Dungeon [1]

Arya and the rest of the party hunted for quite a time, Then Setanta suggested entering the inner level of the forest.

"Hey, what do you say?! , like with our strength we can easily hunt at the periphery of the inner level. And if it turns out to be dangerous, We can return."

After listening to his ideas, everyone thought that it would be a good idea to hunt, and if some situation arose they could come back.

Arya thought about the idea and agreed.

"Yeah, we should go." He replied

"Well, Don't worry I will protect everyone," Munda said jokingly while flexing his biceps, which caused everyone to laugh at his antics.

And so everyone agreed with going to the inner level.

So, they started heading towards the inner level.

They decided to hunt near the kobold habitat on the inner level.

Kobolds, are a monster with a height of around five feet, a Little bigger than goblins with brown skin, lizard-like faces, and sharp claws. They are one of the monsters that live at the periphery of the inner level 

After reaching the habitat they noticed a single kabold. But he was acting a little odd as he was looking around and checking if there was anyone.

After not finding anyone he went near a big tree, which was 5 m in diameter and had a length of 50 m to 60 m, it was one of the 'Ninna Tree', that can be found anywhere in the Forests.

After reaching the tree he pulled a root, which for some reason easily came out.

Then he entered the hole after he entered, The root went back into the hole.

Arya and others were shocked and if they hadn't seen this themselves they would have not believed it.

Setanta who was the party leader, turned towards everyone. His face had a surprising expression.

"I think I know what is down there?"Setanta said to everyone 

"It must be their house or nest Right?!"Anaya asked him.

Setanta denied her and Said.

"No, I think there's a dungeon down there."

This caused everyone to get even more shocked.

"How can you tell that?!!" Munda asked him excitedly.

"Well you know five years ago one of the people, who was in the trial at that time also found a dungeon, when I was in my first year he was in the last year, and I was able to join his party. Back then he told me that he found the dungeon in a cave, So I think this might be a similar situation where the dungeon is underground."

Everyone after listening to him nodded as if it happened before it could happen again.

"Though I can be wrong it can be just a nest, though we can still go and check for ourselves. As I didn't think we would have any loss, no matter the situation."

After the discussion, they decided to enter the place. After reaching the place Munda pulled the root, and it easily came out.

After the underground tunnel opened, Munda decided to jump first as he was the tank he could protect himself if needed, Arya in second place.

After Munda jumped, Arya followed him then Setanta after him.

 Anaya and Muniya followed suit.

After reaching the underground chamber, the party noticed it was dimly lit with some unknown light that was coming from one end of the tunnel.

"We don't know what we found at the end of this tunnel, we should walk in a formation. As if any situation arises we can respond to it." Setanta said that to everyone.

Everyone agreed with him and formed a diamond-shaped formation with, Munda at the front, and Arya just behind him. Following Arya were the Archers, Setanta, and Muniya while at the end was Anaya. 

This formation allows them to take action in any situation. After making the formation they started heading towards the side where the light was coming from.

After walking for a while they noticed an open chamber, where in the middle was a spiral that was emitting the light, That was the source of the lighting in the tunnel.

After looking at that circular hole everyone was shocked as this matches the description of dungeons from the book they studied, even Arya after knowing about the dungeon from Setanta got shocked that they found a dungeon.

"Hahahaha, Jackpot, Guys we hit a jackpot."

Setanta started laughing after seeing the dungeon.

Before they could have celebrated, Anaya who was standing at the back noticed something jumped towards Munda.

"Munda, Dodge." She screened

Luckily Munda had his shield ready from the beginning so he was able to cover him, and something crashed into his shield making him slide on the floor.

Everyone who was shocked at this noticed the thing that had crashed into Munda.

Brown skin, Sharp claws, lizard-like face with a height reaching just five feet. It was the same kobold they saw in the beginning.

It's good that Anaya and Munda were able to take action, as just now their naiveness, and greed they had after finding the dungeon could have caused them one of their party members.

This will be a big lesson for all of their future endeavors.

After noticing the kobold, Arya rushed towards him with his spear. While shouting,

"Setanta, Muniya provide me cover."

Setanta who already had his bow ready to attack fired a few shots at the kabold causing the monster to jump back. While he was in the middle of his jump. Arya attacked from below as he was in the air and couldn't Dodge.

These actions from Arya and Setanta caused others to come out of their trance and take action. Muniya too took out her bow and aimed at the Kabold, while Anaya rushed toward Munda to check on him 

Arya thrust his spear at the kobold's stomach, but it just caused a small wound that was not even an inch deep. But this attack caused the kobold to lose balance.

Setanta and Muniya who were ready, shot their arrows at the moment.

The arrow shot by Setanta hit the same mark Arya created, while Muniya attacked the joint at the knee.

This caused the kobold to bleed as well as lose balance once he landed. 

*Ka*

The kobold cried due to pain

Just as he landed, one of his legs touched the ground. Arya shot his spear directly into the kobold's mouth that he opened. He used his full strength and pierced his neck from the inside out and killed the kobold.

*Huff*

Though the fight was short it was very tiring and made all of them feel exhausted.

After calming their breathing they went towards Munda and Anaya to check on him.

Munda had a dislocation of his shoulder and a few minor scratches.

"Are you OK, Munda?!" They asked.

"Yeah, I am fine with just a few little scratches."

Munda replied while smiling but everyone could see the pain he was feeling.

"I am really sorry, Munda!"Setanta apologizes while bowing to Munda.

"No-No it's not your fault!!" Munda said why making Setanta straighten up.

"No, I am the Leader and Older than you all, so I should have thought of something like this as we found this dungeon due to that kobold," Setanta explained his reason then.

"What should we do now?!"Anaya asked everyone.

As they can't go inside the dungeon without their tank.

"I think we should rest for a while in the mid-level then come back tomorrow," Arya suggested as though they could go back but there was a chance that someone else would find this dungeon.

"Well, I think we should do this." Setanta agreed with Arya's proposal.

After that everyone agreed and decided to rest they went back to the tunnel Setanta took Munda on his back while Arya helped him climb.

After exiting the underground tunnel they went to the mid-level of the forest and created a makeshift camp as it was already night, they then decided to take a regular night shift to watch.

What they didn't know was that two different groups got to know about their actions.
