In the next few minutes, more and more people went to the medbay to greet Kylo.
There were several soldiers he worked with, many asking about the state of the Capitol Base. They were also expressing their admiration for how he, a Major, took helm above the higher ranked people in there.
And then there was his sister, Olivia, who ran to him with flowing tears and a runny nose.
"It's so happy to see you again…" sobs. "If only you found a girlfriend before all this insanity began *sobs*"
Kylo's lips twitched and only patted his sister's back. Eventually, the woman calmed and separated from him, but her nagging continued.
He only nodded blankly, but his mind was already elsewhere, wondering when Khalifa would arrive to greet him.
Fortunately, he didn't have to wonder for too long, as the door opened soon after, revealing the figure he had been dreaming about every night.
