Chapter 11
This time she didn't dodge it on time and slapped her hard while one of its claws scratch her back. Blood ooze out of her back she felt her entire body is aching very badly. She doubles her speeds of movements and ride on the bears back, her legs and arms are full of scars. She gritted her teeth and sliced its neck using her knife. The bear fell down on the ground with its throat being sliced by the knife. Together with Shera's body which is heavily injured too. That is the time where the elite soldiers came to her rescue.
Shera's sight is already blurry but still she saw Juro's figure and hear his voice before she passed out.
"Medic, I need someone to apply first aid on her wounds" said Juro while holding Shera in his arms. The blood in her body is dripping on the ground.
"Sir Juro lie her on the stretcher" said the Medic who came with the other elite soldier.
"Her wounds are severe especially the one on her back. I'm afraid it will leave a scar and her back" said the Medic after he applied the first aid and treat her other wounds.
Shera is lying with her stomach facing the bed and her bare back was exposed and the ugly scar is from her left shoulder blades across down to her right corner of her waist.
"For woman to have this kind of scar is very unfortunate. I don't know how will she reacts if she found out" said the Medic.
Juro was silent for the entire time. He admit that he admire the guts of the young lady he serve. Although he really didn't like the idea being her bodyguard but as time goes by he really is amaze with her abilities and skills. Her combat abilities and skills surpass every ordinary man. Even he can't be compared with her. But why the sudden changes and it's really extremely shocking that a woman has this kind of talent. Now he understand why the Elders are very fond of her.
"Her training is almost done today. We can already bring her to us" said Juro.
He prepared everything first for their departure and return to the base.
They land safely at the base, the two elders are waiting for the helicopter to get down.
But what shocked them is Shera's condition. She is still in comma when they land so the two Elders see her being carried to a stretcher although the Medic treated her already but the scar in her body shocked the two Elders.
"What happened to her?" asked the two Elders.
"She encounter a brown bear inside the forest. It attacked her which leads her into this state" Juro replied.
"Call my men here and tell them to bring her in the laboratory" said Elder Lang worriedly.
All the people in the laboratory became busy after they brought Shera inside.
"Use all our newly developed medicine to her. Some of them are for fast healing for the wounds and bones. Use all the newly developed scar remover" Elder Lang instructed.
One week passed and Shera remains unconscious.
"Sir all her wounds inside and out are all healed even the scars. Only the scar on her back is the only remaining one" replied Elder Lang's assistant.
The Elder sigh "I hope you wake up now. We can delay about your news any longer" mumbled the old man beside Shera.
"What was that noise?" Shera said to herself then open her eyes. She felt her body is much lighter than the last time.
"What happened to me?" ask Shera to herself she didn't see the people beside her.
"Thank God you're awake" said the man beside her.
Shera was stunned when she heard the voice of the old man.
"Oh! Uncle Lang why are you here?" asked Shera confusedly.
"Juro and his men brought you back being injured with your training" replied the Elder Lang. "The Medic they brought did an excellent job in giving first aid to you" he added.
Shera sit down on the bed and massage her forehead.
"I remember fighting a brown huge bear in the training ground" said Shera.
"Young lady why did you insist on fighting it?" asked Elder Lang curiously.
"Uncle, what crap are you asking me for?" Shera replied while smiling. "I'm there for training so why would I avoid fighting it?" she added confusedly.
The old man sigh again "Shera, do you know what is the sense of training for survival?" asked Elder Lang.
"What do you mean Uncle Lang?" asked Shera confusedly.
"It means to survive no matter what means you used. It's not cowardice to escape if you know your opponent is stronger than you. Why would you need to suffer if you could avoid it or use some unethical means to counter it? Remember never ever provoke someone first unless they are the one who started it" Elder Lang said.
Shera remains silent while the old man is talking.
"Use your gift properly, use it to protect someone and not to bring misery and suffering to others because when you do. You will be the one to suffer in the end" said the old man mysteriously.
Shera didn't retort the old man's words.
"By the way we used the medicine you created while you are staying here. That's why your condition is much better now. Congratulations for finishing the training. Are you ready to go back to your family now?" asked Elder Lang.
"Yes, I am delayed for a couple of days now. I hope they are not worried for me" Shera replied.
"Don't worry we didn't tell them your real situation yet but we are planning to if you didn't wake up today" replied the old man.
Shera smiled at the old man "Thanks Uncle" she said.
"Thank God you're awake" said the voice behind them.
"Hello Uncle Ling, how are you?" asked Shera.
"As usual not good young lady. Why did you risk your life fighting the wild beast?" asked Elder Ling.
"I have no choice it attacked me first" Shera replied while smiling.
"You dumb kid seriously" Elder Ling replied. "By the way Juro is actually very worried about you. He seems like a hen protecting his chicks to strangers when we saw you the day they brought you out from the training" he added.
Shera was surprised of what she heard. She felt her heart warmed up with what she heard.
"By the way we will introduce you officially as the new successor of Carillo and Maximillian one month from now and as you requested you could use masked if you didn't want the other members know you. While Juro will be your personal body guard who will stay by your side twenty-four seven" said Elder Ling.
"Ok" Shera replied. She knows it already that as long as she accept the role of being the successor of both clans this will be inevitable because she will be responsible for the wellbeing of so many people. Her brother didn't passed the test so she becomes the only candidate.
In her past like she didn't accept it because she devote herself wooing a man who destroyed her life and future. Now she promised to herself that it will be different.
Shera rest for two days before she departs in the island accompanied by Juro.
"Young miss we are here already" Juro said while going down in the car an opened the car door to her side.
Her family wasn't aware the she will return today.
"Thank you Juro" Shera replied while going down in the car.
After they arrived at the airport they directly go to her house without telling her family about it. The car stopped at the gate of the house. Still her family is living in a simple subdivision. She also brought ordinary car so as not to attract too much attention.
When the security see Shera came out of the car he greeted her and call the people inside the house.
The first she see is her mother going outside of the house and her brother following her.
"Shera is that really you?" said her mother while looking at her with tears in her eyes.
Shera smiles at her mother "Mother who do you think I am" she said sweetly.
"Oh! My baby daughter, mother misses you very much. You seem too skinny did those two old coots starved you" said her mother while hugging her tightly.
Shera laugh "Mother they take good care of me really well" she said to her mother.
"Sister you seem to become uglier this days. Men will avoid you when they see you" commented by her brother.
"Brother I brought a lot of newly developed medicine from the lab but I think you didn't want it" Shera said. She knows her brother is obsessed in creating medicines and every newly developed one of it is considered a treasure to him.
