Jealous Mary. James and The Girlfriend Experience. A Fight.

The Marauders were back together at breakfast the next day, James and Remus looked pale and a little ill. All of them had dark rims under their eyes. All of them were whispering and talking about something. Lily looked over, again and again, and she was glad James was okay. She smiled.

"Hi,"

Lily's smile turned upside down, as she saw Mary join the Marauders, by sitting next to James.

"Hey,"

"James, want to go to Hogsmeade with me?"

They had forgotten about the free weekend they had, being OWL'S students they could go to Hogsmeade every week if they wanted.

"No, Mary, I think I'll sleep in, I'm really tired, but what about dinner?"

"Didn't you sleep last night?"

"Not much."

"Why not? You went to bed before I did, at like 10 O'clock."

"I was out, in the grounds, plus I couldn't sleep."

"Okay!" Mary was convinced, she didn't see Lily come in that night either.

'James was running after Lily for five years, he just stopped dating me, and forgets about her totally. I don't think so.' Mary's mind came to a conclusion that seemed obvious to her.

"What were you doing outside?"

"Nothing."

"Really, you stayed out and you did nothing." Mary scoffed.

"Yes, I did nothing." James felt his temper rising, 'Why was she being so paranoid? Everyone knows I am "upto something" '

"Well, I don't buy it." Mary walked out of the great hall.

"What's her problem?" Sirius voiced what all of them were thinking. Even Lily.

James walked after her, he didn't want to. But he had to. He was tired and sleepy and a little cranky. He was feeling a little tinkle of anger wanting to burst out. He took a deep breath, he had a jealous and suspicious girlfriend to deal with.

"What's up with you?"

James was sitting on the armchair near the fireplace, he was tired, his eyes were swollen and heavy, he had a lot to do, not to mention a Quidditch practice, later that evening.

"What's up with me?" Mary was almost screaming. "What the hell were you doing out all night?"

"That is none of your business." James was feeling his temper rise.

"None of my business?" Mary looked at him with a piercing glare, "It is my business, so tell me what you were doing out in the grounds, in the middle of the night?"

"I was out!" James said slowly, he could usually control his temper, but when it went out of control, he couldn't do anything about it.

"I was with Sirius, Peter and Remus, what I was doing is between me and them, I can't and won't tell you."

"James, you are being unreasonable," Mary stated. "I deserve to know!"

"Mary! I will not tell you why I was out, okay?" James told him, "It's a secret, and I tend to keep it, and I would suggest you trust me on this, I was with my friends, and if I want to keep this secret, you should be respectful enough to not barge in it."

"I don't buy it!" Mary said through gritted teeth, James was glad that the room was empty.

"Then, don't! Alright!" James took his jacket from the armchair, and walked up to the dorm room, "See if I care about that! My secrets will always be my secrets!"

"Listen to me!"

"Mary, I can't do this, okay, " James was bursting with anger, "Okay, I don't want to, I am going to sleep."

"James..."

James was not listening anymore, he was now fuming with anger, he climbed up to his dorm room, and fell into his bed without changing.

'Why the hell is she so paranoid? The woman has trust issues, I mean I have been doing this since forever, and I have to tell her where I was. She is being so nosy, I have secrets and I'll keep them.'

He thought. As his mind was drifting off to sleep. His eyes were slowly closing, and soon he drifted off to sleep.

"Come on, Mate, get up!" Sirius was pounding his head with a pillow, "Come on, you know, Sandy will kill you if you are late again for practice. Come on, let's go!"

James opened his eyes as if seconds after drifting off, it wasn't a few seconds, he had been sleeping for almost the whole day.

He shoved the glasses on his eyes, and looked at the clock, it was six O clock.

"20 minutes..." He groaned. "Padfoot, I'll be in the shower, what happened all day?"

"Besides the fact that your crazy girlfriend was pestering us about what we did last night, and if Lily was with you, and all the other girls in fifth and the fourth year are hopeful that you will break it off with Mary so they can have a shot with you,...Nothing."

Sirius snickered. James threw a pillow on his head, and got out of bed,

'You be ready too, or Sandy will kill you too, Padfoot.'

"I'll be there, Prongsie, I am not the one with the girlfriend drama." Sirius grinned.

There was something waiting for James downstairs.

It is Your FAULT!"

"How is it my fault?"

"IT IS TOTALLY YOUR FAULT...NOW THAT HE WAS GETTING OVER YOU...You want him now,"

"I didn't do anything!"

James came out of his dorm room, his polished broomstick in his hand, and he ran his other hand through his slightly wet hair,

"Your fault, your fault." Mary was standing by the stairs and was pointing his finger at Lily. Everyone was listening, no one missed a girl-fight around.

"James, there you are," Lily saw him. "Can you please tell Mary, I was not with you last night!"

James thought, ' technically she was, but she didn't know the stag was me,'

"No, she wasn't." He said shortly and headed towards the door.

"James, I am so..." Mary started to say.

"Not now, Quidditch practice." James wanted to keep it as short as possible, he was still tired and now he was hungry and he really didn't feel like getting into this.

"James, you walk out on me," Mary was threatened by Lily so she was threatening James, "We are done."
