Chapter Forty Nine

Rhoda's eyes were fixated on my face all through but I was so engrossed in the mysteries of the space within the storage ring that I paid no attention to her.

It wasn't until I raised my head to ask her my question that I noticed, it felt awkward.

"Cough" I had to make a sound to bring her back to reality.

"Oh, sorry," she said as she arrange her look "Your expression was lovely to watch," she said with a smile.

"Seriously? She's a freak" I said in my head.

"I agree to that" seconded Yasrina.

"What or who is Resurrection Dynasty," I asked her.

"I expected that question. Resurrection Dynasty or The Dynasty as we call it was a group founded by your sister. Their goal is simple but extremely difficult" she responded

"How can a goal be simple but extremely difficult? I'm a little lost can you explain more?"

"You see when your sister was still at the Headquarters, she was able to talk to a lot of us who had been captured, and gradually she started to build an organization. She selected a few persons who were able to enter places that the others amongst us were unable to get in. they played virtually all the role that was used to get the data that you had seen in the ring. Although we were eventually caught, it was the avenue that we used to escape the base that day"

"Seems like a difficult journey for you guys. But how was she able to get them to come under her? She was not having any money to pay you guys nor was she all that powerful and there was no way that she could be able to convince a lot of you to risk your lives for just a promise to bring down the government. There was always a possibility that you guys were bound to fail at all costs and not holding back the fact that there would be snitches that would betray you guys when you were in the process of your planning" I tried to get her to spill more

Shaking her head she said with great conviction "To filter out the snitches was the easiest, first, she didn't tell anyone what she was planning, she first started it as an underground fighters club where we would all go to fight ourselves. This way, we were able to find the snitches faster. What she set up was a network of few people, I didn't know how but she was always able to find the snitch and this way she started making her plans. From the underground fights, she started getting them to fish out small information for us and she was gathering them at the venue of the fight club. Then she selected her five generals" she paused.

"The jobs of these five generals were to get people whom they knew were going to be loyal to them and also had ranked in the officer's eyes and also had access to information and the first phase of the network was created. The difficult part was the escape. She knew that someone would still snitch so she made two plans for our escape one was to burst through and the other was to use one of the rebranded armored trucks that they had just brought to the base. We would have planned something better like using one of the air carriers but we only had one pilot among us and there was no possible way he was going to fly an air carrier alone".

"if you guys had everything planned then what happened on the day of the escape?" I inquired

"A slight mistake from one of the generals had almost busted the whole operation. On the day of the escape, we were meant to escape quietly but one of the generals was caught and detained for misconduct. Your sister could not leave him there and she wanted to save him but she instead decided to kill a whole lot of top-ranked officials to cause a lot of chaos on the base. Although this help us escape we were unable to leave unscratched. We had a total of a thousand three hundred persons that were brought from all over the planet to come to the base. Your sister succeed in pulling over seven hundred and ninety persons to her fraction but we lost over half of them".

"If you said she caused a lot of chaos on the base for your escape how did you guys get damaged that badly?"

"When we planned out the escape, we had already mapped out a route for that, we were to take one of the less used routes by the military. We decided to use that route after months and months of research but we had no idea why the route was abandoned was because it had a land mine field. We walked straight into our deaths. We were too naïve to think that that route was safe. As soon as the first blast happened the escape plant fell into shambles and we gradually started to fall apart your sister took control immediately but the base was already on our tails. The hit us hard that we lost our bearings. Your sister had no option but to divide the party into six and hoped that they made it out alive and we decided on a medium of communication. If they were to be caught for any reason, they were to kill themselves else they would put the others in danger. We lost three generals to that escape plan. But the chase got hotter when they discover that over twenty top-ranking officers had died. They had to intensify their chase and this gave us little room for making decisions at the end of the day, we had to abandon our vehicle and made use of our legs to get here. Our journey here was filled with disasters one after another. But we were lucky to get here. My brother was the only one I could ask for refuge and I've been here for quite some time and my assignment was to wait for your arrival. Your sister refused to stay at a particular location she once said that if she stayed in one place the others would be in danger. I know she wanted you to find out the others and bring them together to finish the dream but if you walked up to them as you are no one would answer you so you need to get stronger than they all are. There is a document there that has a way you can contact us and here is a new set of identities for you. I hope you live up to her expectation" she said.

"My sister and you guy had done a lot to get yourselves out here but I think attacking with a big party is not something I would need to do right now. There are still ways to attack them upfront without putting myself at great risk is there not?"

"Is not that there isn't but it would take quite some time. Life for instance if you were to join another organization like one of the controlling families you would need to fight your way through to the top of that family before you would be able to summon your army. How many years do you thank that would take? Many of us would have been caught and put to death but then"

"Tell me how many powers are there on the planet that have equal powers as the Military"

"There are five bodies that control the planet we call them the Pentagon. It carries five big organizations the first being the military, followed by the Four Families of the Providences, then The Unmarked Association, The Space Association, and the Renegades. Now, these five bodies keep each other under checks and balances but the military has the smallest powers and they are trying so hard to rope in the Space Association also known as the most mysterious association because there has been no way to know how they recruit their members and the Renegades who are those who came from the Four families but had a fall out with them and left. It is believed that Four Families and the Renegades are always at loggerheads"

"So these five bodies are those that control the planet right? Don't they know what the military is doing and aren't they trying to stop them? At least most of these people are coming from their territories in the first place"

"Everyone has skeletons in their wall robes, so they rub the backs of the military, the military supplies them with resources and technologies so they are all on the same ship all seeking power. But other powers are also on the planet. They are the religions like the Church of Light and the Demon Association and the Academies" Rhoda added.
