“We still want to be roommates,” I told Ms. Julie at breakfast a few days later. The castle was beautiful but so boring when I knew there was a party almost every night on campus.
When my uncle learned about what happened on campus, he gave strict instructions for my security to be front and center everywhere I went until the guilty party was caught. The first few days were hard to get through. Everyone on campus knew what happened and I kept trying to see if anyone I saw looked guilty.
But, after a few days, it got old. I wanted things to return to normal so I could move back to campus to be able to hang out and live with Tessa again.
“Alpha Cole is letting his sister back on campus?” Ms. Julie questioned as I sat across from her at the dining table. I shook my head.
“Your uncle has decided to put a halt to his travel until the school answers for its serious lapse in security,” she said. “Until we know who did this it’s classes, practice and back to the castle.”
