Chapter 40: The Hunt

They stood at the periphery of the forest, tension in the air, waiting for the signal to start the assessment. Valeron stood facing his team, "We're about to begin, hopefully our preparations will be enough, lets move out". They all nod and prepare themselves mentally for the task ahead.

A loud buzzer resounds throughout the forest, and they sprint into it, after crossing a barrier, they are transported into a verdant world filled with colorful and vibrant greenery and fauna, towering trees and rushing streams, they could even hear the distant roars of beasts.

Giving them a signal with his hands, Valeron ran ahead of the team, climbing a tree with unnatural agility, swinging and sprinting across tree branches with the grace of a monkey, he climbed to the tallest tree he could find and looked for a clearing where they could establish a campsite.
