Introduction: A World Beyond Our Sight

In the beginning, long before the arrival of mankind on Earth, there was a world veiled in the secrets of creation. It was a realm of ethereal beauty, where the laws of physics as we know them did not apply. Well, amidst these cosmic rays, some of these laws still don't apply to us, but little do the mortals know. We the jinn, thrived with longer life spans than what has been granted the mortals, as we are beings of a pure smokeless flame. With the ability to do as we please, unlike the angels shackled by their own creation, we chose bloodshed and corruption. After all, who would stop us? Sigh... Indeed, we harmed ourselves.

Within this earthly realm, one jinn stood apart. His name would soon be wiped away by the sands of time, and only echoes of his deeds would remain. A jinn, unlike others of his kind, went against his beastly nature to cultivate a radiance that surpassed all others. Little did we know such radiance would be short-lived, leaving behind a beacon of celestial darkness. Staying clear of all the Raiding, Plundering, Siege Warfare, and Looting around him, even higher lifeforms recognized his efforts until his rank was increased to be among the assembly of angels, a privilege granted to him by the Divine for his unwavering devotion.

Iblis was granted a rank among the angels, and in those celestial realms, there was no space of a hand span except that he praised the Supreme One there. His devotion was unwavering, and his radiance shone like a beacon among the angelic assembly. It was a privilege beyond imagination for a jinn, and he revelled in his newfound status, basking in the brilliance of the heavenly spheres.

But as the ages past, corruption spread among the jinn. The freedom they enjoyed turned into recklessness, and they indulged their desires without restraint. The realm that was once pure and harmonious began to echo with discordant cries, and the balance of cosmic forces was disrupted.

The Supreme One, in His wisdom and justice, could not allow this corruption to continue unchecked as He decided to send a group of angels among those in charge of punishment to the jinn. Hearing this, Iblis who had been mocked for his worship by his people who had ignorantly gone astray, could not help but get excited over the idea. Gathering all his courage, he asked to be among those of the angelic ranks who had been assigned to bring reckoning upon the actions of the Jinn. And they ventured into the heart of the jinn's earthly realm.

.....

Mountains exploding, heavens falling, the lands cracking, and the sky splitting. Smoke as far as my bloodied eyes could see, limbs sprawled across a plane of destruction, loud explosions followed by gut-wrenching screams, then there's me, lying on the brink of death trying my best to make sense of this chaos which bore no resemblance to the world i remember. And amidst this chaotic scene was a scene that strangely looked even more out of place. A jinn in the diatance watching as all this madness unfolded, with a look of detachment in his eyes he locked eyes with me as life drained out of me. My last thoughts being, why? why wasn't he helping? why was he watching us get slaughtered? why wasn't he also in pain? The more he looked at this strange scene the more he felt he had missed something crutial. It was only at his moment of death that he realized the face of the lofty jinn was not that of a stranger, wasn't he the one formally known by his treason against his own clan after he turned away from the teachings of the fathers and strayed from the path of following our desires or our nature as we hypocritically used to call it. Wasn't he crazy person who warned us of a punishment if we followed our desires? but as a long chained beast are, we ignored his and run amok, but today we have exhausted the length of the chain and lay here, dying in a pool our our own blood.

If only we had listened, this unholy punishment would not have befallen us, and now we lay here, on the brink of death, and full of regret.

The angels of punishment had descended upon the jinn with a divine fury, and a great confrontation ensued. Iblis, once radiant and honored, now found himself as a representation of Devine punishment, gazing upon the weak willed. The jinn, who had once reveled in their freedom, now faced the consequences of their actions.

After the conquest of the angels leaving only a few jinn to dwell in the waters, A command of the Supreme One resounded as He would now place a new Khalifa (representative or steward) on Earth. The expression of the cold Ibliss could not help but flicker with exitement over the prospect of such a role. His arrogance had swelled to such proportions that he believed none other than himself was fit for the job. He saw himself as the perfect candidate to wield power and authority over this newly cleansed Earthly realm.

As your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority," a profound silence fell over the heavenly realm. The angels who had just meted out divine punishment upon the corrupted jinn were now dumbfounded as to why another chaotic being would be created. So they questioned the Supreme One's decision, their voices resonating with concern and confusion.

"Will You, O Supreme One, place upon it (the earth) another creation who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we exalt You with praise and declare Your perfection?" they implored, their words echoing through the celestial expanse.

