Chapter 3: Let’s Begin(Edited)

The Starlight continent is a place that has a surface area similar to Jupiter and is made up of 3 empires that rule the hundreds of smaller kingdoms and in each kingdom there was a major sect and in the three empires there are the three main sects that all others give tribute to and the empires coexist with the three major sects semi peacefully.
The sects are the main fighting force of every empire and kingdom, however, there is an unspoken rule that anyone of the nascent soul stage and above will not fight in any wars for obvious reason, but mainly because if they did the battle field would be a blood bath and neither side would really win, because the losses of lives would just make the kingdom vulnerable to other invaders.
The starlight continent is the smallest of the three major continents the other two are inaccessible to people under the nascent soul stage.
Right now Merlin is in the empire of Rigel which happens to be smack dab in the middle of the continent and the largest of the three empires.
In the Rigel empire the major sect is the all encompassing sect and the mystical forest, where Merlin is right now, is right in the middle of the empire and is considered forbidden territory because of its strong magical beasts, and because of the guardian of the forest that lives near the core area of the forest.
The guardian beast is a terrifying ancient dragon.

"Based on my map I should be in the center area of the forest" - Merlin
ROAR!!!!
Suddenly a defending wail of pain from a powerful beast is heard nearby. Feeling curious Merlin decides to head over to take a look at what made the painful cry.
When Merlin arrives at the area he sees a dragon with a deadly purple hue around what looks to be a puncture wound. Not to far away from the dragon Merlin sees a dead colossal king scorpion.
The dragon, looking on the verge of death because of the poison from the king scorpion, continues to wail in pain.
"System is there anything I can do." - Merlin
[Answer, if you can find the Phoenix blood leaf you have an 80% chance of healing the dragon]
As the system said if he could find a Phoenix blood leaf the dragon could be saved but those only grow where Phoenix blood has been spilled before in high quantities.
Thinking the dragon in front of him may know Merlin walks up to the dragon to see if it can point it in the direction of where it may be.
As he heads towed the the dragon the dragon also notices him and throw a vicious look and speaks
"Come to finish this great one off to claim the rewards." - unknown dragon
"You can talk." - Merlin
"Of course I can, I am a dragon that has lived far more lifetimes than you can count and my cultivation is higher than you will ever reach." The dragon spoke in a condescending manner as if it was speaking to an ant.
"Well,despite what you might think I'm not here to kill you I'm here to help but if you don't want my help then I don't mind letting you die." - Merlin
"And how will an ant like you with no cultivation help me." - Unknown dragon
"If you must know I could go and get a Phoenix blood lead to heal you."
"Do you even know where the leaf grows, and even if you knew you couldn't harvest it with out a cultivation of at least 9th grade Qi condensation but even then all the properties would be lost do to the inept handling."
System will I really not be able to harvest the leaf Merlin thought to himself while questioning why the system would give him an idea he could not use.
[Abrupt mission created: harvest a Phoenix blood leaf and save the dragon in front of you.
