The Peking Opera mask stamps, worth over seventy thousand yuan each, come in a complete set of eight. In this album, there's a brand-new full set, and the total value of 5.6 million yuan could easily double.
The special misprinted stamps, with a luminous glow due to a miscalculation in the printing process, were initially released with an unsatisfactory design, immediately recalled and destroyed upon release.
Although it is estimated that more than 700 of these stamps might still exist in the future, each stamp has sold for over 1.28 million yuan. Here, however, four consecutive luminous ones were included.
A rough estimate adds up to 5.12 million yuan.
There's even a rare "Blue Sky" stamp.
It's worth noting that the stamp that was withdrawn from circulation has never been issued as a complete sheet in the country. Four auctions of this stamp only included the right half, which sold for 2.19 million yuan.
