Gabriel couldn't help but grin as he checked the time again. It was nearly eleven and Megan was still in bed asleep. They had been up late. He slept better last night than he had in ages. Gabriel was glad to see the same held true for his wife. He would have to wake her soon but for now it made him happy that she had found as much peace in them being together as he had.
"Your ridiculous. I haven't seen you in this good of a mood in ever. Seriously, though… You have been checking the time every ten minutes. Are you taking Megan's late rising as a personal accomplishment?" Afton laughed.
"I am actually. Megan hasn't been sleeping well lately. Not since the hotel. I am glad she is peaceful." Gabriel answered in a mild tone.
"Well, we have waited for her long enough. Let's go to the study and go over contingencies for the claim." Afton said standing.
Gabriel stayed where he was. "Nothing will go wrong."
