Its been weeks since the world ascended to the fourth dimension afficially, with what I've seen I feel that we can just be satisfied by staying like this though I hear wars like that will become frequent the more time goes on.

Already coming back from the midday class session, luke is one of the fortunate who were able to retreat back to a city wall before being devoured by an invalid, after finding out that the empire still stood a moment of reverence towards the royalty surfaced. Ever since he was a kid he has always find the empire's royalty to be something blessed to have at moment like this, he had stories of the world before the empire took over, it was chaotic and filled with corruption and animosity from different groups, with the empire uniting them there came a period of peace unknown and mantained till this day, being identified as a historian before one even understands what was going on in life some might bare grudge with the person who led life to be this methodical even luke was like that at some point in time but with a unique position in this empire to access information that is inaccessible to many of his age he came to understand and love what this empire has made it possible, with the lives of everyone accounted for sometimes he even wonders what the people thinking to overthrow this empire have in their minds, now watching as their empire continues to lead them faithfully in this tarbulent times he is filled with gratitude. After getting accounted for in entering the settlement, he learned about the preparations made for this new lifestyle, with combat being a must as a core skill needed in this occasion, one can document their index ability to the empire so that they can formulate and give one a job which one can maximize his usefulness while combining it with their abilities in the daily lives,though their is a new change, with the military one can join voluntarily and with those who survived till now and were designated to military before all this happened it is said that they can either join back or get a new occupation, most will go back to the military and new ones will join swelling the numbers in the army, this is because of the end goal of being a noble can only be possible through military achievements but its all but a distant dream for luke who decided not to chase it forgoing its tantalizing rewards of being a noble for the empire, as much as it looks like its not of importance, he believes that the way the empire assigns a future to someone can and must be the most convenient way to survive, with the new hotblooded youth thinking of the glory they can get that comes with the changing times luke surrendered to the safety of the settlement already satisfied with the carnage he escaped from while getting here with the aid of the empire's bracelet.

With everything going on and with the way the empires seems so prepared, one can even say its the moment its been waiting for, luke was too smart not to notice it but he believed that they would have fared much worse without the empire which seemed to have the nobles accounted for as luke sees them as the most significant threat to the royalties after watching the fight from the weeks before at the capital but with the attitude of the royalties, they seem not to matter much.

After getting asigned with a new occupation and with the boost he got with his previous occupation, he is relatively comfortable with the odds of living well soon enough and with the empire helping to find his parents he doesn't have that much to expect from this changing times, of it was before he might have gotten hotblooded and join the rest of his friends in the military and chase the elusive dream of being a noble but with the advent of the index ability his has something to do with probabilities, while feeding it information about the goings around him that he collects now almost instinctively he can see that his path in the military while being the most rewarding, it was also one full of unknowns and unsuitable for his growth meaning he can lose his life easily there with the odds considerably low and with his dulled emotions since the awekening of the index abilities he took the rational path of following the empire's guidelines which seemed the most promising path as they would value him highly and from the looks of it the nobles likely don't have direct access to his information or they have a wrong or twisted one given to by the empire for if they knew about his ability he would have already moved in the interior of the settlement, it seemed that the empire was already hiding him waiting for when everything is settled, though there was some changes in the way the empire reacted, either his worth was not as big or precious as he imagined or that the empire don't use the nobles much after the fight in the capital, I heard the palace didn't even shake from all the chaos outside its doors and not one assailant placed its foot inside but with the what he has learned from his comrades the later is the most likely ,his ability after activating had never stopped working, without his efforts it worked passively since then only straining him when he uses it actively unlike what he heard from his companions who came with him here and with it affecting him much severely already dulling his emotions to this extent of taking everything rationally he is confident with his conjunction about the empire. No its just a matter of surviving before seeing what his empire has in store for someone like him.
