A Warning

Looking down into the volcano's entrance, Julian knew he was going to encounter something down there. All the signs till now have pointed towards future trouble that he is going to encounter.

The constant attacks from wild pokemons, the overabundance of their numbers. He could smell the trouble up ahead.

After Olivia and the geologist group entered the volcano, Julian followed closely behind while being very vigilant.

The geologist started to get to work as the younger members of the team started to collect some samples from the volcano's mouth while Julian and Olivia kept a close eye on them. They don't want anyone of them to just tumble down the volcano and fall into the boiling lava.

After collecting some samples, the group continued to make their way down deeper into the volcano, and the further they went, the hotter it started to get.

Julian, who is right behind the group, suddenly felt something and his suspicion increased.

The group stopped again to take some samples. Using this chance, Julian walked towards Olivia and asked her something very important.

Julian "Olivia, is there a totem den inside the volcano?"

Julian asked.

Olivia looked at Julian with confusion on her face. She wondered why Julian would think so.

Olivia "I don't know, no one has ever explored Wela volcano enough to know about each and every corner of it, as it is very dangerous down here. But there is one nearby, on the other side of the volcano. It's the trial ground trainers participate in to earn a z-crystal"

She answered.

Julian nodded and kept his thoughts to himself. Olivia was suspicious about this silence, but decided to keep it to herself as well.

Julian 'As I expected, there is a totem den down here that the locals have not found and I believe that those Cipher idiots might be behind what is going on right now.'

Julian thought, and continued following them. He just hopes that they don't encounter any Cipher members, as it could cause panic in the group.

If it was only him, Julian really wouldn't be bothered, but right now he is with a group and he is responsible for keeping them safe from any harm.

If push comes to shove, he will have to send them away and handle business by himself.

Suddenly, he heard a roar coming from right from the front, and it was not just him. The whole team heard it and they were startled by it. They were afraid of what it was as the roar shook them to their core.

Julian frowned. Just from the roar, he could tell that the pokemon was massive. He wondered if it was the totem pokemon. But then the question rises if Cipher has been here or not. If it really is the totem pokemon, there is no way Cipher is here or else they would have captured this totem pokemon.

Julian "Everyone, stay close, don't wander any further from us"

Julian instructed.

They have still not come across this pokemon, so it is best to stay together where Julian can keep them safe.

Olivia "Going any further would be dangerous, we should go back"

Olivia advised.

"But, we still haven't found the reason behind the sudden change of activity of the volcano"

One of the lead professors said.

Olivia then fell into deep thought. She knew what he said was right. They cannot just stop here now. If they stop, they will never know the reason behind the sudden changes in the volcano and then it will be too late for them to fix it.

Olivia then turned towards Julian with a questing look, wondering if he has something up his sleeve.

Julian "Let's continue. Whatever it is, I can handle it. I will send my pokemon up ahead to scout out if there is any danger in front"

Julian said and called out his Gengar. Gengar emerged out of his shadow and understood his assignment. The other people who were around him were surprised to see Gengar, as they never expected one to be right beside them and did not even know its existence.

Gengar then once again disappeared into the shadows and went deeper into the volcano. Being a ghost-type pokemon, he really isn't affected by the heat of this place. Though he would prefer to live in a cold place, it really doesn't matter to Gengar.

Gengar ventured deeper into the volcano and soon heard low and heavy breathing close by. He could already sense the pokemon, so he decided to give it a visit.

Gengar traveled through the shadows and arrived right in front of a massive sleeping pokemon, this pokemon was laid flat on its stomach with its head resting over its arms.

It seems to be having a very pleasant sleep, and it would be foolish to disturb it.

This pokemon is about seven feet tall from head to legs and if its tail is taken into consideration, it is even longer. It has a massive head and a very muscular body that supports it. Its claws are massive, its fangs are long and sharp.

Just its presence would be intimidating too many pokemons.

But Gengar isn't bothered, he has dealt with pokemon who are more vicious than this.

Gengar then looked around but found nothing special about this den. The pokemon in front of him looks like a totem pokemon, but this is not a totem den at all.

Gengar then returns to Julian to inform him of what he found.

As Julian and the group are waiting, Gengar once again comes out of the shadow, scaring a few of the surrounding people. He giggles at seeing this, then looks at Julian and tells him what he found.

Hearing Gengar, Julian understood something. The roar from before must have been a warning call for any pokemons in the area from approaching its den as it was about to rest.

But that is not his main concern. He learned from Gengar that the pokemon inside the den might be a totem pokemon, but the den it is resting in is not a totem den.

Julian then wondered if this totem pokemon escaped from Team Cipher after fighting back but he quickly dismissed of the idea as totem pokemons never abandon their den unless it is about to get killed and Julian knows that Cipher is not trying to kill these pokemons.

Julian 'Maybe I am looking too much into this. Maybe Cipher has nothing to do with it.'

Julian questioned himself, wondering if Cipher is really involved in this.
