Scorch Sanctuary [4]

Arya increased his grip on the spear and looked directly into the eyes of the boss monster.

The boss monster's eyes were filled with fury, as he too was looking directly into Arya's eye.

During this moment they both were standing in their place not moving, but not for long.

As this was the calm before the storm.

Then they moved, they sprinted towards each other and finally met in the center of the platform.

Kongscorch, the boss monster who was covered in his fire cloak pulled his hand backwards.

He lunged towards Arya and with full force, he punched straight towards Arya.

Arya, when he saw the boss's action of punching him, decided to counter it with a vertical strike.

So, as the punch arrived before him he made a vertical slash and slammed into the punch and struck into the cloak.

As he didn't pour much jiva in the attack, it only changed the trajectory of the punch, as it went a little downward.

Arya then using full power jumped.

As his spear was on the hand, piercing the fire cloak, he used it to his advantage as he entered a vertical circular motion with the fist as the center of the circle.

When he reached directly above the boss monster, he pushed the spear with his full power and his weight.

which caused the fist of the boss monster to touch the ground.

This sudden jerk caused the Beast to get disoriented a little and had to focus on gaining his balance back.

Arya who was in the air at this moment, pulled his spear upward in the air, and as he was going down due to gravity.

He thrusts his spear down directly at the Kongscorch's head, but before his spear could hurt the beast. The beast gained his balance and was able to move his head to the side and save his head.

Which caused the spear to pierce the shoulder of the boss monster, as the spear had a small amount of Jiva at the tip, Arya was able to wound this monster.

Then he used the same thing as before created a similar circular motion and landed, towards the back of the boss monster.

"Kooooooooonnnngg"

The boss monster, Kongscorch roared, as he was angry, very angry.

Why wouldn't he?! He got hurt two times by the same insect, which he thought he could kill in the blink of an eye.

And Now that same insect is fighting him and was even able to hurt him two times.

Then a change happened to the boss monster's cloak, the cloak that was covering his full body shifted to a few specific parts like his arms, legs, and torso.

'So, the second Phase starts now.'

Arya thought after seeing the transformation of the boss monster.

Arya learned about these phases in his book, it was mentioned there.

That is when the boss monster is either very low on health or when he is enraged, he enters his second phase, the 'Berserk Phase'.

In the second phase, as the name implies they act like a berserk as they completely stop caring about their defense and focus solely on offense, as they just go straight for the kill.

This was all according to Arya's plan, as he knew that with the cloak on he wouldn't be able to kill the boss monster, and would just tire himself trying to kill the monster and later get himself killed.

So, he thought of the plan to make the beast enter this state, where he would not focus on defense, and then Arya could kill the beast.

However, this was a double-edged sword, though he would have more chances of killing the beast.

But the same was true with him dying as the boss monster will have his all abilities other than defense enhanced at least 1.5 times.

Though this doesn't sound all that impressive, that's not the case as his strength, agility, stamina, etc all will increase by at least 1.5 times, so his overall ability and ability will be very high.

Arya knew this was a gamble, but this was the only way he had to kill the boss monster.

If he wants to fulfill his goals, then this is a necessary step he must take.

Arya then moved backward, towards the end of the platform.

And after reaching there, he waited for the beast to make a move.

The boss monster after completing his transformation, sprinted toward Arya with his claws in front of him to rip Arya to shreds.

As soon he reached the Arya, the boss monster did two horizontal slashes on Arya.

Arya who hadn't moved from his position since the start and was waiting while pouring his Jiva into his spear, moved!

But he did something unexpected.

He lied down which caused the claw to miss him, then he rotated himself to lie on his back and attacked the boss monster on his navel.

When the boss monster entered his second phase, the cloak from covering his full body to covering his torso, arms, and legs. So his stomach area was uncovered.

And Arya had already been filling his spear with his Jiva, so when the beast was upon him he acted.

The spear Pierced through the Kongscorch's navel and came from his back.

Arya as he was lying on the ground, pulled the spear towards himself. Which caused the spear that was inside his body to slash the monster's body down from his navel.

Though his stomach was Pierced, the boss wasn't dead, so he didn't care about the spear, he had one simple goal, which was to kill the human.

So the boss monster pulled his leg to stomp Arya, as he was just below him.

Arya noticing the boss monster didn't stop what he was doing.

Just as the foot of the boss monster was about to stomp him to death, it lost the force behind it.

Arya was just a second early, and was able to slash the boss monster's tail from the middle as it was the weakness of the race.

So, The boss monster died.

Arya after listening to the announcement, relaxed as his gamble paid off.

If he was even a second late, he would get quite injured due to the stomp as he had less than a quarter of his jiva left. He would have died under the boss monster.

But he won and killed the beast.

After resting for a while, Arya decided to find the reward of the dungeon.

But that was a secondary thing, as the things he wants is something else.

The thing that the protagonist of the book he had, 'Ishana' found by mistake.

The thing that will make even kingdoms start a war, even the world government will take drastic measures upon finding such a thing.
