Fairy Palace Sect

The next couple of Days passed without any issue with the hunters or in the city, but Sam was disappointed with the amount of points earned from the hunting group. Although they get more points for killing the beasts, they have to be careful making sure they don't get surrounded.

But Sam started to get bored staying inside of the inn and decided to go out and travel in the city. He now had thousands of gold coins which is the same amount that a large mercenary group would earn in a year.

Walking down the streets Sam enjoyed listening to the noise of the crowds, it reminded him of the large cities in his old life.

Sam wasn't wearing the makeshift cloak but rather a bright red robe that his clone had purchased the night before. He looked like a small prince walking along streets with the masked golden robed clone following behind him.

His distinct handsome features caused the large crowds to focus on him and whisper.

''What family is he from?''

''Is he the heir to a sect?''

Sam ignored the talking and continued to look around the city, occasionally ordering his clone to walk to food stalls to buy various snacks.

''Out of the way''

Sam heard a loud shout at the end of the street and a majestic blue carriage pulled by two Rank 2 beasts was being pulled down the street.

The man who shouted was a driver and a rank 5 warrior. Being able to have a driver who was Rank 5 in a small place like this is enough to show the status of the person inside the carriage.

''Stop''

Suddenly an ethereal voice came out of the carriage, anyone who hears it willingly sinks deeper and deeper into it.

Sam saw that the carriage had stopped beside him.

He noticed in front of the carriage a small child a little younger than his predecessor had fallen and was almost crushed by the beasts pulling the carriage.

''That's the Saint of the Fairy palace sect''

Sam heard an exclamation from the side.

He'd found some information in the last couple of days about the sects that will be showing up to the auction.

The Fairy Palace sect only recruits female disciples and it's rumoured it has an ancestor above Rank 15, and its current sect master is already a Rank 10 warrior.

The Saint of the sect is a known genius and is already a Rank 5 warrior at 17 years old. It might not seem that good compared to Sam but considering that most people start practicing at the age of 12, it is already incredible to be able to reach that strength at a young age.

But the more reputable thing about the Saint is her personality and actions. She is known as a virtuous and caring person, she has stepped in multiple times when seeing powerful people bullying helpless ordinary civilians. This has made her a loved character in the surrounding cities and sects and also the goddess of a lot of genius' dreams.

The carriage quickly moved on after the boy moved out of the way and Sam looked appreciatively at the back of the carriage.

However he didn't know that inside the carriage the Saint was discussing him.

Three people sat inside the carriage, one had their face covered with a blue veil with a figure with perfect curves worthy of being classed as a goddess. And opposite the Saint sat a beautiful woman and a figure covered in a black cloak. One was the Saints maid and the other was the elder of the fairy palace sect sent to protect her during this auction.

''Elder can you see through the fact of that cloaked man?'' Ceilia, the Saint, asked the elder sitting in front of her.

''No there was something blocking my spiritual power, either he is stronger than me or that mask is made out of weird materials.'' The elder replied in a light voice.

At this point Lucy the last girl in the carriage, couldn't help but speak out.

''Was there something weird about those two people?'' She asked with a curious expression on her face

''That boy isn't simple, he is able to have such a strong guard around him and I don't recognise him from any sects'' Ceilia replied to the maid.

Sam finally returned to the inn unaware of the conversation that was based on him.

He purposefully left quickly to avoid being involved with the Saint. He didn't have the strength to face a sect of that strength yet.

The only real chance for Sam to get a higher ranking summon right now is through upgrading his clones or missions in the future.

After returning to his inn Sam decided after some hesitation to buy his house in the city. He has quite a lot of money now and there might be a lot of subordinates summoned here in the future.

Rather than leaving himself Sam sent out his Clone to go find a house to buy. After more than an hour of waiting his Clone finally purchased a small courtyard in the poorer areas of the city. It cost less than 10,000 gold. Sam chose that area as there is a smaller chance of a strong man walking past.

When Sam arrived at the courtyard he saw a small run down house in the center with a small concrete entrance and a training ground behind. The furniture within the house was damaged but that wasn't Sam's first priority.

Rather as a magician he had the ability to manipulate the soil beneath his feet.

''Soil Manipulation'' Sam chanted,

Beneath his feet the soil squirmed like worms and moved aside forming a gradual hole leading straight down. He moved the rocks beneath the ground to form a gradual staircase into a barren earthly room.

However it wasn't a quick process, it took Sam nearly three more days before he had finally formed a livable room with exquisite furniture that Sam had sent his clone out to purchase with the only remaining attendants left here.

After the transformation it formed two large rooms beneath the courtyard. One room was for Sam's subordinates to stay and the other was his living room. The main intention of this underground area was to keep Sam safer and to avoid people finding out how many subordinates he actually has.

However what made Sam the most excited was the constant system notifications that the hunting group produced.
