Prologue: Calm before the storm

'Shim...~trk Shimo, I found the last found location of your team,'

'The location is suspected to be an old ruin,It is most probably also highly guarded by troops, There are multiple reports of sightings of combat troops and outposts surrounding that area.'

"Yes, several outposts are present, but the enemy combatants are full of amateurs."

'WHaT, you Piece Of Shit!! I and Skoll are already taking huge risks in helping you.'

'You....! Are you even listening? You are not even a general now, what you are doing now is illegal'.

"Nothing matters, Nothing matters to me anymore."

"I destroyed all the outposts except for the frontal and rear outposts."

'Shimo, Listen to me carefully! Don't, I repeat don't engage with the enemy without us.Skoll and my troops are enroute to the ruins.'

ETA 23 mins,

"Meet me at the rear outpost".

'Damn it! Are you even listening?'

In the truck loaded with veteran soldiers,

'Shiiit', said in a frustrated tone by one of the higher ranking generals.

'What is he doing?', was said in a strong and slow tone by another general.

'What Else, Destroying more evidence'. Answered the frustrated general.

Near the rear outpost,

One of the gatekeepers questioned the other,'What are we even guarding? The boss left a few days ago'.

'Don't ask me, just do what you are paid to do'.answered the other gatekeeper.

'Ahh, whatever',replied in a letdown voice.

While the guard was replying , a man reeking with bloodlust and hatred was approaching them.

He was walking straight towards them, while unsheathing his blade.

'What the ...' The gatekeeper noticed him walking towards and shouted , 'Intruder'.

The gatekeepers panickedly readied their weapons, As the gatekeepers were arming themselves.

The man lunged towards them , and the unsheathed blade severed one of the gatekeepers arms.Then the man immediately sliced the head of the other gatekeeper.

The other gatekeeper was frozen in fear. He was so shocked , That he didn't even feel that his wrist was slashed off.As soon as he realized and came back to his senses, His head flew off.

As he drifted to the netherworld, He saw the man go into a frenzy and massacred his fellow colleagues.Soon, The gatekeeper left the world with his eyes open in front of the mountain of corpses of his colleagues.

ETA 10 mins,

The truck filled veteran soldiers entered the rear outpost,

'Holy shit',shouted a veteran soldier, shocked at the state of the outpost.

The entire camp was dyed with the color red , with several corpses diced to pieces. Even the veteran soldiers who were strong towards these kinds of things felt nauseous seeing the state of the outpost.

Seeing the corpse, one of the generals walked rushedly while searching for someone, When he saw a man leaning near the entrance of the ruin.

'Are you out of your mind?' shouted the general towards the man who painted this massacre.

"They deserved it",replied the man in a cold tone.

"Deserved, bullshit, Even our troops are feeling pity towards them. Is this what they deserve?", replied the general with a more angrier tone.

As they were arguing, the troops reached towards them. While seeing this the man said, "Let's go in".

ETA 8 mins,

The troop marched in the ruins with the frontline being the man and two generals.They explored the ruins cautiously until,

'The ruin looks abandoned' said a soldier.

ETA 6 mins,

After the comment from the soldier, everyone started exploring the ruin more relaxedly and with less caution.

They soon reached a heavy door which looked like a door leading to the big room. One of the generals transformed into a wolf and lunged on the door. The door shattered into pieces, Opening the path to the room.

ETA 3 mins,

"Why is it abandoned?",shouted the man.

"Why?"the man shouted again.

'Maybe they left as soon as they lost contact with outposts', replied one of the generals in a sarcastic tone.

ETA 2 mins,

' We can salvage some of the information as they might have left in a hurry ', said the other general with a bunch of documents in his hand.

The general started reading the documents and remaining troops ravaged the place in search of more information.

ETA 1 mins,

'General, come here and see this', shouted a soldier from the bottom of his lungs pointing in some direction .

The general and man walked towards the soldier,The general inquired, 'What is it?'.

'This was left in a glass case.' answered the soldier.

"What is it?" asked the man to the general.

'It's a katana,' replied the general.
