Bonus Chapter

In the solitude of my room, I relaxed laying on the bed, as my shopping bags lay on the chair, some of them on the floor.

It was a long day.

I have never been out like this, doing whatever I want, it was exhausting but also satisfactory.

Sleep was quick to grip me in its claws.

When I woke up again, it was the middle of the night. I stretched as my stomach growled in hunger.

The room was illuminated by the witch lights hanging in the scones on the walls.

I walked rubbing sleep from my eyes, searching for something to eat.

I found a bowl of fruits which was placed in the middle of the room.

It was a good thing that the maids are afraid of Artemis or I would have been starved to death here.

as i stepped towards it.

I stepped on something soft, a screech sounded as a small figure flew into the air, growling.

I jumped back in fear.

It was a cat.

It was as black as night, my sleep-filled eyes thought it was a shadow.

"I am sorry, little one." I stepped towards it, it backed away from me growling in anger.

"I didn't see you there." I moved towards it again, it ran jumping on the shelf and another, then jumping on top of the bookcase it sat, watching me with judgmental eyes.

"How did you get into the room?" I asked it. It turned its face away from me, giving me a side-eye.

maybe it climbed through the window.

It was a beautiful cat. with golden eyes, and sleek black fur. There seem to be a lot of creatures running around in the palace.

Biting into the apple, arranged the things I brought on my side of the room, examining each of them again to make sure I didn't forget anything.

As I went through them, my mind wandered to a white-haired figure.

"kalo" I don't know but I never imagined him to be kalo. It is a common name amongst the people.

I went to the shelves filled with books, running my finger along the spine of the books I debated which one should I read.

I can sense the cat's gaze watching my every move. I ignored it, taking a book with me.

I find solace among the pages of my beloved books. wish I had them with me.

Here the options were limited to spell books or legends and myths.

Choosing a book that looked interesting I sat comfortably in a plush armchair, her fingers delicately turning the pages as my mind delved into the depths of fantastical worlds.

My eyes sparkled with a mixture of wonder and concentration as I immersed myself in each carefully crafted sentence. The stories wove their magic around me, transporting me to distant lands and introducing me to characters who became as real to me as my own companions. I reveled in the power of words, the way they danced upon the pages, breathing life into the imaginings of those who penned them.

Time seemed to stand still as I turned the pages, my mind a canvas upon which stories unfolded. The world outside the tower faded away, replaced by the vivid landscapes and vivid characters that sprang to life within the pages.

The flickering candlelight cast a warm and gentle glow, casting a soft halo around me as I sat absorbed in my literary haven.

The stories are more than mere words on a page; they are teachers, mentors, and companions. They whispered wisdom and breathed life into my dreams, shaping my perceptions and inspiring me to embrace the power within myself.
