Pass (Purple) : (Passive) The strength of your arms as well as your aim sense are passively strengthen when you use this skill.]

This time, after all my skills upgraded the change in my body were even more obvious. Not only did I felt stronger by a lot, but even visually, I could see that my arms had more muscles than before. It was unfortunate that I couldn't see my physical data on this system, but I saw that my height increased!

Except the lack of talent for basket, what stung the most for Tatsuya, was his height. And now, because of the system it increased by 4 centimeters!

Honestly after all of this, the only thing I wanted to do right now, was to take my basketball and go to some playground to use my new upgraded skill. Unfortunately, it was already dark outside so, most likely nobody was on the playground at this hour. Especially so when tomorrow will be Monday.

A bit frustrated to not be able to try my new skills on the spot, but also to feel how different is basketball in this world compared to my old one, I could only repress my excitement and try to sleep.
