"The red kryptonite has been safely secured and is placed within the impenetrable boundaries of the Watchtower Archive. I have personally taken measures to conceal it within the confinements of the mother box force fields." Cyborg gave his daily report and say back down waiting for Batman to take over.

"Now that this is out of the way, give me the status reports of your cities quick and get this over with. Superman?" Spoke Batman, standing tall facing the Justice League.

"Luthor has been apprehended but what concerns me is that he was not alone, the last red Kryptonite was shattered by Diana herself years ago. I suspect other forces at work here. The aerial inspection I did not bring anything up. I'll look into it further" Superman said with a contemplative look, his arms in a cast and face full of bruises. One of his eyes was badly bruised with a medical bandage covering his head which glowed blue with the amazonian medicinal herbs that were used to treat his injuries.

"Wonder Woman?" Batman asked her next.

"I suspect Cheetah & Felix Faust has a hand in this as well, last night Yara had an unexpected encounter with him in Rio where he was on a heist for the nightmare stone, turns out it was just a ruse to keep Yara away from the actual artifact they were stealing. His summoned minions stole the Golden Apple of Hespera. Cheetah was apprehended but Faust got away." Diana gave her share, looking over the room to see Captain Marvel looking at her horrified.

"Anything to add Billy?" Batman turned his attention towards the young champion.

"Na, nothing particular. Philly has been been stable for quite a while now. It's honestly a little unsettling. But that's not- wait, The Golden Apple of Hespera being stolen is not some small thing. The apple alone is nearly as powerful as the three mother boxes in unity." Spoke Captain Marvel, garnering the attention of everyone present. He sat there in a condition no less worse than Superman himself. His wrist was had been completely shattered a few hours ago in his fight with a rage addled Superman. His face bruised black and blue but healing quickly thanks to the amazon's medical care and the power of zeus.

They saw Batman's expression darken and Wonder Woman look more unsettled than she already was.

"So the whole ass Legion of Doom might be upto something huh? John was going on about Atrocitus being sighted leaving Earth a few days back. Jessica and him are trailing their foots prints as we speak though" added Green Lantern Kyle Rayner, who had recently given up the White Lantern ring, the utmost powerful cosmic weapon throughout the multiverse back to the Guardian's to be kept safe.

"There is a high chance of that being the case Rayner. Flash currently is busy navigating Thawne's disappearance from the scene so it is safe to conclude that it was not just Luthor & Thawne. The whole Legion is up to something & we have to find out what." Batman spoke as he walked off to the Zeta Tube, setting the location to Gotham as he left.

"Well I think this sums up today's meeting. Clark's injuries would be gone within a few minutes & Billy just needs to say a word. Good job guys, you all can leave. I'm on monitor duty tonight." Victor ended the purpose of the gathering as he flew over to the control room.

Green Lantern followed his exit as well, leaving behind only Diana, Clark and Billy. Diana looked over the two of them, seeing as they both looked away from each other with pouty and annoyed faces. She clicked her tongue "Tsk! Grow up you two & play nice while I'm gone." And with this Wonder Woman was gone too.

Superman tried to say something but Marvel didn't waste a second and closed his eyes, with a bright glow of his thunderbolt logo he teleported right in front of the sun. Forgetting that that's where Superman came to heal.

"Bill please listen, I know we are both mad about this but I'm sorry okay? I was not in my senses" Superman apologized as he placed a hand on Marvel's shoulder.

"I-i know Supes, I know. It's just is this all I am meant to be? A contingency plan to you? Please don't be offended but I-I don't know Clark. Why do I even have these powers when it's a known fact that magic has been sleeping for more than a millennia now. Why am I even magic's herald when what we see is nothing but the residuals of magic. I know you don't like magic, obviously look at yourself but man! What even is the point of Captain Marvel even existing when there is no need of him. I would've just been regular ol' Billy doing normal stuff. What's even the fucking point?" Captain Marvel spoke, a little sad and a lot annoyed.

Superman wasn't expecting such a deep rant from his mightiest comrade, this did make him think of all the times when he had been forced to go rogue & it was more than always just Billy, a kid who was sent to bring him down. "Bill Language! And see, I-I don't know magic, I don't understand it. Do I find it really annoying? Yes. I mean it completely bypasses my defenses but that's not the point here. Everything & everyone exists for a reason okay and being a contingency plan for someone else is never that reason. Like even I could say the same because I am gonna have to be the one to put you down when you go off, like the whole Pandora's box fiasco. There are deeper meanings for why people exist & finding that meaning is difficult and I won't lie to you when I say that those meanings can usually be a bit too gritty." Superman spoke, a humble look on his face while he talked to Marvel. Fatherly warmth radiating off of him.

"I hope so" was all that Billy spoke.

"Son, you say magic is sleeping and you are it's herald, champion, guardian or whatever but then shouldn't you be glad it's sleeping? Given your role, if it were to ever wake up then are you sure you will be able to tackle all the responsibilities, the god knows what kinds of threats alone while also preparing for MIT, taking care of your siblings and working at Whiz? Cleverly reasoned the Man of Steel that earned a slight chuckle from the World's Mightiest Mortal.

"I- hah- I can try" Billy spoke, his eyes fixed on the sun.

"Well, take your time and get back home soon. We'll see you tomorrow at your graduation okay and once again, thanks for stopping me again Cap" Clark gave Billy a brotherly hug as flew back to Metropolis, disappearing in a blue and red blur.

Billy took a deep breath and turned around, this time facing the Earth. He just stood there in the vacuum of space for a few more minimal before teleporting himself back to an alley near his studio apartment.

The Tower of Fate:

Zatanna got up from the table all the sentinels of magic were having the meeting on. "So it really has started huh? He is coming back to the from the fiction he was banished to?" She said.

"Yes." Spoke Dr. Fate, as cryptic as ever.

"And just how in bloody hell are we supposed to stop that ancient fuck? Care to explain how Dr. Cryptic-Fucking-Mysteries? How do you propose we end him with the only one capable of stopping him, that blasted old wizard being dead as dust." John Constantine snarly retorted, lighting another cigarette.

"We need the champion" spoke Nelson.

" He's just a kid, Fate." Spoke Ragman.

"It's time he takes on the mantle once and for all. The war is fated to be lost without the champion of magic. He has no other option. It's his-" Fate continued only to be cut short by Zatanna.

"Yeah yeah. It's his fate, we know the drill. But still, he's just a kid" Zatanna spoke sharply, with concern and irritation lacing her voice.

"Fate! You won't talk to Billy. You'll just freak the poor sod out. Me and Zee will do the talking. It's his graduation tomorrow so whatever the fuck it is, it will be done on the day after." Constantine spoke with finality as he opened a fire-y portal through which he walked away.
