22 - Date

[ Yasaka Shrine ]

[ Giyu and Kalawarner ]

Opening her eyes, Kalawarner found herself staring at an unfamiliar ceiling. Though she at least knew she was still in Kyoto if the traditional Japanese style room said anything by it. She was tucked in a futon. As she was about to panic a voice interrupted her.

" Oh, so you're awake Kala. Good morning" Came Giyu's voice next to her.

She turned her head to see Giyu in a futon next to hers, staring at her. " Oh Giyu, Good morning" She said. But a second later widened her eyes.

" Giyu!! WH-WHY ARE YOU HERE??!!! " She said in panic before she narrowed her eyes, her face red with a blush " D-did you do anything perverted to me? " She said.

" Haahahahaahahahahahhaha!!!!" Hearing her question made Giyu burst out laughing. Before he stopped but was still chuckling

"Hey why are you laughing?" Kalawarner said as she pouted

" Nothing, I just thought you're panicking face was cute and funny" Giyu said

" h-huh, i-is that so, but you didn't answer my question" Kalawarner said as she stuttered a little. Still sporting a huge blush as she heard him call her cute.

" Don't worry Kala, we didn't do anything last night. We were just in the same room because they wouldn't give us a second room. I was really tired so I didn't really care about it and just slept" Giyu said shamelessly explaining what happened last night. He didn't say that he could have separated the futons but chose not to.

" I-is that so" She said as she calmed down. " So why are we still in Kyoto, if we are finished with the mission? " Kala asked.

" Hn, they want to thank us for saving the youkai princess. At first it was going to be a banquet but now they are going to do a last minute festival " Giyu said.

" Oh that's right, how did we rescue the princess. Was it you or Karasu-maru? I remember I passed out. " she asked. She remembered that they really never got to free the youkai princess and only remembered the part where she fought. So it was surprising that they saved her but, when she thought about it she shouldn't be too surprised since it was Giyu.

" I saved her first before confronting the high class fallen angel. It seemed to be a misunderstanding on their part, they seemed to be good people but was manipulated into doing the crime. I already sent them to Azazel as they peacefully surrendered" Giyu stated as he explained to her what had happened on his end.

" Hmm okay, so what are we doing today? You said something about a festival. Is it today?" Kalawarner asked. She was a bit excited as she's never been to a Japanese festival before.

" I don't really know when but I'm sure they will inform us. As for today... do you want to go on a date? " Giyu asked after a pause. Although his face was pretty stoic there was still a bit of pink on his cheeks.

"A-A date? Like the ones c-couples do?" She asked expectently

"Yeah, the ones couples do " Giyu said as he nodded

" YES!-Uh ahem, I mean I would love to " She said as she gave him charming smile

After Kalawarner accepted they did what normal people tourists would do and thought for their date they should just tour around and sight see Kyoto.

" Wow, this looks beautiful" Kalawarner said as she examined her surroundings.

They were currently in the Kyoto bamboo forest. They had started with the bamboo forest since it would lead up to Inari temple which was located on top a mountain, instead of taking the stairs they thought they would rather enjoy a long walk with beautiful scenery since the destination was the same.

" Indeed it is very beautiful " Giyu said as he nodded. But he smirked a little that coupled with his looks made him look like a playboy. " But still, it's beauty can't compare to yours"

Kalawarner turned red for a second before she smiled and slapped Giyu on the back really hard "Thanks for the compliment, but you should really try to enjoy the scenery more" She said as for the past weeks to months she had lived with him he would give out compliments to her looks. At first they made her a blushing mess but she had learned to get used to it, although she still blushes a little since she enjoys the praise to her beauty.

They took a picture on the bamboo path way and headed to their next destination.

" Look I can see it from here! " Kalawarner said excitedly as she pointed to a direction. There were a small staircase that led up but the thing that was eye catching was the Tori gates that were now surrounding the staircase.

" Hn " Giyu nodded as he caught up with her. This was their next destination, Inari Temple. But to get to it they needed to first take the bamboo pathway then through the thousand Tori gates before making it to the actual Inari shrine.

" Woah! It looks so cool huh Giyu? " Kala asked as she admired the Tori gates

" Yeah it is " Giyu replied. He had to admit the bamboo forest was beautiful but passing through the path of the thousands of red tori gates somehow gave him a satisfying feeling.

" Let's take a picture here " Giyu said

" Huh? " Kala said as she tilted her head

" Something about this place is quite soothing and relaxing, let's remember it " He said as Kala nodded.

She was about to take a selfie with him while the pathway of tori gates were behind them when she suddenly felt Giyu wrap his hand around her waist and brought them closer.

"Kyaa " She said surprised at the sudden action of Giyu

But she didn't say anything after that as she enjoyed the warmth she suddenly felt from Giyu.

*snap * the sound of the camera sounded off as the cicadas sung in the background

From then on they traveled in relative silence but on their way to Inari shrine the duo held hand in hand through the remainder of the date.

(a/n: That is some lewd hand holding. I don't want anyone asking me for any r18 chaps for a while, it took me everything to write some uncensored hand holding action)
