The sunlight entered the window.
" You fight semi-special grade curse. " Panda said.
" It was not a fight. I lose. " Ray explained, " But I got a new interesting thing from that fight. "
Maki interpreted the conversation, " Gojo forced you to join the school right? He has been weird for a while. He approached me and Toge with that creepy smile. "
Toge nodded. " Salmon. "
Ray sighed. ' I don't I can handle this group. They are a lot more talkative than I expected. '
" I have no problem with Gojo since he can make me strong. " Ray said. " I don't even know what jujutsu sorcerers are in the first place. "
Maki's eyes gleamed. " You are so lucky. "
Ray tilted his head and asked. " Why? "
Panda explained, " Most jujutsu sorcerers are not friendly. If you live a normal life then, it's great. Jujutsu sorcerer life is not good. "
Toge also nodded. He had been listening and nodding the whole time. Which makes Ray uncomfortable but he quickly adjusts to the weirdness. He was also used to talking panda as well. A freaking panda.
" So why are you guys enrolled on this school? " Ray asked. He knew his motivation. They would be his teammates and he didn't want any half-ass person in his team.
Because without ambition, that person would slack off and drag the team with him. That is what he thought. If I want to join the team, that team must have the same kind of mindset as me.
A bit selfish to expect everyone to fall into his image but that is who he is. He is a selfish person.
Maki was the first to break the ice. " For me, I want to prove myself. That's all. "
But in those words, Ray sensed hatred.
" I am a panda so I don't need that kind of thing. "
Ray laughed. A perfect answer.
Toge just told Ray some ingredients and called it a day. He looked happy with his eyes shining with a grin.
Maki and Panda encouraged Toge. So Ray went along with them. ' Man, I need to understand what he is talking about. '
The door opened and Gojo walked inside. He was smiling and looked like he was in a good mood.
He slapped the chalkboard. " We are late. We should have started the lesson an hour ago. "
Maki supported her head with her left hand and rolled her eyes. " And whose fault is that? "
"We don't discuss further that subject. " Gojo took a chalk and wrote some words.
" What is the most important thing aspect of a sorcerer? " Gojo asked.
" Strength. " Maki answered with a cold tone. It was almost as if she knew the answer. There was no hesitation in her words.
Gojo nodded seriously. " I am the strongest so I don't know what the weak feel. And I am not arrogant enough to ignore the weak. "
" That is why I want you guys to reach the place I am standing. " Gojo said.
" Now, the lessons start with basic cursed energy manipulation. I will explain the best I can. "
He then looked at Maki and said. " You need to listen as well. Knowing your opponent is almost as important as your strength. "
" Well, then the lesson began. "

One month had passed.
Ray had learned a lot in that short amount of time. He had refined his cursed energy effectively. Barrier techniques were the ones he struggled with the most.
Complex numbers of cursed energy movements and the amount of things that needed to flow. Paired with the ever-changing structures regarding the surroundings, made his brain fried.
And for the reverse cursed technique, he had no clues. He asked Shoko for an idea but she sucked at explaining.
The same goes for Gojo. But his explanation had guided him for Ray's vision against a new cursed technique. He found a way to combine Bungee Gum and a sharp curse energy trait.
Combining was the key part of positive energy but he didn't know how to combine the negative two. Ray asked how he managed to do the reverse curse technique, and Gojo said he didn't know either.
' It is instinct and desperate attempt. Luck was on my side. ' His voice was a bit shaky. Just a tiny bit.
Right now, Ray was waiting for Maki on the street. Gojo said they were qualified for the first mission. However, the students will be split into two groups.
Ray and Maki had a job to exorcise curses in the Hospital. They didn't know where but Ichiji probably going to pick them up.
Waiting on the sideline, Ray noticed fewer curses on the street. ' Maybe Geto was taking all the curses. And Gojo had been busy lately. He must be finding Yuta or something like that. '
" Ray. "
He turned toward the source. Maki was walking toward him. On her back was a long staff covered in a very thick cloak. If you only take a glance at this you would think she was just carrying a guitar.
" Sorry. Some stuff happened on the road. "
Ray shook his head, " Don't worry. I just got here as well. " He arrived one hour earlier. Ray had a weird sense of love in waiting. Like how some people love the rain, he loves the feeling of waiting.
He grabbed the staff. Maki hated carrying weapons.
" Gojo said this mission is equal to grade 2. " Maki said.
" Oh. Are you scared? " Ray joked.
To which, Maki pinched at his side. " Ouch! "
" I am just informing you. " She grimaced.
" I know. I know. Look. Ichiji arrive! "
The black car stopped in front of him and the window rolled down. " Kids. "

This chapter is short. I wanted to expand the training section but I find it boring. So I will just show their skill set in the actual battle.
Thank you for reading.
And please give review as well.
