Where You Go I Go...

_________________________________________________________________

As the battle between Kokichi and Mahito reaches its climax, the tension is palpable. The remnants of Mechamaru Absolute's protective barriers disintegrate, leaving Kokichi exposed and desperate. Mahito, now with a chilling confidence, is about to deliver the final blow when a sudden, palpable shift in the atmosphere occurs.

Geto, sensing a powerful and familiar presence approaching, decides it's best not to be seen. With a knowing smile, he turns to leave. "Mahito," Geto says over his shoulder, "a nice surprise is coming your way. Be ready."

Mahito, still mending his wounds from the brutal fight with Kokichi, glances curiously at Geto. "A surprise? What could that possibly be?" His gaze drifts towards the lake, where a massive shadow is forming beneath the surface. He then looks up to see a massive boulder, seemingly covered in cursed energy, hurtling through the air towards him.

A smirk plays on Mahito's lips as he watches the boulder's trajectory. "How quaint. Another feeble attempt to take me down? I'll just heal—"

His arrogance is cut short as he realizes the boulder is not merely a distraction but a vessel carrying something much more formidable. The boulder crashes into the ground, exploding into a shower of debris and revealing the figure within is none other than, Yuji Itadori, his expression as cold and determined as ever.

Yuji's eyes lock onto Mahito, his demeanor unwavering. He steps forward from the rubble of the boulder, his presence commanding and resolute. His gaze shifts briefly to Kokichi, who is struggling to maintain control of Mechamaru, and then firmly fixes back on Mahito.

Yuji's mind isn't exactly on right now but without a doubt, looking at the uncertain remains of Kokichi Muta, he reminds himself, that these guys are curses.

...

The forest was silent, save for the distant rustling of leaves as Yuji Itadori and Mahito faced off. The air crackled with tension, and Mahito's eyes sparkled with malicious delight.

"Ah, Yuji Itadori," Mahito said with a gleeful grin. "How did you find us? Did you come all this way just for me?"

Yuji's expression was cold, his eyes narrowing with a mix of determination and rage. "Wherever you go, I'll follow you. I'll find you. And I'll kill you."

Mahito chuckled, his voice dripping with contempt. "You mean 'exorcise,' don't you? Or have you decided to abandon your role as a jujutsu sorcerer?"

Yuji's focus remained unyielding. He glanced back briefly, recalling how he had come to this point. Moments before he began his search for the mole, Yuji had been overwhelmed by a repulsive presence—a deep, seething hatred that seemed to emanate from the very core of his being. It was unmistakably Mahito's influence, and the urgency to confront him was undeniable.

He had made a hasty excuse to Nobara and Megumi, who, trusting in Yuji's capabilities, had allowed him to leave. Their faith in him was unwavering, a trust he could not afford to betray.

Mahito, assessing his condition, noted with a smirk, "My cursed energy is at about 50%—a fair bit depleted from the Domain Expansion. It's always a costly endeavor." He tilted his head mockingly as if calculating the odds of victory.

Yuji's eyes, though still focused on Mahito, were distant for a moment as he grappled with the disturbing reality of the curse before him. "How do you sleep at night?" he asked, his voice strained with the weight of his anger and confusion.

Mahito's smile widened, an unsettling gleam in his eyes. "Soundly, of course. I've no reason not to. I assume you're still upset about Junpei, aren't you?" He waved his hand dismissively, conjuring a small puppet of Junpei with a cruel flick of his cursed energy. The puppet, a mockery of the boy's likeness, was then blown to pieces with a casual gesture.

Mahito's taunts were relentless. "I've killed a few nobodies at Jujutsu Tech too, but honestly, I've forgotten them already. They were just insignificant."

Yuji's anger surged to a new level, the intensity of his emotions almost palpable. His body trembled with rage, but amid the fury, he felt a grim sense of relief. It was as if the resolution to end Mahito's life was an inevitability he had finally embraced.

He steadied his breathing, his resolve hardening. "You're done here, Mahito. This ends now."

The forest around them seemed to hold its breath, the stage set for a confrontation that would determine the fate of both curse and sorcerer.
