The beginning of the end.

A young man around 18-20 was sitting alone on his bed as he put on his VR helmet, and quickly closed his eyes.

His name was Zane Cane, he was an orphan that was abandoned by his family when he was younger. Since then he has grown up to be a young relatively handsome man with blue eyes and messy dark brown hair, he was also about 6'3.

Since Zane could think he was always a fan of games, and now with the arrival

of the most hyped game of the decade if not even century, he had no other choice but to sacrifice some of his money to get his hands on a copy of Kingdoms Adventure.

Zane was hyped, but not only for the game, no he was especially hyped about one of the few features the game had.

The in-game currency could be converted to real-life money.

Zane was excited.

As Zane opened his eyes he found himself again in a bright empty room in front of him he found a piece of paper.

He just shrugged it off and walked towards the floating piece of paper. The paper then glowed as suddenly he found himself floating in the air in front of a gigantic tree.

"There are people who aspire to be a king, there are also people who aspire to be adventures, and there are even more people who aspire to be heroes.

Will you become one of them ?"

However, before he could even think about it, a digital panel opened in front of him.

"Pre stats ? I see..." Zane thought for a while, however, he then did something no one would ever do... well probably.

"My whole life I was unlucky. Let's gamble!" With a smile, Zane then clicked on the start button.

In the blink of an eye, he found himself amid a cave, the cave was dark, cold, and deep.

Zane just looked around and could barely even see.

"Y'all be joking right?" Zane couldn't help but sit down in disbelief.

"I mean its not I have many other options huh..." Zane claimed the territory while looking around, he really couldn't help but sigh in disbelief.

"Even in games I am still unlucky, fuck my life." Zane said to himself, as he sat down and closed his eyes, trying to not rage quit.

One must know that KA (Kingdom Adventure) is a game about kingdom conquering/building, though the main focus was to conquer others' territory, no one had to.

You could do whatever you want, in the beginning, you are spawning in a random territory based on your stats, for example, when u invested a bit in fate and agility you could have ended up in a territory filled with monsters you have to sneak on to kill, also these monsters would drop items like a dagger. Thus one could become an assassin.

That was one of the other features that made KA so successful - hyped about. You can't just select a class that everyone thinks is op, no you would be given a class according to your stats. Of course, every class would be unique, and they could even be obtained by missions, etc.

Therefore Zane was not just mad, he was frustrated. However, he didn't let himself down, got up and just walked for a bit.

Though it was extremely dark he could still see some things on the ground, in case there was something he could either find or trip over.

As he continued to walk, 1 minute later he felt a change.

"Getting warmer ?" Out of the blue, it got warm and Zane was not prepared for what happened next...

In the seeming nothingness where Zane was, several light cubes appeared in a line, guiding him.

Zane widened his eyes as he followed the light cubes silently, always watching back, being for a bit in the dark made him quite paranoid.

"Where am I going, dude..." He was already following these lights for probably a good 8 minutes. But he couldn't help but just keep following, in the end, he had nothing to do anyway.

"This getting kinda ridiculous..." Zane then said himself while feeling a bit exhausted.

"Thats already a good 15 minutes!" Zane was baffled and suddenly he was frozen, he couldn't move...

BANG!

The darkness that was there the whole time simply broke and a bright radiant light was shining. An identity with hundreds of wings appeared in front of Zane, and then it spoke.

"You the one who did not desire, the one who simply relied on his luck. The one who will break even fate, the legend among monsters, the king of all kings.

I shall grant you the power that is appropriate for you.

I shall grant you your territory.

I shall grant you your kingdom.

I shall grant you your heaven.

I shall grant you everything.

I shall grant you everything that is appropriate for someone like you.

Someone who will conquer everything.

A deity."
