Fleeting Wealth

Tang Yin crouched down beside the corpse of the female cultivator and took her ring, surprised delight immediately surfaced on his face when he inspected the contents within. Along with normal stuff, there were a staggering 29 Low-grade Spirit Stones. The space inside the storage ring was the biggest he had seen so far with around 30 cubic meters of space.

Tang Yin let out a wry laugh, the 3 main families within Maple Leaf City were too rich. Tang Yin did not delay any further, he sat down cross-legged beside the female corpse and activated his Martial Spirit.

The Heaven Devouring Abyss appeared behind him, 'Devour' Tang Yin excitedly commanded. The Heaven Devouring Abyss rapidly absorbed the: blood, flesh, bones, Martial Spirit and soul of the female cultivator without holding back.

BANG

A familiar bang reverberated inside of Tang Yin's body; he had broken through to the 8th stage of the Spirit Channelling Realm! He had done so without consuming a single Spirit Stone. He also felt strong, as if he had the strength to crush anyone in the Spirit Channelling Realm, which was probably true.

Tang Yin happily got up and left the cave, he had cleared out the second batch of cultivators that had arrived in the Demonic Beast Mountain and fallen into his trap.

Tang Yin knew that by now most of the families within Maple Leaf City would have found out that the rumour about herbs and materials appearing at the periphery of the Middle Ring in Demonic Beast Mountain was fake.

They would not send any more disciples and family members to obtain these nonexistent herbs and materials. Instead, they would investigate who had started this absurd rumour which had thrown Maple Leaf City into chaos for a few days.

Once the families found out that the disciples, they had sent into the Demonic Beast Mountain did not return, they would send powerful cultivators in the Physique Transformation Realm to investigate this matter thoroughly.

After all, this concerned the safety of seeds that had the potential to reach the Physique Transformation Realm in the future. The loss of even one such seed would be a devastating blow to the family's future, this was quite a serious matter.

Tang Yin could not stay in the Demonic Beast Mountain any longer. Otherwise, when powerful cultivators in the Physique Transformation Realm arrived and swept through the Middle Ring, he would for sure be found out. Since he was the only cultivator left in the Middle Ring, he would be detained and tortured for information and intel.

The only way to avoid this was to venture into the Inner Ring and somehow survive among the ferocious Rank 2 Demonic Beasts until the Physique Transformation Realm cultivator left, or to return to Maple Leaf City and lay low till everything had blown over.

Obviously, Tang Yin would choose the second option and return to Maple Leaf City. When the rays of the sunlight dawned upon the land, Tang Yin returned to Maple Leaf City.

He headed straight for Liu's Wine Inn. He had decided to stay in his room for a few days to sort out his loot and think about his future plans and a few other things.

No one had noticed Tang Yin's absence or his return, he wanted it to stay like this. Once Tang Yin entered his room, he locked his door. He moved the furniture in his room to one side of the room to make space and sat down on the floor cross-legged.

He brought out all the storage rings he had plundered, there were roughly around 130-140 storage rings. When he was within his cave abode, he had burned away all the extra things he did not need like clothes, food, bandages, mortal weapons and many other miscellaneous items. Another reason why he did this was because he did not want to leave any traces of the cultivators he had killed, lest they were traced back to him.

He brought out all the items within the 130+ storage rings in front of him, the Low-grade Spirit Stones immediately created a huge pile that occupied a corner of the room.

After spending some time counting the Spirit Stones, he concluded he had gained 548 Low-grade Spirit Stones, including his 7 Spirit Stones, it came up to a total of 555 Low-grade Spirit Stones.

Tang Yin was nearly 100% sure he was the wealthiest Spirit Channelling Realm cultivator in Maple Leaf City.

From the amount of Qi needed each time to advance to the next stage, Tang Yin had deduced that it would cost nearly all his Low-grade Spirit Stones that he had accumulated after killing 150+ cultivators and looting them. If he wanted to, Tang Yin could advance to the 9th stage of the Spirit Channelling Realm right now in one go, but he did not do so. The cost was simply too high, if he could not find another way to quickly advance to the 9th stage, he would resolve his heart and Devour the Spirit Stones.

Aside from a large amount of Low-grade Spirit Stones, Tang Yin brought out a few other items which he had not burned but had taken an interest in. One of the items was a large map of the Demonic Beast Mountain, the map included the entire Outer and Middle Ring of the mountain with a few parts of the Inner Ring also drawn.

This map would come in very handy for Tang Yin because he frequented the Demonic Beast Mountain a lot, with the map he would not have to run around blindly wasting time.

Apart from the map he had also obtained a card the size of his palm, inside of the card was a ticket. The writing on the ticket mentioned access to the Nie family auction. Tang Yin did not know of any auction, but he was interested. Therefore, he did not burn the card. Both the map and the ticket were obtained from the female cultivator he had killed from the second batch of cultivators.

The map of the Demonic Beast Mountain was very valuable, from this it could be seen how highly the elders of her family regarded her. The loss of the female cultivator would be a huge blow to the family. Once she disappeared, even the patriarch of the family would get involved in the investigation.

Tang Yin did not know which family the female cultivator came from, either way he did not care. If the female cultivator's family could find him, then they were welcome to try to kill him. He did not mind destroying an extra family along with the Shan family.

Aside from this, there was also a familiar jade box among the items, it contained the Spirit Adaption Pill. Tang Yin could still remember the effectiveness of the pill to this day, but he shook his head in longing.

When he was reading about Medicinal Pills in the Maple Leaf library, the Basics of Cultivation had mentioned the Sprit Adaptation Pill. This pill was very beneficial for Spirit Channelling Realm cultivators, but it had a limitation. The limitation was that it could only display its effect once on a cultivator, if the same cultivator took the Spirit Adaption Pill again, there would not be much effect.

However, the Spirit Adaption Pill could make all Spirit Channelling Realm cultivators go crazy for it. The pill could be sold at an astronomical price.

Tang Yin did not do anything rash, he looked for the storage ring with the highest capacity. The storage ring with the highest storage ring belonged to the female cultivator, she was simply too rich. Tang Yin could only let out a wry smile.

Once he found the storage ring, he stored away all his Spirit Stones, the map, the ticket and the jade box containing the Medicinal Pill. He then got up and arranged the furniture back to its original position.