In response, the Supreme One spoke with an authority that transcended all understanding, saying, "Indeed, I know that which you do not know."

Upon hearing these words, Iblis, who had once harbored grandiose plans of ruling the earth was shaken to the core by the realization that It would not be him; he was not the chosen one. This realization struck him like a bolt of lightning, and the fiery pride that had consumed him was extinguished. In that moment, one could almost feel the malice oozing from his entire being towards this creature that had stolen his self-claimed position even before its creation.

However, Iblis was not one to act rashly, especially not in the presence of the Supreme One. He restrained himself, but his efforts were futile, for indeed, nothing could possibly elude the sight of the Supreme Overseer. The Divine's decree had been set in motion, and Iblis could only seethe in silence.

With the very hands of the Supreme Creator, using the soil gathered from the earth by the angels, a profound act of creation began. The clay, imbued with divine purpose, was molded into a form that would come to be known as the body of Adam. This earthly vessel, crafted with the utmost care and wisdom, was destined to become the earthly representative, the Khalifa, of the Supreme One's divine plan.

As the hollow husk of Adam lay before them, an object of divine craftsmanship, Iblis couldn't help but visit it with malice in his heart. He stared at this unimpressive vessel, this hollow form that he could effortlessly flow through, and to him, what was hollow but a weakness. It was his jealousy and arrogance that fueled his curiosity, and he pondered aloud, "What is so special about this creature? What makes him worthy of the Supreme One's attention?"

Iblis couldn't fathom why he, with all his brilliance and radiance, was overlooked in favor of this mere earthly creation. In his bitterness, he hatched a plan, a sinister vow that would resonate through timelessness. He declared, "If I am given power over this creature, I will misguide and bully him. I will lead him astray from the path of righteousness, and I will prove that I am superior."

But he didn't stop there. In his arrogance, Iblis further challenged the divine order, proclaiming, "And if he is given authority over me, I will disobey him. I will defy his rule at every turn, for I am the one who deserves to be in charge."

And so, Iblis's heart brimmed with defiance and malice as he awaited the fateful moment when the soul would be breathed into Adam's earthly vessel.

The Supreme Creator, in His infinite wisdom, knew the true purpose of this creation. As the appointed time arrived, He commanded the angels, saying, "When I have proportioned him (Adam) and breathed into him My soul, fall down before him in prostration."

When the divine breath was blown into Adam, it was as if a stellar symphony of creation had commenced. The ethereal soul descended from the heavens and flowed into him, starting from his head and cascading down through his body like a river of enlightenment. As the soul settled in his brain, it was as though the seals of knowledge had been undone. Adam's mind was illuminated with the names of all things, a profound understanding of the universe's secrets, and an awareness of his purpose in the grand scheme of creation.

His eyes, which had been veiled in darkness, opened to the surrounding gardens, and his gaze fell upon the angels as far as his eyes could see. Their presence fascinated him to no end, their beauty and the divine atmosphere enveloping them left him in awe. Yet, his actions of blatant disregard for the presence of the Almighty Supreme One baffled the angels, who had never witnessed such audacity in the face of the divine.

As the soul reached his nose and mouth, Adam involuntarily sneezed, a reflexive response to the overwhelming sensations coursing through him. In response, the angels, who had been entrusted with divine wisdom, instructed Adam to say, "Alhamdulillah"—an expression of gratitude and acknowledgment of the Creator's infinite mercy.

The Supreme Creator responded to Adam's gratitude with a gentle and loving, "Yarhamukarabbuk (I, your Lord, has had Mercy on you)." This exchange marked the beginning of a profound relationship between the Creator and His chosen creation.

Yet, as the soul continued its descent and settled in Adam's hands and stomach, a new sensation washed over him—a desire for nourishment. Without thinking, he reached out his hands towards the lush fruits that adorned the garden, driven by an innate longing for sustenance.

The angels, who had been left momentarily speechless at what they perceived as a blasphemous act of not paying attention to being in the presence of the Supreme One, awaited the inevitable divine retribution. However, to their surprise, the Supreme One merely smiled and uttered, "Indeed, man has been created in haste." This cryptic statement hinted at the complexities of human nature and the inherent imperfections of creation.

Upon the soul reaching the feet of this chosen creation, the divine command echoed through the heavens as all the angels who had settled in the presence of Adam, immediately fell into prostration . Their submission and reverence were palpable, a testament to the divine plan that had unfolded.

Well, all but one prostrated...
